Photoshop :: Keywords And Rankings

Feb 11, 2008

I have been adding keywords to my files via File>File Info> and then entering keywords in the keywords box. I then have been 'Saving for the web' as a jpg file. When I go to open the saved file the keywords are gone. What am I doing wrong?

My goal is to increase my search engine organic rankings for the specific keywords. Is there a better way to go about it with images? Is it even worth doing for product images?

How can I move many nested keywords back into the main listing of keywords? I was up late a few nights ago and never noticed that about 80 new keywords were being placed as (nested?) under another keyword. How can I get them back from under that keyword and into the main keywrod list?

Lightroom :: How To Select Multiple Keywords To Add To Images Without Keywords Collection

Aug 1, 2012

Lightroom has a collection containing all images without keywords.

As soon as I apply a keyword to images they instantly disappear from the collection. This is alright when I only want to apply a single keyword, but how do I stop it happening when I want to apply multiple keywords to the same image(s)?

I run Lightroom on my laptop for field use. When I get home I want to transfer the files to my desktop sys which is much more robust for graphics handling. Photoshop :: Possible To Copy Keywords Backwards

Aug 28, 2013

I added Keywords to many jpg files when I should have added them to their scanned source files (tifs). Is there an efficient way to copy them from the jpg versions to their tif “originals?” Except for the suffixes, they are identically named. I know the keywords assigned to any one jpg can be dragged to its tif version (or to any any other image file).

But I have about nine thousand of them, each with its own set of keywords, and each with its own tif source file (with no keywords). Is there a way to automate this transfer en mass? Is there a way to tell the jpgs to transfer their keyword metadata to other files with the same names (minus prefix) or to any other files?

I’m using Bridge3 OSX but will use any software that can do this.

Photoshop :: CS2 Bridge Assign Keywords

I'm working through Scott Kelby's book on photoshop for digital photographers with a group of scrapbookers and am stuck in the bridge chapters. I would like to assign keywords to png files. Is there any way to do this? If I try to assign a keyword, my error message is that there is no metadata. One person in the group says she can assign a keyword to a png format.

Photoshop :: Bridge Is Loosing Images With Keywords

Oct 12, 2013

An interesting abnormally with Bridge 5.0.2.4 X64

Bridge is loosing images with keywords. After purging the cache and running a search all images return. However, this does not retain the images. I have seen the images disappear while watching the screen. Subsequent searches only retains a few of the hundreds of images with the keyword.

I have also removed and re-installed Bridge to no avail. I also believe I have the latest updates?

Photoshop :: Moving Keywords & Tags To A New Computer

Mar 9, 2008

I have 2 issues:

1) I have purchased a new computer and wish to move/copy/export all my photo's along with their Keywords & Tags to the new computer.

2) In doing the above will the pictures re-locate to the new computer in one directory or keep the same directory and sub-directories in tack? I have been saving my Pic's in a directory called: Pictures > Then by Year > Then by Month.

Moving the pictures from the old computer to new one is not the problem. It is maintaining the Directory Tree along with moving the Keywords and Tags.

Currently over 3,500 photos that I would rather not have to re-tag.

Photoshop :: How To I Delete Keywords, Titles, Descriptions?

Mar 27, 2007

I created a new Metadata template and left those fields blank. (only kept the copyright field the same)

I selected the test images and applied the new template but the old info wont leave. any ideas appreciated. thanks.

(made another template with word NONE, in all fields I want blank. If I apply that new template within PS and then save the file, it will overwrite the old info, but within Bridge, if I apply the new template, Bridge will not overwrite anything -- only add new info. This will be real cumbersome to make action on thousands of images. any way to get Bridge to do this right?

Photoshop Elements :: How To Restore Keywords And Albums In 10

Jun 25, 2013

My computer had to be reformatted with the operating system re-loaded (Vista).  I reloaded PE 10 and then moved my saved photos back into the software.  the problem is that all of my tags (various family and friends) seem to have disappeared completely from the Organizer as has an album I painstakingly set up.  I have all the photos, but a subset of them are not  organized into the album I created.

Is there any way to get back my tags (the categories aren't even showing in Organizer and the photos aren't tagged)  and to get back my album?

Photoshop Elements :: Multiple Search By Keywords Is Gone

In previous PSE-versions there was a small ticker next to each keyword to multiselect persons into a search.

This is gone, and I see no such functionality in "Peeople". It would be nice to have "People" among the keywords as well to in this way quick-search people and other keywords.

The goal is, to use the same Tag-structure to tag photos and also to filter them (most likely as you could do that with PSE 9 ) .

I don't want this `advanced search` window, that takes a lot of space - I want to see my photos, not a hug program border..

AutoCAD .NET :: Jig A Block With Keywords

Aug 6, 2012

I'm using the code from Kean's blog here to jig insert a block. What it's missing is the ability to change the rotation and base point during the jig.

I'm basically trying to reproduce the functionality that the normal Insert command gives which, I know, sounds a bit like I'm reinventing the wheel but I need to use the jig as I want to do other stuff to the block after the insert has finished like exploding it or changing its layer.

I've tried Tony T's commandline but that doesn't seem to work with commands that require user interaction.

I've got as far handling the keywords e.g. if the user enters "R" to rotate, I can ask them to enter an angle using ed.GetAngle but then if I call Run on the jig again (to continue the jig), the point that the block is inserted at is different to where the user clicked to place it. Calling Run again here might not be the right thing to do...

Also, I can't see how to temporarily add the block to the drawing so that the user can select a new base point by entering B.
