Photoshop Elements :: Can't Save Changes In The Editor
Oct 24, 2013
When I make my changes in the editor then click commit, the screen goes blank and a colored box show up in the background layer. I have used this program for years and this has never occurred. I am not able to save my editing.
After upgrading frm Windows XP to Windows 7, my Elements Organizer - in "Folder Location" mode is not updating with ANY changes frm Editor. I'm checking "include in the Elements Organizer" on SAVE OPTIONS. Changed file names are updating to the physical file. In effect the Editor is NOT Working.
I have tried to save my changes made in the editor of Photoshop elements 12 to the organizer, saved in a version set. Does not seem to save, but can only find it when I click on 'Open recently edicted files in editor'. I have used Photoshop elements 10 and never had this problem
I can save a file as DXF to DWG without opening it in the editor (AutoCAD). when a DWG file is not complicated (see the example code) but would like to be a DXF?
On the other hand in the case of opening a DWG (with no the editor) and store in a last AutoCAD, for example AutoCAD 2000 or AutoCAD 2000 DXF. What should allocate where it says "DwgVersion.".
I just downloaded the Photoshop Editor 11 app from the app store. The installed app is 2.7 gigs! This can't be right, can it? That's more than twice as big as any other app I have.
I put a new material in the material editor. However long later, I save the max file and when I come back to it, the material editor does not have the material I previously created in there.
The get it back I have to 'eyedrop' the mesh to retrieve it.I've not seen this before in any version, and I use the compact material editor.
Is this another bug with this version, or is this a strange new feature added?
I want to use external edit (in my case: Adobe Photoshop Elements) for editing features not available in LR3 (for example: skew) and easily save back as JPG. The source in LR3 is a DNG-image.
LR3 offers easy workflows out-to-external-editor>back-to-LR3 if you save back as TIFF or PSD.
But, I didn't find any easy or not extremely clumsy way to saving the edited photo back as JPG to LR3 and having it organized "close" to the original/source-DNG (preferably stacked).
URL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.
I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)
I have Photoshop CS6 and Elements Premiere 11 and both were showing estimated file sizes properly up until a couple of weeks ago, and both stopped at the same time. Using Image, Mode I have verified on both that the images I am trying to save are 8 bit and not 16 bit images. I am on Window 7, 64bit.
I'm running Windows 8.1 (On a Mac) and just installed Photoshop Elements 12, but the Editor won't open. I already tried holding down the SAC keys to no avail.
I have PSE 7 and Windows Vista. Whenever I try to use the PSE editor I receive the following error message: "Adobe Photoshop Elements (Editor) has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you is a solution is available." I have never received notification of a solution. Does PSE have compatibility issues with PSE 7?
On start up of the program where it gives you the option to organize or edit, edit usually launches the editor and I can work in it. It brings up the load bar but then just goes away and I'm still at the same start up. Nothing has changed on my computer that I know of, I'm the only user.
I had to reboot my computer to factory settings and installed El 7 several times and editor will not open. Error message elements editor has stoped working. I have installed it in my sons computer and no problem.
I have a Dell that runs on Windows 7. I recently received a bamboo pad for christmas. BIG PROBLEM..I was able to install the programs that came on the bundle successfully. However, when i click on the PSE shortcut on my desktop it opens the welcome screen. When i click on Organizer it opens just fine. However, when i click to open the editor it seems to appear as if it is going to launch and then nothing happens. The editor never opens.
Just received a new PC w/ PSE 11 pre-installed. OS is Windows 8. Was editing a photo in LR 4 and wanted to go into PSE 11 Editor to do more editing. When I tried to open PSE editor, Adobe required product registration, which I did. LR created a duplicate TIFF file and everything, and the window popped up asking if I wanted to Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments, etc., and then PSE 11 Editor opened up fine the very first time. (However it didn't seem like some of the tools were working properly, but that's another question for another time.) Subsequent attempts to open the PSE Editor either from Elements itself and LR4 have failed. Editor will not open.
When I'm in the editor and trying to use one of the tools like quick fix, the edit shuts down and reverts back to the organizer screen as soon as I click on that tool. It does not happen all the time but quite often
I have Photoshop Elements 7. The organizer, create and share tabs work fine but when I try to open any 3 of the editor modes I get the error message: Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I tried restarting my computer, but it didn't work.
Apologies if this has been dealt with before but a quick search hasn't revealed anything. Downloaded Elements 10 Editor from the Apple App Store and have been using it without problems.
Have just updated my EOS5 to an EOS5D Mk.III, downloaded the latest RAW Plug-in but I keep getting an error message saying this update is "not for me". The work around is to covert files to dng and then open but this creates lots more files. So in a nutshell how do I update the RAW converter?
Is there a way to get the organizer that comes with Adobe Premiere Elements 11 (Mac) with Photoshop Elements 11 Editor (Mac)?
I previously downloaded Elements 11 Editor from Mac iTunes Store, this version does not come with Organizer. I then found I had a copy of organizer with Premiere Elements 11. After install I can use both products fine, but cannot use edior to edit my photos from the Organizer. The message "the feature you selected requires adobe photoshop elements" appears.
PSE 9 crashes when entering the editor, returning a note about 'error 1 - need to re-install PSE 9' which unfortunately I can't do because it rolls-back the attempt to uninstall. There must be something blocking the uninstall required before it will re-install the product. Still trying some ideas like installing on another drive on the computer, but to no avail.
I have always used Elements 10 to convert RAW files to jpg by opening the RAW file in the editor, making changes, and then choosing Open Image tab, and then choosing jpg format in the drop down box to save it. For some reason it is no longer an option, I have not changed any settings.
Elements 9 - Editor won't open. No problem with organizer, but editor won't open from welcome screen or from within organizer, Checked hard drive and Organizer is listed, but Editor is nowhere to be seen.
When I right click on an image in Windows Explorer or Adobe Bridge, then click on "open with", in the list of image viewers and programs, Photoshop Elements is not listed. When I browse to the PE11 .exe file to select it, nothing happens. How can I set PE11 to be the default photo editing program?
