Photoshop :: Tips/tutorials On Blending Image...
Jan 27, 2009Anytime I try to cutout a piece of an image and paste it into another image, the final result always turns out bad. It looks exactly like what it is...a cutout pasted onto another image.
Are there any good tips or tutorials on what to do to an image cutout to make it blend more seamlessly into another image?
Photoshop :: Tips For Cleaning Up A Newspaper Image?
Jan 24, 2009I scanned a color image from a newspaper, so of course it's pretty grainy. I've done things like despeckle, which helped a bit, and some other filters to get rid of noise and such but I was wondering if anyone had any useful tips for improving newspaper images? (i.e., get rid of the grainy look from the high dot content, just make it look cleaner)

Sep 7, 2013I just upgraded to GIMP 2.8.4 for Mac after spending months using an older version. At the bottom of the image window are tips for using whatever tool one is currently using. Unfortunately, these tips are TINY! I can barely see them! Is there any way to increase their size via GIMP preferences?
Note that I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to editing program code so if this is required I will need specific step by step instructions.
EDIT: Additionally, I've noticed that image windows always stay behind the toolbox and layer windows. Is there any way to reverse the ordering? (So that image windows can move in front of the toolbox/layer window?) With multiple image windows open on a small screen I need all the space I can get.
Photoshop :: From 72 To 300 Dpi Retouch
May 21, 2008i need to print a picture to a comercial decal for my car...
the original size is 1200x705 with 72 dpi resolution.
when i change the resolution to 300dpi with bicubic smoother it goes 5000x2937 with .
Is there a way to apply some filters like sharpen or play with the levels to get a better result?
i know that the result will not be perfect but i need some tips to make it look better....tips like sharpen or mess with the levels or anything else that will make the new maximized pic to look more decent!!!
i also bought a wacom tablet and i need to find some video tutorials showing how to paint...(all i could find was recorded videos from within the target window without speech, and i couldnt understand what tools or brushes they were using) is there any tutorial that shows how to draw with steps?like select this kind of brush,then use this tool ,select this color,change to this opacity blah blah blah?

Feb 21, 2013I just completed a project that involved four layers. this was my first attempt at layering and i must say it turned out real nice. After I finished I thought I would go back and do some retouching with the healing brush but I now get a message that "cannot use the healing brush because the target layer is hidden".
From now on I will do my correction and retouching before I add layers.
Anyway to use the healing brush or clone stamp now on the finished (layered) file???

Mar 19, 2013I am trying to retouch two video files in Photoshop CS6 Extended for Mac OS X, and I cannot find the dynamic link media server. I never had this problem before. It says a component is missing.
I downloaded the update to the server and I even re-installed Photoshop Extended CS6. I have the Master Collection. I also have anti-virus software that I have turned off. It still does not work. Can family filters for my family be the cause of the server not being found?

Jun 7, 2004Somewhere out there is a crack PS CS user who can solve an irritating "nose" problem of a photo I shot nearly twenty years ago. It was one of those outtakes I held on to. Now, with the advent of PS I have taken another look at it. Trouble is, as you have already noticed, is that the model's nostrils are not equal in size. The right one is particularly disturbing. I am thinking a complete reshaping of the lower nose is in order. Trouble is, I have racked my brains trying to get the new look acceptable. My master copy is Tiff and 50MB size.
