I want to select the eciRGB profile as my default Working Space Profile. But in PS CS5.1 (Mac) I can select the predefined profiles only. I can't select 'other' and browse for the .ICC profile file.

How can I change it to eciRGB? Put all files into ColorSync folder and into Application Support/Adobe/Color..
I've seen this question asked here and elsewhere, but without any resolution, and can't find any mention in the documentation.....I customized Illustrator's color settings thusly:But when I save the profile and try to load it in Photoshop, it throws this error:

"The color settings file contains settings that are not supported by this version of Photoshop running on this system. These unsupported settings will be reset to their default values."

Then if I close the dialog box, re-open it, and manually choose the same settings, it seems to accept it. Here is what Photoshop currently shows:

what's the difference between the commands "Assign Color Profile", "Convert to Color Profile" or doing "Mode>CMYK, and then Assign Profile",
Is there a way to make the color select tool not only select a specific color but related shades as well. I have a graphic that is mainly shades of gray but with black outlines and divisions as well as other colors mixed in. I want to shift all the shades of gray to shades of dark yellow without have to select each shade individually.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to reproduce this color blind conditionfor a long time now and I still didn't figure out how I can do this. I've searched for cluts but didn't find any, only this, which has some previews of them, but no any files I can load into Photoshop's Color Lookup adjustment. I've looked into Pixel Bender plugin, but I'm using CC so that doesn't work either... I've also tried it with the Index Color mode, but that really messes up my image as it has a really low color range (256). I've even tried reproducing the same effect with adjustments, channels, etc, but didn't figure it out.

Since there's a way to perfectly color proof images with this condition, I'm guessing this has to be some kind of ICC profile or something similar. Is there a way I can use it as a color profile?

Print. Choose Color Management. Choose Document. Choose "Photoshop manages color". Choose the correct printer profile that matches the paper I'm using. Choose Relative Colorimetric.

THEN, I click Print Settings...under the 4th drop downu I choose "Print setting..." again. Under "Basic" "color" and "Color settings" are grayed out as are some of the "Media Type" options.

Is this normal? The problem is my black and white prints are printing really badly. They have color tones. I've cleaned the nozzles on my Epson printer, done everything the print utility suggests. All the test prints look fine.
I have two questions for CS4, which may not be possible, and I didn't find in the feature forums.Â

1) Is there a way to do a color range selection created from all the colors that were selected from the magic wand tool. See attached image one.

2) Is there a way to crop an image based on histogram? For example if I wanted to remove all px that were above level 200 for all colors (or a specific color). Can effect the image at all from the histogram (without an side step to something like select color range)?

I'm working with very large images on multiple systems (both 32 and 64 bit, all CS4). Normally in the 50,000x30,000 -- 50,000x70,000 px range. For the sake of argument and ease of use I could scale down but eventually need to be operating in this range. The images are created by stitching a series of images taken under high magnification. I would like to find ways to quantify certain regions of interested based on color, but that do not have great color separation (see image 1). The hope would be take this information from several images and export the histogram information. As far as cropping the histogram is concerned: the scanning process used to create the stitched images produces a lot of near white color variation that so far I've been unable to select entirely (via color range select using clusters). I would say my best effort is only 85% of the "white" (see image 2) I want to drop out the white px for size reduction and noise reduction when it comes to histogram statistics.

Also I know this is pushing the limits of intention for PS, but we tried this on three other software packages-seemingly designed for these purposes--and failed.
A printer profile working perfectly in CS5 does even not appear in CS6. How do I fix this? (Windows 7 64 bit for CS5 and CS6).
View 10 Replies View Related have a problem with the settings of the graylevel profile. RGB and CMYK works fine, but graylevel does not. If I change the modus from RGB to graylevel, white (255, 255, 255) becomes a light yellow (255, 254, 220). Black (0, 0, 0,) becomes (1, 1, 1,).

The monitor is calibrated and there is no color problem. White is white and black is black (as usual). It's just the graylevel gamut in photoshop.

