When I first installed CS6 the 3D option disappeared when I tried to use it. I found out that this was because my graphics card was not adequate. So I purchased and installed a new graphics card and reinstalled CS6 but I cannot find the 3D option that is on the tutorial images.
As you might see in layer panel. there is a blending option applying on text. and when i try to applying new blending option i-e drop shadow or inner shadow to layer shape 5. it will mess with also to text layer.
I cannot stand it when I make a new layer in Illustrator and the color hint becomes yellow. This usually happens on the third new layer into every project. I can go in and manually change it from yellow to the ten plus other colors, but I just want yellow completely out of the list. It's awful to look at, and I think every other color is easier.
By default, dragging with the Direct Selection tool adjusts multiple related segments, letting you quickly transform path shapes. To edit only segments between selected anchor points, reflecting previous Photoshop versions, select Constrain Path Dragging in the options bar.
i made a graphic in Illustrator and exported it to photoshop. When i was finished editing it, i wanted to save it in .png format for best resolution and also save the background transparency. but to my surprise, there was no "Save as.. .png" option! is there an explanation for the same or is it my windows/PS?
I have Toshiba computer, Vista and I can't get 3D to work. I looks like Adobe Creative Cloud might not be compatible. I need 3D to work for my class at college. It keeps telling me OpenGL us disabled. I can't find a solution to enable it.
I got Photoshop CC. But when I tried to make 3D text, I couldn't do it... There was no 3D button/ option. I have Photoshop CS6 Extended, which allows me to create 3D text. I'm hoping I don't have to switch between versions every time I want to make 3D text..Also, one more thing. When I first launched Photoshop CC, it said "Would you like to migrate your presets from Photoshop CS6?" I chose No, What this would do, since I'm not the most experienced Photoshop user.

I ran the Update option once, mainly to get the ACR 8.2 version. It looked like all the files downloaded successfully and that the update process started. Then nothing.
- Clicking Update has no effect. There are absolutely no error messages. - Downloading the ACR 8.2 file and trying to run the AdobePatchInstaller.exe file does nothing. - Removing the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) Cache accomplished nothing. - Trying to run the AAM does nothing.
A popup message just informed me that there are 9 Adobe updates available and to launch AAM. Which, of course, accomplishes nothing.A support person on Live Chat said this is a known issue.I'm running Win7 Pro, SP1, 64-bit, 8Gb RAM, GeForce GT 630 Nvidia chipset graphics card.
i have tried a number of options and files buy cannot get the print options to become available. I cant print tiff files any other way. time is of the essence. windows xp.
I have a PSB file that I created in CS2 (yes I am still using CS2) and it is not giving me the option of printing it. What's more, when I go to Page Setup it gives me the option of choosing custom paper size in the pull-down menu, but doesn't give me the option of telling it what dimensions I want the paper to be.
I have always saved my work (both in CS4 and CS6) as .psd and .pdf. I am working on a new .psd just as I always have but when I try to save it there is no option to save as a .pdf. I created it in CS4 and the option is not there and I have also imported the .psd into CS6 and the option is not their either.
If I make a section with the marquee tool, and then Select > feather 100 px, I get a smooth rectangular gradient. If I use the same Marquee selection, preceded by feathering in the Options Bar, I get an oval selection reflecting the feathering.I observe the feathering by creating a layer mask, or by dragging the selected Layer into another document.
I have been trying to download plugins for the Camera Raw option for Photoshop CS5. It is not working....I get a message that 6.4 is not found and 6.5 not compatible. Where can I get the correct download for Windows 7?
I've decided to take my art to the digital side..I'm using a wacom tablet and I have a few sketches I've started that I would like to ink the lines for that ultra smooth look. However, I'm using elements 8 (cause I'm poor) and there is no pen tool option. I've never downloaded any plugins either so I wouldn't know where to look or how to install them (if its complicated).
I able to add in the 3D tab as a plugin? I've purchased the standard PS CS5 and never got told we had other options, if this can be added in or do I need to pay another k just to upgrade?
I'm running Windows 7 64bit, and I have 2 AMD Radeon 6950's in crossfire. It has only been a couple of months since I used CS6's create 3D extrusion layer, and it used to work fine, but now it's greyed out no matter what type of layer I'm selected on. Photoshop is seeing my graphics card just fine [URL] and even says that 3D is an enabled feature if I mouse-over the Graphics Processor Settings box. I have the latest 12.8 AMD drivers. So, something between Photoshop and my graphics card are no longer playing nice - maybe an AMD Catalyst software setting? Although I've made sure that all my settings were restored back to default. I should also note that all other GPU enhancement features that I'm aware of seem to be working fine (like the quick zoom rendering, etc.)
I just installed this program and for some reason i do not have the 3d tab for 3d effects. i have a Nvidia 650 so it is good enough to run it, i just don't know why it wont. i have installed the latest driver for my card .
I downloaded from Adobe, Photoshop CS6 Extended, but when I start the program, there is no 3D option, and if I go to Help> About Photoshop, it says only Photoshop CS6, not Extended , why? My spec:
I have had a pen pressure tablet for some time now. I have just bought a new PC and even though the tablet is installed and works okay, it is not registering the pressure sensitive function in PS. In the brush menu, under shape dynamics, where the drill down box for selecting the pen pressure option, there is a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it ( it's actually grey but turns yellow when you mouse over it).
Do I have to change some settings in the preferences or 'load' the tablet into PS ? I didn't have to on the last machine; it was "plug and play".
Customer sends me an illustrator file with an embedded image. I need to check the resolution of the image to see see if it is high resolution enough for print. I delete all art but the image in illustrator and then save that file as a pdf with the illustrator default.
I drag that pdf file into photoshop where I get the "Import PDF" dialog box. I know if I select the "Pages" button, then the resolution and color that appears in the dialog box are not the true specifications for the image. I have to select the "Images" button and open the file from there HOWEVER sometimes this option is not available and the "open" button is grayed out. Why this happens on some of the pdf files I've saved from Illustrator.
This is the only way I have found to check resolutions on embedded files where I do not have the actual linked graphic.
On the top of my pscs4 The option for 3d is now missing. It was inbetween View and Filter I thought I only used it once and a month later I wanna use it again and its gone.
The problem is with the Option bar, which is totally unresponsive to mouse clicks. The little instruction box pops up when you put the mouse over one of the Option bar items (click this to blah, blah, blah), but clicking results in nothing. I can't move the bar either. All I can do is uncheck it from Window menu.
Similarly, I can't move the document window by clicking and dragging. Can't close it by clicking on the red X. The window scroll box, though, works.
I am using PSCS2, in WinXP Pro. I use RAW + JPG option in my digital camera. After RAW processing I save my files as TIFF, in case I feel I want to do further post processing in PSCS2. When I am through processing the image in photoshop, I save the completed file as a .jpg file, to save disk space. Today I processed a number of RAW format photos and as usual saved them as .tif files, for further processing in photoshop, if deemed necessary. Today when I was through processing in photoshop, the .jpg extension is not one of the options when I go to Saved As - the only JPEG option is a JPEG2000 format with .jpf extension. why I no longer have the .jpg option, when I am saving the processed .tif file?
