Photoshop :: PDF Creates Text And Images That Are Not Sharp
Jul 15, 2013I know that Photoshop is not the premier pdf creation software. I do have InDesign as well, but I'm much more familiar and comfortable with Photoshop (I have the CC versions of both) so I prefer to use it as my design and layout tool.

However, when I save as a pdf the resultant pdf file is blurry for images and text, not horribly so, but not sharp and clear as I would like. My pdf files are for the web and emailing so I need to keep the file size in check, but even when I up the PS resolution to 300psi it still is not as clear as I would like. Still blurry.

What do you Photoshop experts out there do to produce the sharpest pdf possible? Is it even possible using Photoshop only or do you have to use InDesign or Acrobat Pro to get the clarity and shapness?
Photoshop :: PHOTOMERGE In CS6 Is Not Producing Sharp Images
Oct 23, 2012I am trying to create a panorama using 5 images. I did this 6 months ago using Photoshop CS5 and it produced a nice sharp image like my originals were. Using CS6 it is not sharp at all, to the point of being quite useless. If I can't figure this one out I am just going to go back to CS5.

both panorama's were created from the same 5 images, in the second one I just wanted to make it a bit warmer because the white balance in the first image doesn't accurate reflect the colours that I saw. The second one created in CS6 looks really bad. And are there any solutions besides scrapping CS6 in favour of CS5?

Jul 14, 2005im just getting used to using PS and IR together although ive been using PS for a while and i wanted to know if one of the ways to have a faster loading image was to save it for web and lower its res or to actually create more slices and have the HTML generator create a table to load the image faster?
im trying to get the best load times for a 28.8Kbps modem load (setting the bar low to get best results).
Illustrator :: Keeping Images Sharp When Importing To Photoshop?
May 17, 2012Working with complex vectors is much better in Illustrator than in Photoshop but when I create my vectors in Illustrator and then pull them into Photoshop, they always end up being more blurry than when I work in Photoshop alone.

Aug 16, 2013I have a brand new Macbook Pro with Retina Display and am running CS6, shooting with a Mark III in full resolution raw format. Focus is on in camera but when I open the images in Photoshop, they do not appear super sharp when zoomed in.
Is this a display issue or a program issue or something else? In the past I can usually get the images so sharp that I can see every pore and hair.Â

Photoshop :: Made Images Suddenly Look Very Bad Once Uploaded?
May 19, 2013I have a blog and everything for it (header, banners, etc.) is made in Photoshop and up until yesterday it was all fine. But yesterday I wanted to try to put a scanned picture for my header - which on my computer looks white, but on the web it looked gray, so I decided to go back to what I had.
When I uploaded my old header it now looked blue/gray-ish, very pixelated and really strange. When I tilted my screen (laptop computer) I could see some weird edges around the shapes that I had on that header. I ulso tried uploading to Picasa web albums but the same thing happens.
I tried also making another image in Photoshop to test it out - it was white with big spots in green colour and when uploaded I could see the edges of the entire image even though it was white (it didn't blend with the rest of the background like it used to), and when I tilted my screen I saw pink edges around those big dots and it looked all fuzzy almost like it's moving (like on those very old TV's when you lose an image and it's snowy looking).

Feb 6, 2014Basically I made an animation sequence on Autodesk Maya and rendered the sequence as 2000 jpeg images each representing 1 frame, put it in one folder and on Adobe Premiere imported and dragged the folder into the timeline to make a moving image so in other words my video is made up of hundreds of jpg images.

Now on the editor it all looks HD and fine but when I export it via file > export > media, in order to match the sequence to the screen I must click on 'match sequence settings' which will snap the whole movie into the window rather than have it widescreen and once I do this I can't modify anything else such as codec, etc (codec is automatically set as MPEG -Frame and the output automatically is mpeg), is this normal? Why is it mpeg ajnd not avi...

So once I export the video with these settings (image uploaded) the quality is ok but not as good as what I see in the Premeire editor, why? What can I do to improve the quality?

On the other hand if I don't click on match to sequence settings and personally customise the paramaters such as avi, I use max settings for many things but after exporting my picture quality actually goes worse compared tomatch to sequence settings? (which has less parameters)

Apr 12, 2009If I save a 300 dpi image in PS CS3 as a JPEG it's about 3.5 megs. As a TIFF it's 29 megs. As a PDF print quality it's 11.5 megs. But if I go to InDesign CS3 open a document and import the 3.5 JPEG and then save it as a print quality PDF, the file is about 4 megs. Why is it 11.5 megs in PS with the same settings?

Nov 17, 2008I'm trying to make the edges sharp, when I use the Rectangle tool there is a 1px line on the edges which I think is suppose to blend the image to the background, but I don't want this 1px line, I want the edges to be sharp. How do I switch this off.
Using CS2, and I'm sure this is a default setting because I remember reading something about it in the book but now I can't find it.

Dec 19, 2003Maybe this is something utterly simple that I have totally missed, but I just don't get it. everything I make seems to have a feathered edge... thats bad when I'm trying to make something with an absolutely crisp edge. The attached file shows whats hapening. It only really matters on the level where you can see individual rows of pixels, but that is where I prefer to work.

May 16, 2008tried everything to get sharp thumbnail pictures for my website but to no avail this is what i do :after working in raw (no sharpening) i then put my picture on a grey background size is 1804x2560 then go to image size put in 72 for res and bicubic sharpener it then takes it down to 541x768 then save for web 32.1k jpeg medium and optimised quality 70-90 then upload to web but still not sharp, when you click on the thumbnail to get a bigger picture its sharp. i have also tried save as and put in quality 9 with no success. i had the website designed for me and you cannot load a seperate thumbnail.

I open it in Photoshop and run some filters on it and the size climbs to 16 MB after I save as JPG baseline quality 12.If I again open that jpg (16MB) and apply "unsharp" mask"Â 6 more times and then save as JPG, baseline quality 12, the file size climbs to 20 MB on my mac.

Sometime I do changes and don't have to deal with this box, and other times the box comes up, I have to resave, and file will double in size.

I noticed if I use "Convert To Shape" it outlines the letters exactly the way I want them to look:
