View 2 Replies2008 MacBoo Pro with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 512 MB graphics card tried running Photoshop CS6 under Mac OS X 10.7.4?
On my MacBook Pro, PS CS6 launches; however, any action results in an out of memory error. The CS6 versions of After Effects, Premiere Pro and Illustrator all launch and run as expected under 10.7.4.
If I switch to my Mac OS X 10.6.8 startup volume, Photoshop CS6 runs as expected. I have support cases open with Adobe, NVidia and Apple. Adobe thinks I need to update the display drivers. NVidia says display drivers must be provided by Apple. Apple says that the display drivers are current. The Apple support agent said that he can escalate the case if the issue can be reproduced on more than one computer.
I'd love to keep my MacBook Pro running another year or so without having to reboot in 10.6.8 every time I need to use Photoshop. I'd stay with 10.6.8, but of course iCloud requires 10.7.4. I have not tried Mac OS X 10.8 yet, but it's on my troubleshooting list.
Also, PS CS6 runs fine under Mac OS X 10.7.4 on my 2010 iMac.
I was trying to save a custom stereogram that is approximately 36" x 24" at 300dpi out of Stereogram Generator, the software I use to compile my stereogram images.
Normally I save to PNG but I kept getting Out of Memory errors.
I finally decided to try another file format and picked Photoshop PSD. Not only did the image save, it saved almost instantly even though the file size is 191 MB! I was able to save one PNG version but it took about 30 seconds and the file size was about 51 MB.Does the PNG format because of its file compression method require more system memory to compress the image?
I have just installed Illustrator 9.0, running on Windows 7. The install was fine but when I try to launch the program I receive the following 2 errors:
1) "Pencil or smooth tool out of memory. Try editing at a smaller zoom magnification".I click OK because that's the only option. The next error window occurs with:
2) "The filter cannot complete because of an unknown error" Error: IMEM.I click ok again because that's the only option.
Then the program crashes and I have to exit.
I have been using Auto-Analyzer for many years [close to 16,000] mostly with images taken with the Nikon D80 DX Format JPEG's. I recently started using the Nikon D800 FX Format JPEG's and the Auto-Analyzer just skips all the FX Images and I get an error message that these images cannot be analyzed because of potential errors. They all have thumbnails and can be edited - I would just like to use this feature to detect blur and advise on light/dark issues.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 4.0, and am getting started moving around and playing with the program.
I have compiled and saved a slideshow with audio, and am pleased with the outcome, HOWEVER........when I try to record it to a DVD it won't allow it (says wrong media) and will only let me record to a CD-R. (Yes....it's a DVD recorder) Afterwards, the CD-R won't play on my DVD player.
I received a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 with a Epson Scanner. I want to make a basic DVD slide show (interactive) that can be viewed on a TV. I do not need audio or any other options.
The program said I would have to upgrade to Adobe Premier Element to do that, but when I checked the specs on Adobe Premier Elements 11, It did not give any indication that I could do that.Everything appeared to be for video and adding a multitude of options (that I do not want or need). What do I need to make a basic DVD slide show for TV?

I want Photoshop Elements 11 to recognise the Card Reader so I can import the images.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 5.0, but not Premiere Elements. I'm creating a slide show of 415 photos, and I added a soundtrack with about 10 music tracks. All the music tracks have been copied from music CDs. It works fine in Preview mode; but when I save it as a .pdf file, it won't play back with the entire soundtrack. The sound stops after about 2 tracks, and I get an error message. The error message reads:
Warning: Java Script writer
Acrobat has encountered an error while playing this media clip.
It doesn't appear to be a file size problem. I've tried saving it as a medium size file, instead of a large file, but I still get the same error message when I open the saved file. (The large file is 170 MB; the medium file is 134 MB.) Also, there doesn't seem to be a problem, if I only include 2 music tracks.
Does Elements 5.0 support this kind of soundtrack? Will it work if I get Premiere Elements 3.0? Or do I need to get Elements 6.0 and Premiere Elements 4.0?
After creating a slide show in Photoshop elements 12, I saved it in PDF form. When I let it run, Pictures only come on full screen. I can navigate slides with keyboard forward and back, but not stop or freeze a picture. Is there any Key or combination for "Pause" ? Is the show controlled by Windows (Vista) or by Acrobat Reader or even by Photoshop?
