If you have read my previous topic on my 'jzrith' account, then you may all know that I'm just starting out as an amateur and unprofessional graphic designer. However, I've met a band who is looking for a banner for their site, and they don't have much money, so in exchange for money, I asked for publicity and some shout outs from them when they get the chance to give some away.
They're looking for a banner that probably most people pay for it to do. They want a banner that has the size of a sig. They want their band picture in the background, and the animation of a blue guitar smashing into something, and that smashing ripples a quake, and that quake ripples letters from something and it turns into the letters 'one last trip'.
Their request was very vague, and my photoshop is limited. However, I took the request upon thinking some one here will help me generate this banner for the band. It will give me good publicity for my skills, but I also need help in making this.
What I'm really thinking hard of doing is the smashing of the blue guitar and that generates a 'quake' and the quake smashes into something that turns into the band's name's letters. I have no idea on how to do it because I have only some experience in Adobe Imageready. I'm not even sure if I need Imageready for this, but Macromedia Flash!
Is there a way to make the letters overlap each other? I basically just want the outer glow effect to be around each letter individually instead of the word/sentence as a whole. The previous letter overlapping the following..
I designed my wedding invitations using photoshop CS3. They came out great. However, when I want to print them the lettering comes out blurry. And if I save as a PDF the lettering comes out really crisp but, some of the letters lose their color ....
replacing a letter. I've got this image and i would like to place H instead of K. But when I open it, i'm not able to do anything because it is kind of protected.
I have been using CS2, and when I use the color picker to choose a color, the hex number is in lowercase. i.e # 00ccff, but in CS and 7 if you were to choose a color everything would be in caps. i.e. # 00CCFF,
I am working on this, and I typed this arabic word in photoshop, normally with other fonts i have no problem typing, I don't normally have this problem with any other fonts, but with this one, everytime I try and type,
The one on top is normal, the one on bottom I tried messing with the horizontal spacing but it just shows a white space where they are supposed to connect. Any help would he really appreciated. Also, This is the first time this happened with me, so I don't think I need the ME version because I do this all the time, just with different fonts,
Im using cs5.5 and need to print something 4' x 8'. Its mostly letters as well, but the problem is that the letters get really pixelated when I make them really big.
If you look at my website, [URL] ... you'll see that the title in the header is kind of fuzzy around the edges of the letters. I created it in Photoshop, and I cannot seem to get the edge's sharp and clear no matter what I do in Photoshop. It also doesn't seem to make any difference if I save it as a .PNG or a .jpg. I have tried re-doing it from scratch several times, and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I've created other header titles in Photoshop that have come out clear and sharp and I haven't done anything any differently.
I am fairly new to Photoshop and am using CS2. When I use a web header with white letters on a red background, it appears that the red has bled into the white letters. It doesn't make any difference in I save the file as a gif or jpeg. This takes place even when the file is saved at 100% quality.
I don't know if I am in the right forum, but I have a title...want to angle each letter in it (45 degrees, then 135 degrees, then 45 again..etc.) staggered. How the heck do I do that?
hi, i'm working on a project and the client would like to have a logo that has light that is shining through the letter forms. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how i could go by doing this. i tried using the lighting effects in the render but it still doesn't have the effect of light that is passing through the type.
I've always been stumped with how to do this so thought I'd post it here. I've typed up some text and then rasterized it. Then I created a blank layer above it, highlighted the text below, then made the blank layer active and painted a shiny gleam over on the layer. See below:
However, when I move the gleam layer, it doesn't just float over and within the letters below it. I obviously know why and that's because the gleam layer is above the text layer:
So basically what I want to be able to do is when move that gleam layer, I want the gleam to float over the logo but stay within the letters so it looks like the logo has a shine over it. If I knew how to do this, I could create animated GIFs and even export the files into Premiere or whatever.
I was trying to design a birthday invite the other day and all of my fonts are only typing in capital letters. The caps lock is not on and i tried messing with the button on my keyboard thinking maybe it was sticking but this problem is only happening in Photoshop. How did my fonts become all caps locked and how can i fix it?
Although i bought CS^ Middle East Edition it doesnt write arabic correctly letters are not connected, even if i change fonts i had a friend sent me an arabic words and when i opened his file it open correctly in my photoshop and i can edit it, also when i copy his text on my file its correct while mine at same file doesnt show correctly where letters are separated how can i correct this ?
I am designing a logo and the logo needs the two letters to be "stuck" together or merge together somehow. Is there anyway you could explain to me how to do this?
