I dragged a few psd files in to my emails program attachment window and they were instantly converted into very small jpegs 12k, that looked great!
But then hour later, it didn't work, sign came up saying this layered file not accepted by e mail program, (even though flattened psd file)
So then took psd file and made a jpeg, but coming out at 80 kb and don't look as good.
I have been emailing my pictures for quite some time. I would select a picture right click the mouse and open the picture with Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 Then I would enhance the picture and resize the picture to 950-733 pixels. I would then go to file and put "Save As" when the prompt came up I would put in example bus-1 and hit ok I would go up top and close back to my pictures. When I would write an email and attach the picture I could identify it as bus-1 and it would be resized to 950--733 pixels for emailing. But now when I Save as all of the pictures come up in that file and I cannot find Bus-1. It must have changed and I don't know why.Â

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a contractor that does work for several different companies. When these companies send me their dwg file I have no problem opening them up to edit them, but once I complete my edits and email the file back to them they are telling me that their autocad crashes while trying to open the drawing or the whole computer itself. Most recently I only made a very minor edit to their dwg which was editing two areas of text and still crashes their computer when I send it back. I am using Autocad lt 2013, while they are using autocad 2010. I backsaved the file as well was purged the drawing after I was finished and still no luck. Also I noticed on another job after doing very minor edits, once I saved the new version the file file sized multiplied like ten thousand times its size.Â

but when i open it says something like "can not open, file might be corrupted" the psd is done in CS4 and iam trying to open it in CS6, what can it be?
I've been given a rather large jpg file containing a client's logo. The dimensions are huge - 6299 x 1890. I need to resize the image without losing clarity. What steps must I take to do this? Is Photoshop the best place to handle this task, or is Illustrator a better fit?

Secondly, I see that .ai is Adobe Illustrator- what does this allow someone to do, that they wouldn't be able to do on photoshop.

Im tryin to make a logo for a web site into a vector graphic that i can use with the custom shape tool. I've read at the adobe web site how to do it but there is one catch. When you paste it it says to set it to paste on a new shape layer. I cant seem to make it create a shape layer, only a new one. Can somebody enlighten me?