CMYK: not important
Gray: Dot gain 10% (I tried every profil but I always got the same result. White becomes a light yellow).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 on Windows 7 Professional. I just got this new computer and the AutoCAD software was recently installed. As I always do when I get a new version of ACAD, I set up my Profile settings within the 'options' menu and save to my personal Profile, and set that profile as current.
Then I pull up all my typical toolbars, Layer manager, Xref manager and all that good stuff to my workspace and save a new workspace with my name, and set that workspace as current.
Now, with this new version of ACAD, every time I restart the program my settings are all gone. Even though my 'options' Profile is still saved in there, it's not set to current, so I have to do that every time. As well as my workspace, which doesn't appear the same way I set it up and saved it as a new workspace:
The ToolSpace, the command bar and the Xref manager disappears every time.
I jumped from 2010 to 2013 when switching jobs.I have to load my profile every time I start AutoCAD, it will not save as default. Also within my profile I created, some setting I have to reclick as they are not saving within the profile. I change the setting, hit apply, the save profile as currrent.I do also have an issure with the settings changing within different drawings. I will go to options and have to re check some boxes, and I havent closed AutoCAD yet.Â

I have a style that does this, and it gets to the point where it asks to pick the profile.
If the profiles are data ref's, i can pick from a list, but if the alignment is xreffed, you must do a graphical pick.
This is super inconvenient, as my profile views are in a different base than my alignments, and they are way off to the side.
So I must xref the profile base in, and split my viws so I can pick them without excessive zooming.
Did Autodesk neglect the fact that if they make objects available via xref, they also need to make child objects available?
If I choose to use a dref as the data source, I must make a dref to the alignment and each profile I want available.
Three steps per street at a minimum.
This is also super inconvenient.
I'm struggling to find a decent workflow on this. Both approaches seem painful.
I had always thought the xreffed objects would provide the profiles, and only found they do not just now [URL]...
We loaded up C3D 2013 a month or so ago. Â I exported my user profile (Options>Profiles>Export) from C3D 2012 and loaded it into 2013. Â Now the profile will not stay loaded. Â I have to reload it every time I startup C3D. Â It also doesn't hold my view cube settings or my panes.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm exporting Tiff Prophoto files from Lightroom into PSPX4 for further processing. The images are 1 to 2 stops under exposed when compared to Lightroom's image.I have selected PSPX4 color profile to match LR export color space.
I have tried exporting the Tiffs as sRGB and adode1998 and still the images are under exposed. I have little knowledge about color management and have searched around the web for possible answers, but no luck.
I'm trying to fix my profile via lisp-registry key. Why? Because the profile we use is part of a plug-in meaning we can do it using our profile so I alternatively the answer is to tweak the one supplied as part of the plug in.

We had to migrate from one domain to annother on our network. This meant that each user had to create a new profile.
Before we migrated I tried to back up the user data from the old user but once I am up an running agian all the AutoCad settings are no longer included. I understand you can export those while you are logged in and can see the macros etc. can you simply move the files that store that information (I can still access all the files from that user I just can't login as that user anymore)

I am working with a client who upgraded to 2013 and their profile settings have disappeared. They also are not able to open hatch patterns that have been copied to the default folder, which is added to the support files search path.
I am not a CAD user or expert with the application, but am required to provide IT support for a client that uses the product.
Steps to recover the old profile settings and save the hatch patterns so they are available each time the application is opened?
See attached image file. I can't select just the profile sketch to cut extrude. It only selects the whole face (surface). I have this issue on (2) different workstations and on various parts along the way.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created default settings by serial number for my Canon Mark III 1ds which include enabled lens profile corrections. I then created a user preset with these default corrections. Next I imported a folder of RAW images shot with this same Canon camera with the user profile checked as part of the import. When I switch to the Develop module and check the Lens Corrections panel, I see that although it is checked for each file, the actual make, model and profile are not populated.Â

Is this a bug or am I overlooking something on import? I understand that in LR 4, you can apply specific lens and camera calibration profiles to camera serial numbers (noise reduction etc too).

We are currently using G7 Workflow for our profile. I have a couple of questions concerning the color settings.

1.We are also not able to hold these settings even once we leave it as "Custom". It defaults back to U.S. Sheetfed Coated Profile.Â
2. When trying to set color setting with our profile, it says it is not supported by this version of Photoshop (CS6). It will set this to "Custom" instead of G7 Workflow. What can we do to fix this issue? Please see below for the screen captures.

how to change color settings for all pictures I have on disc. I have digital camera and it saves pictures in
sRGB IEC profile but I have set monitor color settings to Adobe RGB. So, every time when I open pictures saved to disc Photoshop ask me: The document …. has an embedded color profile that does not match the current RGB working space.
I'm trying to fully understand the difference amongst the options in color settings. Who here uses what settings, and for what reason?
