Mar 29, 2006how do I add height (say 200px) to an image without distorting what I already have on the canvas? Whenever I add an additional 200px, everything stretches. How can I just add 200px of extra white/blank space to the canvas?

Aug 3, 2013I'm trying to export an image of a certain width and height but when I click on export, the size doesn't remain the same. I try to change it back to the normal size but it's impossible as one number gets altered if I change the other.
I have tried with the "maintain aspect ratio" option checked and also unchecked. This has never happened before, I've always been able to export with the exact size I want, although very often I find the width and height change when I click on export but I have been able to change it back until now.

Logos have different dimensions, but I fail recovering them, so that they are displayed stretched or squeezed, retaining the width and height of the first 15 logos put on stage in the Edge source.
Both of the two console.log in the following code produce w= 0 h = 0 :

GIMP :: Image Size (width 3072 And Height 2048 Pixels)
Oct 4, 2013I need to have a pic finish at (width-3072 and height- 2048 pixels). When I click on file>new I put in those dimensions, but when I am done with pic and I export it, the picture shrinks to very small. The only way around this is to maximize the image in Gimp to 100% and use my snipping tool to outline the image, then "save as". This will save it large, but not the size I need.
My brothers and I took some pics and I added a couple things in one of mine, to try to fake them out. If the size of THAT image is way different than the rest, the fake out will not work. I normally use Faststone to re-size my images but it will not re-size my Gimp images.

Say I need a layer to be a maximum of 1000px high OR a maximum of 2000px wide, whichever comes first. I need the layers to either increase or decrease in size to fit the "frame".

Oct 27, 2012In PS5, if I start with a picture 5184 x 3456, I could crop a picture to be 2100 by 1500 by setting these parameters in the crop tool. No matter whether I decided to make a big crop or a small crop, my final image was always 2100 x 1500.
In PS6, however, I don't think the crop tool parameters work the same way. If I set the crop parameters to 2100 by 1500, my final crop is NOT 2100 by 1500, but rather my final crop is whatever original pixels I selected.
What is the EASIEST way to accomplish a final crop of 2100 x 1500 on PS6?

Photoshop :: Batch Resize With MAXIMUM Width/Height
Mar 4, 2006I am creating a photo gallery for the web. I will store the very large original images, a large version to fit in the browser window and a thumbnail.
I am creating these using Photoshop Actions and a batch process.
The problem is for the large images I want the maximum width of the images to be 575px and the maximum height to be 525px.
This means that if the image is portrait it will be sized based on its height, but if it is landscape it will be resized based on its width. (I want to resize it proportionally obviously).
Can I make it do this in photoshop?
At the moment some images are either coming out too long or too tall.

I am having is that if the original image is smaller than what I want the large images to be then I dont want it to make it bigger.

Justin, the instructor, calls the little box that immediately shows width/height a "width and height box" but searching on that term is not productive. When I run the program the device is not available, not does the video explain what option makes it available or what might have changed on my particular copy to obscure or disable the box. While I know I can get the same effect by choosing the Info window, and can even adjust the parameters more precisely using the control panel bar, I would like to have the convenience of this box.
I note that in the same video series (from Lynda.com) the same type of display device is shown when the instructor resizes a graphic. After some 30 minutes of Google searches and searching for the identity of this device and how to enable it I come up empty..
