Jan 28, 2007I can't seem to save anything as a GIF file on Photoshop, not even regular ol' GIF images I haven't modified at all. It's not listed as a possible extension in the Save As window.

Nov 23, 2013Today I shot some more photos and was going to send them to a friend. After I resized them, I tried to save the new file as JPEG and there was no option to do so. I even opened one of yesterday's camera files and tried to save that as a JPEG, and still didn't see the option. All I get is something called .xcf.
I looked at the tutorial, and it said to make sure the mode was set to RGB. It was; I'd never changed this. It seems I've broken something, but I don't know where to look in order to fix it.

Jun 18, 2013am having an Issue with CS6 when saving files. When saving a file using the 'Save' option (not 'Save As') the file is not staying at the size of the artboard as it should, it is however being aurtomatically cropped down to the actual artwork size. This is causing issues with the Process we work with as we need the file to stay at the artboard size.If I click 'Save As' and change the Adobe PDF Preset to 'Press Quality' then this works, however this means that every file we save(which is quite alot in a day) means we have to go through the 'Save As' option and manually change each save.why this has suddenly started to happen with our Illustrators and do you know how to fix this so that it stays at the Artboard size when 'Save' is used?

Jan 13, 2012I cannot stand it when I make a new layer in Illustrator and the color hint becomes yellow. This usually happens on the third new layer into every project. I can go in and manually change it from yellow to the ten plus other colors, but I just want yellow completely out of the list. It's awful to look at, and I think every other color is easier.

Oct 16, 2012I have started editing photos using the Photo Fix Options in Instant Fix. I have then switched to Photo Editor to fine tune my edited picture. When I use save or save as, to save the edited picture both the edited and original appear in the files. If I start in in Photo Editor and save there is an option to uncheck that reads "Save in version set with Original" However I am more comfortable with beginning in Instant Fix and then switching to photo editor. For some reason when I go to save after switching from Instant fix to Photo editor the uncheck feature is no longer available. step by step instructions to save revised photo afterusing Instant Fix first then Photo Editor.

Jun 20, 2012When I first installed CS6 the 3D option disappeared when I tried to use it. I found out that this was because my graphics card was not adequate. So I purchased and installed a new graphics card and reinstalled CS6 but I cannot find the 3D option that is on the tutorial images.

Photoshop :: CS6 Update Option Does Not Run
Nov 10, 2013I ran the Update option once, mainly to get the ACR 8.2 version. It looked like all the files downloaded successfully and that the update process started. Then nothing.
- Clicking Update has no effect. There are absolutely no error messages.
- Downloading the ACR 8.2 file and trying to run the AdobePatchInstaller.exe file does nothing.
- Removing the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) Cache accomplished nothing.
- Trying to run the AAM does nothing.
A popup message just informed me that there are 9 Adobe updates available and to launch AAM. Which, of course, accomplishes nothing.A support person on Live Chat said this is a known issue.I'm running Win7 Pro, SP1, 64-bit, 8Gb RAM, GeForce GT 630 Nvidia chipset graphics card.

Sep 8, 2012I'm running Windows 7 64bit, and I have 2 AMD Radeon 6950's in crossfire. It has only been a couple of months since I used CS6's create 3D extrusion layer, and it used to work fine, but now it's greyed out no matter what type of layer I'm selected on. Photoshop is seeing my graphics card just fine [URL] and even says that 3D is an enabled feature if I mouse-over the Graphics Processor Settings box. I have the latest 12.8 AMD drivers. So, something between Photoshop and my graphics card are no longer playing nice - maybe an AMD Catalyst software setting? Although I've made sure that all my settings were restored back to default. I should also note that all other GPU enhancement features that I'm aware of seem to be working fine (like the quick zoom rendering, etc.)
