is there anyway of opening old files from previous edition of autocad on the newer version, have a file from a few years ago and it wont open now on the new one?
Is it possible to open a file that was created in Adobe After Effects CC while working on Adobe After Effects CS6? I know that you usually can't open a file from a newer version of the program on an older version.
When opening a photograph in recently installed version of PSE11 they all appear oversaturated. I have checked all images in Canon DPP and Serif Photoplus 5 and they are fine.  PSE 11 was OK initially. The only changes I have made were to install a printer profile for my Canon Pixma IP4200 and calibrate my screen. However, printed images are fine.  Running in Vista.
I have the main screen pop up and asks if I want to organize my pictures or edit them. Nothing happens when I clock edit. Then I go into the organize and try to go to edit and an error message comes up saying I need the trial to dowload to use this. I try clicking downlaod and nothing happens?
I cannot save my previous files created on a student version to an upgraded 2014 version. I tried changing the save as path in the options menu, but no luck. I am able to open the file in the upgraded version but it states that it will open as a student version. Also I cannot copy and paste anything from the student version to the upgraded one. Not sure why.
i am trying to open a revit 2012 file in to revit 2013 but it is showing me an error thar says: There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements. and then this message: Data in this file is currupt and needs to be manually recoverd. but I can perfectly open the same file in revit 2012..
I am looking for a way to verify what version an AutoCAD file is without opening the file. I have a customer that requests the files to be in an older version of AutoCAD and for QA purposes I would like to verify that the files we are sending out are in the correct version.
I am opening a file from 2004 and I am using AutoCAD Arch 2012. When I open the file everything is there, but the doors do not cut through the walls. The doors are still there but are not "anchored". Is there a way to fix this easily? I also lost everything out of my door schedule. I know I will get my schedule back when the doors get anchored back to the wall.
These Application Options settings change not infrequently and for reasons that I cannot be certain of:
Sketch: Enable Heads-up Display Edit Dimension when created Look at sketch...on...creation Part: No new sketch goes to x-y plane
This may happen after when I open parts from Inventor 2011 (maybe 2010) into 2012, then create a new part. I would expect the 2012 App Options to be the master, so I don't know why a legacy part would be allowed to change those settings.Â

After I installed Photoshop CS 6 64 bit on my PC, I discovered I also needed the 32 bit version for twain support, so I then added the 32 bit version. My problem is now all tiff, PSD, etc. files in Windows Explorer as well as the "Edit In Photoshop" command in Lightroom defaults to and opens up the 32 bit version. How can I change this to default to the 64 bit version?
I recently got a new laptop with windows 8, it is horrible. Aside from that I was able to install my CS5 , I pinned my 32 bit to the task bar but for some reason whenever I am in bridge and want to open an image (s) it goes to open the 64 bit Photoshop.
our company use Photoshop in combination with PDF-Files. Normally we can open every of our PDFs with Photoshop.
But now we have some PDFs that we can't open with the 64Bit version. If we try it the application crashes. But we are able to open the same files with the 32Bit version of Photoshop. We assume a bug in the 64Bit Version. Â How to get the a PDF-Sample-File because i am not allowed to append the file to a public space.
My main user folder on the iMac is set to be shared (read/write, including all enclosed files) with my MacBook Pro. The job is a series of one-page InDesign files (they are newspaper advertisements). The IDD files contain a series of Illustrator files with linked PSD files. The idea is that we can both work on the .idd and .ai files in the same folder at the same time. Â It's all working fine EXCEPT that whenever an .ai file is opened on the MacBook, Illustrator doesn't know where the linked PSD files are. We can update the link, but when the .ai file is then opened on the iMac and saved, the same thing happens the next time it is opened on the Macbook. Â I don't want to embed the PSD files into the .ai files as sometimes I have to modify them and they can be linked to up to 20 .ai files. Â G5 iMac OSX 10.7.5 / Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.2 / networked via FireWire cable / file sharing on, laptop user has Administrator status, all files are read/write, permissions include all enclosed files / CS6
I installed Photoshop CS6 - 64 bit, but Bridge keeps opening up photos in my CS5 that is still on my computer. How do I change this so that it will open the photos in Photoshop CS6?
I'm having trouble with PE 12. It is not saving new versions of files in version sets even though I select the option to do so when I save-as from the editor.  Also, when I create a new file, say a photomerge panorama, it does not include it into elements even though I have selected the option to do so.  This appears to be a bug (or 2).
I used Adobe DNG Converter version 8.3.0.141 to convert .rw2 files created by my Panasonic Lumix FZ200 camera. These files won't transfer into the Organizer and, when trying to open them from the Editor, I get an error message saying the file can't be opened "because it is the wrong type of file".

Why are my previously edited canon 5d mark 3 raw xmp files no longer recognized and all sliders set to zero? I can see the xmp files associated with the raw file in their folder. The files were originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x -in July 2012 - and recently re-opened in the same CS6/ACR 7.x.  The canon 5d mark 2 files from the same time/event are showing up fine. I have updated everything, but both before and after the update, same issue with the Mark 3 files.  On a side note:We have found that opening mark 2 files (that were originally edited in CS4 / ACR 5.7) in CS 6 / ACR 7.x and making any changes such as color coding causes all previous xmp information being zero'd out in the mark 2 xmp file. Not sure if this is a symptom of the same problem? Except the difference here is the Mark 3 files have never been touched outside of version CS6/ACR7.x - however the folder which holds both mark 2 & mark 3 files from the same event has been opened in the CS4 / ACR 5.7 window but without touching the files. By opening the folder in CS4 I can see that the Mark 3 files aren't reading and then know this event was originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x  Specifics: PS CS6 13.0.4 x64 Mac OSX 10.6.8 Canon 5d Mark 3 Raw files
i bought photoshop CS6 a few months ago and last month i had to get rid of things so i had my comp automatically delete downloaded files etc. didnt think it would delete paid for apps. anyway, is there a way i can recover it without having to buy it again?
I recently purchased CS6 and loaded it to my desktop PC running Windows 7 and everyhing is fine. Â I recently purchased a new laptop and loaded a second copy to it (running Windows 8). When I process a RAW file and try to open it in PS6 about every 4th file does not appear in the PS6 workspace. The file details show in the top left corner, the background layer appear, I supposedly can save this file but I cannot see anything. When I close PS6 and re-open it and re-open the ACR file, then open to PS6 if works fine.
I have Photshop CS6 Extended but when I click on the .cr2 which is the RAW file I keep getting an error message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"
I have tried installing the camera raw plugin Photoshop Camera Raw 7.1
I am running CS4. I have downloaded all recent upgrades. I have upgraded my camera body from a Nikon D90 to a D7000. Photoshop will not open the D7000 RAW NEF files. Jpeg files are fine.
Yesterday, before closing down, I uninstalled P/S 7, CS2 and CS3 to gain space, but do not know whether that action is relevant to my problem. Today I find that JPEGs will not open in Photoshop, and in Bridge only by going through Camera Raw. Photoshop will open tiffs, while Bridge will open some, but not all tiffs, through Camera Raw only. This problem follows many months of trouble-free operation of CS6.
My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate. I have downloaded the latest patches for CS6, and have set the Bridge Preferences item on File Associations to Default.
