View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out how to export stills at separate points in a video, exporting 1 still with 15 seconds of space between them throughout the whole video file.
What I'm trying to do is to export hundreds of images from a movie but with some space between them.
I tried creating a batch that jumps ahead in the timeline 15 sec, but I cannot figure out how to export a frame at that point and then continue jumping forward 15 sec to do the same again. I want this to automate throughout an entire feature film.
We are shooting a movie on HDV video, editing it in Premiere Pro 2.0, and need to print "production stills" pictures from frames of the video. The problem is, they print as "squished" instead of anamorphic wide screen 16x9, which is how the video is shot. (We have Adobe Production Suite Pro 2)
We export the frame as a .bmp in Premiere Pro 2.0, then open it in Photoshop CS2. We can view it on the computer just fine by using IMAGE | PIXEL ASPECT RATIO | HDV ANAMORPHIC. But, of course, the "Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction is for Preview Purposes Only".
How do we "permanently" correct the Pixel Aspect Ratio so we can print the images in their 16x9 anamorphic ratio?
We also need to de-interlace the pictures.
I'm using Photoshop Elements 8. When I try to capture still photos from video clips, the results are not very satisfactory. Usually the stills are very unclear, not sharp like I want them to be. I have to make many attempts to capture a still before I can get one that's halfway clear. Does it have to be this way? What can I do to get consistently clear stills from video?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a movie from still (stills moving along to music). Stills are good quality. However, when I "play" the movie, the quality of the photos is lost (looks fine when not "playing") and they become blurred or pixelled.

I just started using videostudio prox5 and Im having a hard time figuring out how to do this. Basically I have dvds of football games for minor league football, how do I go about using prox5 to extract certain parts from the dvd that I have? I tried importing from media from the dvd drive and it imports the video but how do I go about extracting parts of the video and save it to my computer so I can go back and create a highlight video of all the extracted clips?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI work in PS CS2, and I would like to know some basic techniques for "cleaning" this jpegs as being extracted from a dvd often look quite fuzzy, so that they look quality enough to print on a larger scale! edit: oh yeah and can someone also redirect to a good tool for capturing stills? I used vlc player so far, but it only gives out png's...probably not the best format.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to insert stills into my project and I keep getting the "file format mismatch" error. I've tried JPG, PNG and even bitmap formats, I've tried different pictures from different cameras/sources and the result is the same every time.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have captured some screenshots for use in a video. In VideoStudio, when the video is paused, the text looks crisp and is easily read. When the video is playing, the text becomes blurry and very hard to read. I have taken the snapshots using the PrintScreen key and pasted the image into Excel where I trimmed them and then used an Add-in called GraphicsExporter to save the images. I have tried saving them as gif, jpg, png, and tiff images and the results are the same. I pull the image into VideoStudio and have it on screen while I narrate. Everything looks great when the image is in the viewing window but when I hit the play button it becomes blurry and some images are unreadable.
Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong? Maybe not using standard cropping margins or some other mechanical practice that I can change?
I am trying out my new cam which can do video in 24p (23.something), and I can edit the clips, all ok. There are just two things I cannot do: Make a still (it's really the 24p material, I used a clip in 60i and stills worked), and changing the time/frame counter to 24 frames. No matter what I do, it will always stay there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm putting together a timelapse movie with about 6K stills. I have them gathered in groups of 600. They're all about 4 megs. I'm taking them into a sequence at 24 fps. Why is my clip coming in at about 6 sec's? Then another group of 600 stills coming in at .04 sec's?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI want to cut two faces out of one picture and place them into another picture onto two different peoplles bodies. I used the extract tool and got them there, used transform to make heads bigger(they distort and get fuzzy) and also the skin tones on the faces are way lighter than the bodies in 2nd picture.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHere's my case, I need to calculate how many colors used in the image and then extract each of them as a new layer(or new file) which means each layer/file contains each distinct color whatever the image is (might be a true color image or 256 colors), this bothers me a lot, how to do it in ps

need to be able to extract the metadata that is displayed in Bridhge and CS from *.pdf and raw files so I can use it in my website to power image selections and various other tasks.
I need the file name and the metadata for each file. Ipresume the data is stored somehow in Bridge -- how can I get it exported into a comma delimited text file?
I downloaded a text, and it needs extraction. could someone tell me where to extract it so i could use it in ps?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm still getting adjusted to PS 7 and I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to the Image > Extract command? Is it still there, but somewhere else or what? I loved that feature in PS 6 and it seemed so quick and easy. I've just used the crop tool in PS 7, but I'm just curious to know if the Extract command is still in PS 7 or not.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an image that I would liked to get the shape from and enlarge to 24" (that is not the full-res image.). I am trying to extract the rings along with the torch, meanwhile making that pattern black and the background white. I can use the magic wand at certain tolerances to get it out, but, like the picture, the edges are not sharp, but pixelated. is there a way I can extract this shape but have very smooth and defined edges, even if the picture does not have them? im trying not to have to zoom in real far and use the lasso to outline the entire thing myself.
I might add that extract edges doesn't work too well on this image
I have that picture and would like to extract both logos and enlarge them. I tried using magic wand but it was hard. Plus a lot of the lines are not very straight.

I have retaken the photo of the charcoal drawing so it is placed on the same paper it was drawn on and have managed to get a reasonable amount of space on the right hand edge but the left hand edge is proving beyond me. As there are so many greys and light greys, it is proving impossible to get a good selection. When I place the logo in my wordpress site it looks awful on the right hand edge.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to extract raw luminance values from raw image files? Actually, a de-Bayerized flat matrix would be ideal but could (? maybe) deal with a 3 layer RGB matrix -- rather like the output from dcraw, only in PS. Preferably without gamma applied.
What I'd like to do: I'd like to use image stacking for exposure accumulation using "summation" but find that highlights blow out readily. Right now the workaround is to let the highlights go and bring them back with HDR from one (or more) of the original frames, but that's seriously clunky. I'd like a "scaled summation" where a luminance-dependent scaling factor is applied in the sum. I don't yet know how to get there from here in PS (there's a megaclunky way involving dcraw, Matlab, and a stacking program ...), but it seems to me that the first step is to get the luminance info.
