Since I installed Mac 10.5.8 my PS 7 will not function, and an error message pops up that says it cannot be used. I purchased PSE 10 to update Photoshop and it says there is not enough memory to install it. I figured if I uninstalled PS 7 that should free up enough memory, but don't know the correct way to do it.

I’m trying to install PSE 11 from a downloaded < Adobe_PE11_T1.zip >. Preferring a “clean” installation, first I uninstalled PSE 10 (Windows7 Control Panel / Programs); however, PSE 10’s program folder did not delete. So, I deleted it manually, then ran Adobe’s <adobe_creative_suite_cleaner_tool>, and selected “All.”
Now, unzipping and installing PSE 11 causes the installer to default consistently to "uninstall." I’ve performed cold boots between each step, and repeated the entire process with identical results. How do I "reset" Adobe for a clean installation?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just had my HD drive replaced on my Mac Book Pro ( Using Mt Lion OS) which forced me to reinstall all my programs. I reloaded CS4 without problem getting a message that installation was successful.
However I am having problems with the tool bars. When I click on the one of the default tool in the box it works fine, however if I try to open that tool for more options by clicking on the little black triangle nothings happens either in Photoshop or Illustrator(the two programs I use most) the box won't open up.
The clone and healing tools just stopped working on CS3, Windows XP. I check the obvious like correct layer selected, blend mode, ...
The paint tool works fine.
Drawing contains Xrefs which are either unloaded or unresolved and do not show up in the base drawing.
I am unable to reload but can detach some of them.
When I try to Xref a new file it does not function. Makes no differerence whether its an attachment or an overlay.
How do you convert a read only dwg to a fully functional dwg? I had to force quit AutoCAD when I got the rainbow spinning wheel (on Mac) and now when I reopen, it says it is currently in use and would I like to open the read only version. Meanwhile, I can't save any changes in this version! Am I royally screwed? Is there a way to convert back to normal?

Do you think the file is corrupt? My InDesign works well with all other documents. I have seen this before with some 4 pg documents that have a lot of pictures. Should I be making them as books rather than documents? I've never used the book setting before.

Then I draw the circle I want to be a pie graph, make sure it's selected and choose "Object...Graph...Data" which opens the graph data entry "spreadsheet" but the text box and buttons on the top are greyed out and there are no visible cells. If I move the pointer around inside the window, it does become the "row/column" resize pointer as if there are cells present but disabled.

I had to format my computer due to Windows related troubles and so I reinstalled the OS, installed all of my Adobe software and dropped the files back into their original locations. When I fired up premiere and opened the project, everything was looking fine and dandy until certain clips showed up in red and just didn't work.The only clips that were affected were audio tracks from AVI files that I separated from the video. They are not missing , premiere knows where they are and if I drag one into the timeline it will work just fine.

In optimizing a new assembly I'll often have several iterations where I take an assembly to a point and would like to keep that design intact, yet would like to move on from there with new design features based off that existing design.
Currently this is the way I archive these fully functional design iteration steps that may be created just a few weeks apart.
Open assembly - save as "LinkageDesign-7.iam"
Open each part individually - save as next part # sequence...
In the new assembly then RMB click on each part and replace with new part # sequence that I just saved.
Parts keep all their contraints and are ready for me to start adjusting, all the while having the other version still intact so I can compare directly 2nd iteration with 7th iteration.
A way to do this with fewer clicks? As the larger the assembly the larger the task at completing this.
So i downloaded the trial from the Adobe website and now im having installer issues. I close all my programs like it tells me to, including the Windows Sidebar and RocketDock. But when i install it i keep getting this error, attatched file,

Nothing happens after that, and if I goto the extracted files and try to run setup.exe it says that windows cannot find the specified file, and I might not have sufficient permissions. I am running this under my account with administrator privileges though.

Some of these things we really want installed (Photoshop, CMaps, XMP panels, Type Support and required fonts and color profiles are pretty much the minimal set required for a functional Photoshop installation), but some of these things really have no right to be silently installed. There's a good gigabyte of nonsense that someone who just wants Photoshop has no need for. Denying them the option to deselect these things during installation is a bit evil (whatever happened to the 'advanced' or 'custom' installation option?
unselecting all components indicates that the installation will required 0.0KB on disk. However, selecting Photoshop CS6 x64, which indicates its size is 563MB, results in an installation that requires 677MB on disk. Similar things happen for other components; CMaps is 7.2MB, but when you select it, it suddenly requires 121MB on disk.
I want to control exactly what lands on my disk. So: how do I find out what these secret things are that are not listed after wiping the dependency data so that I can explicitly pick individual components? Which additional steps are required to reveal the hidden dependencies that will apparently still be installed, or aren't factored into the size indication for the various components? how do I make the installer NOT determine that "this is not a genuine installer, you may have a counterfeit product".
I just installed PS3 and with it I also got this application called Adobe Color Common Settings Installer. Does anybody know what it does? I dont want any software (others than ones came with calibrators) to affect my monitor and printer profiles by lurking in the background without my knowledge.

Here are a few things I noticed:
Photoshop is in the registry but won't uninstall because the setup won't run.
The setup is alright and there is no problem or any file missing.
I tried the setup from my friend's CD but it gives the same error of my setup:
