How can I stop this?
Working in AutoCAD™ 2012... Is there a way to "erase" an entity, line, etc. by selecting it and having it immediately disappear? I work in 3D/DXB files a lot and it really useful when working with an audience either for on-screen seminars or over-the-shoulder.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to Photoshop CS5.1 and I've encountered that the pen tool will only let me fill in one path at a time. Older versions of Photoshop would fill in all the paths at the same time so I don't see why the pen tool would be capable of doing that in a newer version.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi cant resize my pen tool path and fill shape at the same time, it just changes the size of the path and leaves the fill separate and unchanged.

I select the erase tool and click and drag across the part of an elipse that I want to get rid of (so far so good), then I release the mouse and an outline of the nib tool is left behind.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI took a time lapse of 240 photos of the highway below. What I want to do is create a background plate where all the cars are erased from the shot. The steps I've been doing are:
Open photos A & B in Photoshop (I'm using CS6)Drag photo B's background layer into A as a new layer and line up with A using 50% opacity and eyeballing it (is there an easier way to do this? the photos need to match exactly)Start erasing in obvious areas from layer BMerge Layers when there's nothing else to erase Repeat 1-4 with a new photo.
I don't think I'm doing this right though, because the baseline photo always has cars I can't erase. I can do the reverse, and take photo A into another B photo, but it just feels like the way I'm doing this is wrong.
Is there a cleaner, more precise way to do this? If I've added a layer with no cars on top of the background layer, shouldn't I be able to erase the cars from the background layer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile making the background of an image of my son transparent, I realized a couple of days later that I made part of his hand transparent. Is there any way I can make his hand NOT transparent?
I don't believe there is, since the image data is lost, and I had to delete all the layers except for one, to reduce the file size.
Every single time I activate the Adjustment Brush, Mask, and Filter tools, they activate with the "Iris Enhance" preset active. So when I start editing the first thing I have to do is reset the tools to zero every. single. time. Yes a double-click isn't that big a deal, but LR4 did not do this. I have not changed any settings since going to LR5 and I can't stand this issue anymore. When I use these tools, the adjustments I'm making are highlights, shadows, noise, clarity, etc. Individual sliders. So why does "Iris Enhance" keep turning on when never even touch the effects? In LR4, after finishing an edit with a brush, mask, etc., I would press the Enter key and it would switch to a "new" brush/mask. At that point, the Effect would automatically switch back to Default. How can I make LR5 do this? I want it to jump back to default slider settings after every time I press Enter.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI followed the directions in guided mode in "recompose" to protect/remove. All I get is the little cross hair curser. Is there suppose to be a virtual "brush" like the directions speak about? I am using the supposedly "fully functional trial" version of Photoshop elements 11.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaed the Premier Pro CC 30 day trial. I edited some nice video and was strongly considering adding this to my Photoshop/Lightroom subscription. However, warp stabilzer has not worked once for me. Even on clips as short as 6 seconds.
What happens is that when I drag "warp stabilzer" over a clip it analyzes the clip showing a blue banner stating "step 1 analyzing". Then after a short wait an orange banner appears and states "Stabilizing". Thats when the process stops. It stays locked in that orange banner stabilzing position permanently. I waited 3 hours for a 6 second clip and it still said "stabilizing".
Obviously something is drastically wrong. Had it not been for that I would have probably signed up for a subscription to Premium Pro CC.
I'm on a Windows 7 Pro, i7, 12 gigs of ram setup. Seperate scratch disk used also. Everything else on Premium Pro CC seems to work fine. I don't understand why warp stabilizer doesn't.
I have one large assembly for hose routing it consists of around 1000 hoses all hoses are coming in main assembly but delivery date is very short. My plan is work on same assembly 5 people how it works?
One idea is like working in sub assemblies but in my case only one assembly consist of all hoses.
How to work multiple users in single assembly file at same time. like in solid works enable collabarative mode.
Erase tool is leaving dots, not straight line.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to use the magic wand tool to erase things from a picture the program says there is a problem either look online for a solution or close the program and I choose to look online but it just closes the program down completely. I had not been having any trouble at all and it just immediately started doing this and I had been using the very same tools as I am trying to use now. I am extremely frustrated and I even deactivated the program, uninstalled it, and then reinstalled thinking this would fix it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to have more than one text placement inside of a single layer, but be able to maintain and move each of those separately from the others? From what I have seen, each new Text item gets its own new layer. If I want to document an image with seven points of reference, it's absolutely crazy that I have to maintain seven layers, each with an integer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. What would be much more maintainable is to create ONE layer and name it "MAP-NUMBERS" and then have seven integers placed into that one layer. I would then want to be able to move - say - "2" around separately from "4". Then making all of the numbers appear or disappear becomes as easy as hiding or showing one layer.
Is there a way to do this with any version of Photoshop?
When placing photos in the web for sale and to avoid having these "stolen" what is the best pixel size AND for showing images of varying size (some heavily cropped) on a large classroom screen without looking like a pratt what would be the optimal pixel size
Next I'll have to find out where in Photoshop ELements I can do this as Ive only just downloaded the trial.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 10 on a windows 8.1 computer. Pixel dimension is grayed out and unavailable to me. I cannot uncheck "Constrain proportions," and have no way to change the size of photos. If I change the dimensions, the resolution changes in proportion. I am perplexed and at a standstill since this is a critical function.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to crop image width from e.g. 1234px to 1230px. I select Crop from the menu, then enter 1230px for the width. PE then shows a marquee that is bigger than the image! I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't tell what.
I'm running it on WIndows 8.0 x64, which has some other problems, so maybe I should just upgrade to 12?
I have two art objects on two layers. I want to match to the pixel the two objects that otherwise could be exactly the same but one layered object was imported slightly smaller.
The scale tool has good scale handling, I just want to measure the tool spots to the pixel to gain an exact scale size factor and match sizes.
It blows my mind that somthing this simple isnt all that simple. I used the eyedropper tool to slect a color from another photo, then used the brush while fully magnified to change the color of each pixel.
It was coming out a weird greyish color, and I noticed that if I clicked more than once, it got darker, but so did the pixels directly around the one i was editing. So, i copied both pictures, loaded them into paint, and went to town.
It worked, but then when i copied it back into photoshop, it had a black background (there was no background in the original pictures) around the sprite I was editing. I tried to use the magic wand tool to get rid of it, but it took parts of the sprite with it, so...
Is there any way that I can edit the color of a single pixel (or hell, even a group of pixels if they share the same exact color would be nice...preferred, even) accurately? If not, what program could I use that would keep the transparent background?
I am trying to crop or resize an image that is originally 2,122 x 1,415 px | 7.1 x 4.7 in | 300 dpi. I am to crop/resize image to fit 756 x 275 px. However, I don't want to lose the whole image. I would like to use the whole image just adjust it to the dimensions.
How can I accomplish this without creating any distortion or by removing elements by cropping the image?
