Photoshop :: Create Rolling Landscape Effect?

I want to create a hole on a golf course and need to be able to add some gentle rolling effects to the fairway layer so it doesn't look flat. Can PS6 do this? I do not currently have CS6 extended but could get it if needed. I was thinking maybe some kind of wire frame and then it could generate some hightlights and shadows based on that frame?
I know nothing about 3d but from what I do know that is what came to mind. Right now I'm doing it with the burn and dodge tools and other similar methods but it's time consuming.

I need to reproduce wavy contour (blueprint) lines which will follow the undulating landscape on a lot of images I have. As per the attachment, they almost have a neon glow and are in a grid format. I can do a grid but adding the wave filter doesn't allow me to adapt it to suit the pic.

adobe photoshop: how do i create cutting lines in adobe photoshop if my document is landscape 8.5 by 11 inches and the image are two side by side 5 by 7 in (so appearing 10 inches wides, 7 inch height)... so basically this leaves a 0.5 border top/bottom/left right...
i need corner crop marks and a little line in the middle top and bottom (in the crop area) to designate where to cut the 10 inches into 2, creating my two 5 by 7 inches for each image... my guidlines are perfectly aligned, i just need to know how to make cut lines out of my guidelines except in the middle

i would love to be able to create a single photoshop action for adding a border, plus a signature in the bottom right corner, that works for both portrait and landscape images.
need i say more?
i already have an action that adds a signature in the centre of the border at the bottom of the image e.g. the image below. what i want though is for that signature to be on the RHS and for the same action to work for portrait images as well.
supplementary info: reason for this is that I want to be able to export 300 wedding images (mix of landscape and portrait images) from lightroom in my pre-selected order (meaning the files are labelled from 001 to 300, ordered according to how the wedding day unfolded) and then use PS to add the border and the signature, in the same place, and for it to work for both orientations.
i need this to work for full sized exported jpeg images, i.e. i want the files that i give on CD to my clients to include my signature in this manner. so I don't want to copy the initial layer and then reduce the second layer size to leave a border around the second layer.
i hope i've been clear I think that this sort of presentation makes such a difference to final printed image, and I DONT want to have to go to all 300 images picking out the landscape from portrait ones (although this may be what I have to do and wouldn't really take that long but surely there's a better way!!!!).

I have a ton of icons 100x100 and I made a droplet to import them into a document as separate layers and make them 125X125. I now need to make all of the images look like they are falling out of a hole, like confetti squares. is there a way I can make each image/layer look like it is falling, randomly ( I don't want each image to have the same perspective.) I'd figure it would have something to do with transform>skew or perspective.

I need some direction. I know what I want to do but can't find the right tools in the photoshop toolbox to accomplish the task. I want to create a top down view of a single green LED. I want it to have the illusion of a rounded dome and some sort of highlight like the room light was bouncing from a point in the rounded surface. I've played around with the ellipse tool to create the green circle and several attempts using the blend modes, bevel emboss and inner glow. Nothing seems to come close to what I want.

An interesting problem for all you inventor users.I have a design where a tube/pipe requires a series of holes at a specific dia and triangular pitch is required to be modeled.
If one can imagine a flat piece of sheet steel ie standard perforated sheet which is then rolled to form a pipe/tube to a specific dia then this is what is required.
Is it possible to model this in inventor say as a flat sheet with given thickness and a specific no of holes at a given pitch, this then to be rolled,obviously the development of the sheet to be correct for the pipe od.ie 3.142 x dia.
Is there a function in inventor to enable this,the alternative being a very long winded method of modeling the pipe and then adding holes.

I am new in using sheet metal.So far i am able to form a cylinder made out of sheet metal and i am able to unfold it.The only problem is i want the two ends of the flat sheet to overlap so that it can be bolted together like a lap joint orientation. I'm designing a wrap for a hummer. My client wants it to look like the hummer has a force field and show a few bullets hitting the truck and causing a ripple. I googled this and found out that the "zig zag" filter under "distort" does this. Only problem is, this option is greyed out on my comp. It could be that my project file is half a gigabite (required for the size of printing on the truck).
