View 9 RepliesI'm trying to practice on myself using the gradient mesh tool… I understand the point made about making many smaller meshes e.g. eyes, nose, mouth…
I open an image of myself >open the layers panel and lock my image…Create a new blank layer…Then I select my pen tool…Start making an outline of my face, approximately 1-3 pixels all the way around the outside…Then I go up to the menu bar and click on, "Object >Create Gradient Mesh" - 15 rows by 15 columns…then I use the selection tool and select the whole mesh that was just created…then set the opacity to 0%…Using the direct selection tool to select & move anchor points and handles as needed to match light lines…then I use the mesh tool to select an anchor point to start coloring this is where I start to run into trouble…
after selecting my first anchor point to color, I select the color picker tool from the toolbox for some reason I'm not able to select that color beneath the mesh (the color underneath the selected anchor point)…
I played around & so far the only way I'm able to select the color beneath is by moving the whole mesh to the side, but… I end up losing the reference point of where that anchor was…
I was trying to use the healing brush to color hair in places where it was grey. I followed all the steps from the Photoshop handbook and held down the Alt key to sample areas of the hair that were good to use, but when I brush over the grey areas and release the mouse it just softens the area instead of keeping the color and texture I sampled. What's going wrong?
Or is there another, better way how to do it? I use Photoshop CX.
I'm using PSE 11 and want to replace the brown color with white using the Color Replacement Brush.
Here are my Color Replacement Brush settings:
Unexpectedly, when I brush over the brown area, instead of the brown changing to white it's changing to a bluish-gray.
Why the brushed color isn't changing to white?
My OS is Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro.
Looks that in Inventor 2012 apperead few errors with coloring when we apply any feature on derived part. Situation:
1. Design Multi body Part with few bodies
2. Make components from it
3. Open derived component
4. Apply new material for this part (for example Copper)
5. Make Hole on any component surface
6. You will get Default color of Hole surface and surface which contact with Hole Color
I need to divide a shape, say ellipse or similar, into 1 or 2 parts and then color the parts different colors and stroke the borders of each part. I don't want to cut the shape up, just keep it as a multi-colored object.I've tried scissors and similar tools but they cut and this is not what I want.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWe have recently installed Photoshop cs6 on two Mac Pros. On one of them, Photo merge is erasing parts of the individual images while stitching. The part of the original image that is covered by masking, is also erased when the mask is disabled. The merged image generally comes out fine, however, this problem can make it much more troublesome if one needs to adjust the combined image.
On the second Mac, Photo merge works the way that it seems to work in all examples I´ve found online - the individual images retain all their pixels under the mask.
The method we´re using is Layout: Auto, with "blend images together" as the only checked box.
We use a similar sub-assembly in almost every assembly we design. So what I would like to do is make a template from this sub-assembly that I can make adaptive, constrain to the proper parts and have it resize to the main assembly. I've been trying to do this for a few weeks now with little success.
I have seen tutorials make adaptive part templates but never adaptive assembly templates. Is this even possible?
I know you can't make individual parts adaptive to multiple assemblies without saving each part as a different file and I think that's where my problems are coming from. Even though I save the template as a different file is it still referencing the original adaptive part in my library folder? If so, is there a way I can make it not do that? I may be way off base there too I don’t know.
I am looking for a quick solution of numbering around 75 things on a picture. I want to specify links of a screenshot using numbers. The way I imagine this, it would be a number with a circle around it, however, if I do this manually, it would take foreever, and I'm very limited in time. I am looking for a quick solution.

EDIT: I pasted this in the wrong forum so i moved it over here.
i am wondering to add the Spot healing brush tool to lightroom so that i can clone some parts of the photo without moving to Photoshop.

I've got a black and white photo and a paragraph of text in a layer over the photo.
The text is currently black, but of course when it hits the sections of the photo that are black, you can't see the text. So, I need to get the text to switch to being white at those point. I know I could probably just go in a change it at the proper points, but I don't wanna do that! It's a lot of text and it's a script font so parts of the letter fall at different points in the picture. We thought using the exclusion layer style would work, but it doesn't. Anybody have any suggestions?
can someone tell me why i cant change the text color to anything other than black?

Using this method, she is doing all her highlights and shading using additional airbrushed layers with lighter of darker shades as necessary. Whilst this produces some great results, things always tend to look a little airbrushed and soft.
how can produce textures such as cloths etc?
I have tried using the texturiser etc but they don't look any good cos the textures are uniform and don't follow the shape of the image.
I open a photo with Photoshop and then added a New Fill Layer. I want to put a colored layer over my picture and then turn the Opicity to about 25% to give the picture a neat colored effect but the solid layer color is always GREY no matter what I do. I can change it over and over and it reverts to gray.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could assist me and tell me how I can change the fill color layer and why it is locked gray.
how to color walls in a photo on photoshop.
I want to make it so that the color on the walls also matches the lighting.
I tried duplicating the photo as photo2 , and adjusting the hue/saturation of photo1 to match the wallpaper color, and then erasing the walls on photo2.
However, it didn't turn out that good.
How can I color over a black and white image without losing what's originally there (lines, texture, etc)? Usually when I color it's using my own lineart, which I just put as the top layer so it doesn't get in the way.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm creating an image for a client and he specifically requested the color 226m pantone matte. So basically I highlighted the logo, went to channels and created a spotcolor channel with the 226m. I then filled the channel with the shape of the logo. Now, the logo is placed over some other image, but now it seems kinda of transparent using the spot channel. So basically, what is the best way to show a spot color on the image? I tried saving the picture using Save For Web, but the logo came out grey.

How can I color the map according to geological unit using PS2, with the coloring acccurately following the internal boundary of each unit? Some combination of magic wand and replace color commands??

Invisible lines are common in animation, but how would I color it in PS?
I have used photoshop for years but never really gotten good with it. Ive decided to try to color some of my friends drawings, So far I have scanned the line art in using the black and white option. Turned it to grayscale deleted the white, and converted it to RGB. What I need to do next is have the lines redone so that when i do selections it only selects the portion of the comic that i want to color(there small gaps between many of the lines). One tutorial said to "trace" it using the brush tool, my hand is no where near steady enough to do this effectively. My goal is to get the comic to the point where it can be quickly colored.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi wanted to make a planet in space, so i rendered > difference clouds, and burned it and such to give it a space look. i then created a new layer and made a teal colored circle for the planet in the center. Now this is the step i have trouble on. When i go to burn it some to give it a 3D look and show that theres a light source, it burns the background space layer too. i don't want it to burn both. i would just like it to burn the planet and leave the background "space" alone and not change it at all, i've done it before but i don't remember.....
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk so as of right now, I have an image with a Black background color with a blurred and vectored White design over it. I want to change the White design into another color. When I use the bucket tool to fill in the white design with say.. Blue, some of the design becomes blocky blue and loses some of its edges.
When I use the "color" brush, the edges and interior part of the White design are colored in blue fine, but I end up coloring over the edges because the design isn't selected with the lasso tool or Marque tool. And even if I selected the design with the previous mentioned tools, the edges would be cut off, leaving me with a colored interior of blue, and some exterior white on the design. So I'm wondering how I would color my design, as if it were originally that chosen color.
