View 3 RepliesI been trying to get the outline as in the above image, but i just cant get it right. I tried adding a Stroke, but every time i get smooth edges, instead of getting them like the above image. Is there a way how to get the outline around the numbers to look exactly the same?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to create an image with a certain font, but only want to have an outline of that font. If the background were a solid color, I would know how to do it, but the background has a texture to it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've tried the outline effect similar to the one around "Dave Matthews Band" in the picture linked but I come up short. At first I thought it was a type of outer glow but have come to the conclusion that is not. I've tried Layer Style:> Stroke and come closer but still no cigar.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI followed the steps to create a font outline, manipulated the selected font, then moved to a new page-project - I inserted new type - it looks fine at 11 pt, but when I enlarged it, it still has the outline effect - also, the font becomes nothing but a black blob the more I increase the size - seems like the create outline command is still working on a new page.
Â
How do I turn off the create outline command so I can return to regular fonts on new pages?
AI 6. Here is what I have. A background shape that is a gradient. Type on top of the shape. Chiller font. I need to punch a hole into the background in the shape of the font. I created outline with the font. Ungrouped the outlines. I go to pathfinder and select exclude. My gradient which was red to black is now black only. It excluded the font, (punched the hole) but ruined my gradient because the gradient no longer exist. Just black.
Â
The reason I need to exclude the font is because it does not print well. I'm using cmyk doc color mode. But the white font and the reddish background where the font is located kind of blend making the font kind of hard to read. I figured punching a hole in the shape of the fonts would solve that problem.
I am trying to outline my text so that I can apply a gradient color fill and when I go to TYPE > CREATE OUTLINES it is greyed out. I try to expand the appearance and then create outlines. When I try to expand the appearance of the font, it is also greyed out.Â

How can I get the same effect as this without trying to convert outline to object, Corel freezes up trying to do it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I select text in photoshop cs4, it seems to invert just the luminance (forgive me if my terminology is incorrect). That is to say, it doesn't change the color of stuff in the background, but it does invert whether it's light or dark. I've added an example to this post, the top text is selected and the bottom is not. I like the way the top selection looks and frequently would like to be able to do exactly this, and apply it to whole images. What's happening when you select text, is there a specific name for this effect, and how can I replicate it?

How the effects in these pictures can be replicated and possibly tell me or provide me with a PSD? These are some blood work for walls using in a game, due to the color burn and dark blend these look very realistic in this game :

replicate the filters and effects used on this photo? Obviously I know the subject matter has been cut and pasted as a new layer but I want to recreate the vintage style feel about it.what process has been done to background.
With autumn looming Id like to get some nice outdoor shots in the woods of my friends and family and then duplicate this filter style.
i've been driving myself to the edge of crazy over the past few hours trying to replicate this effect. i'm by no means a photoshop expert (obviously), but have used it for the past few years. still, i'm stuck at this and maybe it's really easy to solve. the effect i'm talking about is the following:
note how on the left side of the graphic, the item seems perfectly even with the background, yet on the right side it's "standing out" as if it was a sticker i have no problems achieving the background effect, but i'm stuck at how to get this effect done. i've tried rotating the graphic, twisting it, distorting it, but i can't seem to be able to replicate the effect correctly.
Currently self teaching myself using 3D on a current project I'm working on. A cable stayed bridge having a span of 30 metres supported primarily by a single diagonal parabolic arch. The arch is square in section but rotated so it looks like a diamond along the arch length. To draw the arch I have drawn the arch sections at intervals along the centreline where it changes size in section 1.4, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0m. I have then used the loft command to draw the arch using the drawn sections as the objects to loft through.
For the GA drawing I have a plan view and elevation. When printing the generated/ lofted lines are are pixelated and not very crisp or clear (not a solid line).
I have tried adjusting the visual style and shade plot, for each of the options and none of them are giving me a solid crisp outline for the generated arch. I have also had a little play using the visual styles manager but nothing seems to work and also tried maximum quality in the print options.
What do I need to do to print a solid crisp outline for the outline of the arch please, are you able to select the edges of the square and convert them to solid 2d/ 3d lines.

I made this image a while ago and I can't remember quite how I did it. What I can remember is that I used rendering clouds and adding noise, channels, and changing the color at some point. I did most of it from this video: [URL]....
Â
But I didn't do everything from it, I tweaked something, it may have been the lighting rendering.
Â
The reason I want to recreate this is because I need a version of it in higher quality. It's supposed to have a rock texture look to it, and I made it look golden.
Â
how to replicate this.
I'm currently working on to pics and would like to cut the shaking hands on pic A and replicate this on pic B - How is this done - im on Photoshop 5.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI work for a small non-profit and we don't have the resources to use the sort of freelance designers I would love to use, so I have to do a lot in-house. Recently I saw an effect that I would like to replicate.
It's a small image but you can see that it's a picture that's been blended with a cool blue effect. I would like to do this, but am not sure how to get there.
I'd like to replicate the text effect in the image posted here. Colors are not a factor because it will be toned when complete. The effect appears to have the text washed out in parts as well as not horizontally aligned. The alignment part isn't that critical however . the washed out look is what I'm looking for.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a black-and-white outline drawing that I want to color in using the "Bucket Fill" tool. There are two things I'd like to do to make it easier:
1. Is there a way to prevent Bucket Fill from leaking through small gaps in the drawing? Usually what happens is, I fill in one region, and then suddenly a much larger region gets filled in. I then have to examine the borders of the region for a small opening, close the gap with black, and then try again. Is there a feature that lets me say e.g. "Don't fill through gaps less than 4 pixels wide"?
2. Once I'm done coloring, I want to remove the black outline to make a more realistic, less cartoony image. However, it's tedious to go and paint over every segment of the outline with the color of its adjoining regions. What I want to do is essentially: Replace every black pixel in the image with the color of the closest non-black pixel. Is there a feature that does this?
Also, if there are third-party plugins that do these things, that would work just as well.
