View 4 RepliesI think it'd be so cool to be able to replay your entire undo history of a picture, so you can see and show others how you proceeded on a picture you made. That way, it's never necessary to capture screen video for like 10 hours and stuff..
So first you'd need to add an option to save the undo history (so that you always keep the history from when you started). Then you'd need an option to playback the undo history.
Is there a way to undo without zoom as part of the undo?

I have a problem understanding how undo marks are added to the undo stack. In the code below a fan of lines are draw in a random location. If you run MTest a few times, the AutoCAD Undo command will remove the fans one at a time.
If you run MMulti to draw 10 fans, the AutoCAD Undo command will remove all the fans in a single step.I want to be able to remove the fans one at a time.I thought that a StartTransaction / Commit pair would act as markers for the undo stack, but this isn't working.
Tested on AutoCAD 2010Â VS 2008Â
<CommandMethod("MMult")> _
 Sub testmult()
       Dim i As Integer
       For i = 1 To 10
           Call testdraw()
       Next
 End Sub
[code]....
Still really trying to get used to CS6 and how differently it works...very annoying.

For instance, my display comes up with the vertical ruler starting at -300 and going across left to right to 1600. Of course, the tool bars over lap anything on the right. The horizontal goes from -50. I want it to be, like any other NORMAL screen at 0,0 in the upper left corner. How is this done? It's VERY annoying!
We have Photoshops CS. Whenever we re-sized a photo with the rulers in view, the actual "inches" would be fairly big, ie the photo would be quite big on screen. Something has changed and I must have inadvertently done something and now when the rulers are in view, the actual "inches" size of the image is very small so the photo is small on the screen. How can I get it back to how it was before?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm running CS2, and when i open a document of any type the size of the image isn't accurate. For example: when i open an image of 800x600 pixels and set the magnification to 100%, i should easily be able to see the whole image on my screen, however i can only see a small section of it. To view the whole picture i have to reduce the magnification to 25%.
When i look at the rulers at 100% magnification an inch for example displays as more like 2 inches.
I'm using a 20" monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050 so there shouldn't be a problem viewing these images at 100%
If you zoom the image using shortcuts (ctrl/cmd+ and ctrl/cmd-, the rulers resize with the image. But if you use scrubby zooming they stay with the window and it's only by hitting ctrl/cmd-R twice that they reset correctly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried several times to show rulers and PSCS4 crashes every time. I get a glimpse of the upper left corner of the rulers then it crashes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe scale of the horizontal ruler is slightly larger than the vertical ruler. If I zoom so that the distance between 0 and 1" is 100mm on the horizontal scale, it is 94mm between 0 and 1" on the vertical scale (sorry for the mixed standards). This makes images look compressed vertically on my screen. Portraits make people look more "chunky" than they are. Is this adjustable? I am using a Lacie electron19blueIV CRT with resolution at 1280x1024.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have PS CS5 and adobe says that in order to reset Rulers you need to 'To reset a ruler’s origin to its default value, double-click the upper-left corner of the ruler.'
But when I try that nothing happens. I have tried resetting my workspace as well but still not working.
In CS6 how do you changes rulers to decimal inches

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to turn grids into a layer? I know this can be done with the vanishing point filter but can it be done with normal grids? I ask because grids are very useful but at times get in the way. If I could create a layer of my grids I could then turn them on and off as needed.

I am using Photoshop CS6 on Windows.
I have made around 3 sigs with photoshop. I was just wondering how do you make those grids disappear in different parts like in Ruud's sig?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIve been looking in to grids and the golden section for design. Having had no formal graphic design training i find it very interesting.
I understand that the golden section is a ratio that is naturally aesthetically pleasing to the eye and that it can be found at 68% off a 100% length line. i.e: if you had a 100cm line, 68cms along would be the golden section and design based on this division should be on the way to looking balanced.
Now ive tried applying this to alot of web sites and none seem to adhere to it really. Ive been using this software on a free trial by a company called atrise. Its a resizable grid that floats on other windows, which constantly shows the golden section ratios. As i say not many websites use it as far as i can see.
Ive also been looking in to grid design which is closley tied to typography and, in fact, the design of a grid should be geverned, to some extent, by the size of the text.
What i want to know is, is there any way of combining the golden section rules and grid design. I cant put the two together for some reason. Im looking for someone with a good undrstanding of both to enlighten me!
When you design in 3 dimensions you would place one global perspective grids to guide you. This global grid is the master grid, is the grid (basically the world grid) where all your objects will be place on. I?ve attached an image and orange grid is the master grid.
On top of this master grid I have decided to create two additional grids. These grids will help me in creating two objects. These two grids have different vanishing points, infact all three grids together have its own vanishing points and I?m not sure if this is OK as long there is the master grids.
Taking this a step further I decided to create another grid on top of one of the blue grids and this blue grid now becomes the master grid and the grid on top of this blue-master grid is now the child grid. And you can go on and on like the mirror effect.
When I open a photo, it has a grid overlaying it, so any work I do is difficult to see. Why is this happening?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use a PC and have Illustrator CS4. When I open AI, the rulers do not appear. I have saved my workspace with them showing, but when I open that workspace, they do not appear. I have to go up to View>Show Rulers (or do the shortcut). I know this is extremely minor, but my rulers appear in ID CS4, so I'm wondering why I can't set AI to do that, too. It's like having to plug in your keyboard every day...you just want it to be ready to go when you get ready to work.Â

How can I get back to inches?
When turning on rulers, the default for the X axis is the left.
Â
This is as should be and makes sense.
Â
But why is the default for the Y axis the bottom? Shouldn't be the top? After all, other language versions, etc., aside, we're talking lets say :
Â
Left to right, top to bottom flow of content and sight.
Â
So why on earth would the Y axis start from the bottom and go up?
How do I set the origin for rulers to the bottom left in AI CS6?
