I am trying to help an organization convert lotssss of .jpg pictures that have been created by PhotoShop into a smaller resolution size. Can I receive a suggestion as to how this can be done pragmatically?

I have created vector art in Illustrator 5.5 that is exported as a PNG file at 96 dpi. When we open the PNG file in Photoshop, the image size is larger in Photoshop than it is in Illustrator. Width was 232.8 px on Illustrator document and 233 on Photoshop document. Height was 181.4 px on Illustrator document and 183 on the Photoshop document. If I export as a 72 dpi PNG file then the size does not change. How can I export the image at 96 dpi without changing the size of the image?
I have a collection of 50 or so scanned images of old posters, with yellowed backgrounds. I want to put these images on the backs of business cards. The aspect ratio of the cards is not the same as that of the posters. I don't want to crop the posters to fit the cards. What I'd like to do is expand the margins of the image on two sides so that the dimensions match that of the cards. It would be relatively simple to just expand these images with white background, although still a bit of a job to do it 50 times. However, I'd really like to grab the yellowed margin of each poster and expand it out in some way. So I see two tasks that might be somewhat challenging. First, figure out where the margins are. I assume there is some kind of edge detection that could be used to find the break between the "formerly white" part and the printed image part of the poster. Then the other tricky part is creating a new image that is similar enough to this yellowed margin texture that I could add it along these two edges without having an ugly seam visible.
Is it feasible to automate it so it can be applied 50 times?
I developed a plugin, which changes exif information of the image (using a third party program). Is there a way to inform Lightroom programatically to refresh image metadata? Right now I have to right-click on the folder and choose "Synchronize Folder...".
I am a  C# developer and  not  very familiar with coreldraw(when using with c#). My problem is that i am programmatically importing image on a curve using the following C# code.

Now when i run this code the image gets placed into the curve bit it gets stretched vertically means the face of  a student(that comes from imagepath) get stretched  vertically..When i do this Manually with scaling and sizing ratio locked it gets properly inserted in curve....
I have a few files that I need to make ASAP into banners that are 19ft x 15ft and many other sizes. I can only change into a RAW Photoshop or a tiff. I tried saving into a tiff then converting but nothing is working.  I was also going to try to convert into a AI program then into a vector but with no luck.Â
I am trying to create some images in PS2 that have to be 3.5 to 4.0 mb. When viewing the Image Size screen, I might see an image size of 9.6 mb. However, when I save the image and run my mouse over the image in Bridge, it shows a size between 2 to 3 mb. I can't figure out why this discrepancy, or what math I need to do in order to figure out how to create the required image size other than by trial and error.
I have CS5.1 on a Macbook Pro.I have an incredibly frustrating problem.   I've seen similar questions, but not an answer that has resolved this for me. I have an image I have sized to fit an 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Canvas and image size all indicate my image is sized at 7.33 x 11 inches. It is at 300 dpi. Print size view indicates full space is utilized on either side….BUT…  When I go to print, I click "scale to fit media" (which is an 8.5 x 11 paper sitting in printer) image prints smaller with a bar on one side. . When I uncheck STFM, I get: scale - 92.67%,
I have a created a new PSD that is 8 1/2 x 11.The canvas size is the same 8 1/2 x 11.I want to put a border around the picture (say 1/2 of an inch all around), and put the finished picture in a Picture frame. After it is in the frame, you would be able to see the entire picture plus the border. Q. Should I change (reduce image size) of the PSD to (for this example), 8 x 10 1/2.     Then increase the canvas size to 8 1/2 x 11. After I increased the canvas size, do a Paint Bucket fill with white (to create the White border)? then print the changed size PSD on 8 1/2 x 11 paper so that it will fit into a 8 1/2 x 11 picture frame I realize I could have just created the new PSD to be 8 x 10 1/2 in the first place.
 When I save a file to jpeg the image size in photoshop remains the same as it was as a tiff file BUT according to the information that comes up in windows properties the file is much smaller (300k vs 2.9mg).  Can you advise me which is the correct file size?  If the correct size is the one showing in windows (300K) does mean that the file compressed in JPG and lost a lot of information?
 and if this is the case how can I prevent that from happening and still save the file as a JPG?  [ I would like the image to remain the size photoshop shows it to be] . Thank you very much.
can a watermark stay the same size even when an image size is altered? say if its text and it gets too big when i enlarge the image how do i shrink the watermark ? when it is already merged and flattened as one picture without a separate layer.
such as a php or java script to keep the watermark distinct in a way even in a flattened pic or to select the watermark to erase it and re-apply it in the right font size back onto the resized pic?

