View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just started using PS Elements 10 again after not having used it for some time, and I've forgotten a few things. When I paste an image which I've selected from another image (image A) into a layer mask for image B, the image A selection appears in black and white. Also, is there a quick way to return PS Elements 10 to its default settings?
View 5 Replies View RelatedToday i went to copy and then paste an image onto another one,i could not use the copy or paste function(in pse 10). Only the paste function was usable and when i hit it it pasted the picture of an eagle onto the image. This eagle i had copied from a particular website(unrelated to photoshop) amd pasted it to a folder in windows live photo gallery. I tried deleting this eagle from the windows gallery, but still i could paste the eagle onto the other picture. And it created another layer with the picture of the eagle. Also as usual my lassoo tool is malfunctioning in pse 10? Maybe uninstalling and re-installing pse 10 would solve the problem.

I'm learning about layers (slowly...) and I've watched several tutorials. Everything I've seen/heard makes it look easy, but I'm missing something. Been working on this for several evenings with no luck. Using Photoshop Elements 11.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working with Photoshop Elements 11. I have a picture that I want to place into a banner. When I do this I find that the height of the picture is fine but it is not wide enough. BUT to the leftside of the picture the background is such that I can cut it out and use it to fill the space on the left and right sides.

If I knew what the function was called I would have a better chance, but I am the proverbial newbie with any photo manipulation software.

In the right Mouse click drop down window the Paste, Paste as Block and the Paste to Original Coordinates are grayed out.
The copy with Base Point works, as does the Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Shift+V and repeat Paste Block from the recent Input drop down selection. Why the paste commands are grayed out?

quick question, after you have cut an image out of one picture, And pasted it onto another, is there a way to alter the size of the pasted part of the picture?
I figured out you use the move tool to move the pasted part to where you want it but it's to big, i need to make the paste a bit smaller.
I'm new to CS2 been using Elements 5 and decided to make the move into the big stuff. Took several photos, the one I liked the baby's eyes were half closed. I have another photo where his arms moved...blurred; but his eyes are open wide. How do I copy the open eyes and move them onto the closed eye photo? I did it in Elements but want to learn how to do it in CS2.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI created a selection around a face in one photo, then copied it and tried to paste it into another photo, but it won't paste no matter what I try. The photo I'm copying from is only one layer and I have the move tool selected when I copy. I even created a blank document to paste in that is the same size and resolution as the original photo, but it still won't paste into that either.
What could cause this? And how do I get it to paste again?
This is the first time it happend.. ?