I am having trouble with Image/Resize/Image Size in PSE7. In the past I had a document size of 4x6. When I wanted to reduce the # of pixels, I just entered new #s and the document size remained the same. A couple days ago I changed both the document size and canvas size. I cannot get my old settings back. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program, I also have PSE11 on a trial basis and it also only sees the changed settings. I've tried changing Scale Styles, Constrain Proportions & Resample Image, in addition to changing the Canvas Size but cannot get it to work like it did before I changed the settings.
I have a folder of 50 images. The images are all different sizes and dimensions (ranging from about 400x600 to 1600x900).
Separately, I have a little design on a canvas in HD dimensions (1920x1080).
The end goal is just to be able to lay out all the photos on the center of the canvas as 50 new individual images (with the HD dimensions of the background canvas).
Obviously, to load in 50 unique images and then export each of them would take a long time. So I was hoping that there is a way to both (a) automatically combine multiple unique images to a common background, and then (b) export them all.
I edit an mp4 video and produce a new mp4 video. If I produce the new mp4 while I open the project, the screen size is normal. (c_not_use_batch.jpg) If I produce the new file using batch convert, the screen size is reduced (c_use_batch.jpg) However, the setting for producing the files are the same (c_setting.jpg)
The files and settings are the same. The only difference is using batch convert or not.
What's the easiest way to convert an image from PNG to JPG ? Â I've created an action for that (see attached image), but I'm not able to save the JPG version in the same directory as the original image.
I've been asked to convert an image to a BMP, but I don't see BMP in the "save as" menu. I mucked about foundthat I can go Image>Mode>Grayscale then Image>Mode>Bitmap, however I need the image to remain in spot-bluecolour. I sent the person a JPG and TIFF of the file but they insist it has to be a bitmap image. In case this helps the image is simply a company name in Times New Roman font in blue with a white background.
I go through a lot of sketch stages to get to a final picture, and I sometimes print on legal paper. My Brother printer does fine at that with Apple Pages, MSWord, Acrobat, and Illustrator, but with Photoshop there's a problem. I set up a legal-size image in PS, go through all the settings I can find for printing to a non-letter-format sheet, hit print, and what I get is a letter-size patch of image on a legal-size sheet. Clearly, either I am missing something or PS is missing something.
i got an icon from the internet which is png,i open it in ps and its in rgb colour mode of course.but i change the colour mode to cmyk and save it when i imported into indesign,in the link info,it says its rgb again!why isn't it appearing in the colour space as cmyk?
getting the best results when creating 3D images in Photoshop. I've been experimenting in the creation of 3D images using a 2D source using Photoshop CS5. The output is intended to be a lenticular print.
[URL] Â I've achieved some good results by converting my single 2D image into multiple layers, creating 3D postcards and adjusting the parallax and focal plane. This gives a good illusion of depth in the image, but (in my experience at least) I can't get a layer to look like it's popping out of the screen. Â I've also tried using a single image and creating a depth map from a greyscale image. This does work to make it look like the image pops out of the screen, but I can't get the same illusion of depth that I get in the other case without distorting the image. Â What I'd like to do is combine both methods, using the depth map for the foreground layer and using parallax and focal plane settings for the background. Unfortunately I can't get this to work. If I use a semi-transparent layer as the basis for the depth map I get a light grey fringe around my target layer when I apply the greyscale mask and if I then try and set the parallax and focal plane settings as I would have in the first scenario, the layer with the depth map becomes unusable.
I use some graphics software that accept the image in the form of grayscale as follow :the software then convert this grayscale to a 3d relief.is there a method to convert any image to such format with there details ?
