Photoshop :: CS6 Not Working - Can't Open Cloud Version?
May 21, 2013
I can't open my cloud version of PS CS6, I had a box asking me whether I wanted to supply Adobe with feedback or something, I closed the box and ever since PS keeps crashing. It tries to load but as soon as the interface is loaded a blank white box appears and then I get the spinning wheel of death and am forced to quit.
What is Adobe doing? MAC and PC..First they launch updates that disable 3D in Ps CS6 EXT and now I'm getting these alerts on other CC apps as well (Ai and Id) to register and buy? I don't have a trial version.
I have been paying FULL price for a registered Creative Cloud subscription as listed in "My subscriptions & services".
I just recently (yesterday) became a member of the creative cloud. Now I am aware that my subscription (full individual subscription) allows me to use Photoshop CS6 Extended.
I previously had Photoshop CS6 Standard installed (my suspicion why it's not working properly) removed it and downloaded Photoshop via Application Manager, but it's still not the Extended version.
Also is there a way to keep the downloads because I'm constantly using photoshop at work (one of my main tools) and having to uninstalling and re downloading (which seems to take forever) is not the best solution.
All those users who have burned their fingers by the latest update to Illustrator 17.1, especially with respect to how the Reshape functionality works or how the Pencil tool behaves, there is a solution. After some digging around, I came across this page: [URL]
In short, follow these steps:
1) Uninstall the application from your computer using the application’s uninstaller. If you are not aware of their location, uninstallers reside in the same folder as your application. 2) From the Creative Cloud desktop application, begin to install any Creative Cloud application by clicking the “Install” button. 3) As soon as the application indicates it is “Updating”, click the “X” to cancel the process. 4) This leaves applications at the same version when Creative Cloud was first launched. 5) Go to the product updates site [URL] and then install the version of the application that suits your needs.
Let's get back to our jobs with 17.0 for now till the time Adobe fixes the mess they created with some thoughtful update in the future!
I have a problem with my clouds filter in Photoshop (filter>render>clouds). As far as I have understood it, the clouds tool is meant to take the background and foreground color chosen av make "clouds". Or at least that is how I understood it.
My problem is that when I choose, lets say red and yellow as colors, my clouds will still be black and white. Actually that goes for any colors, my clouds are always black and white.
I really need my cloud filter to finish my school project for friday april, 21.
Im on a Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard by the way, with Photoshop CS3.
Open application, within 15sec there is a white empty pop up rectangular box on screen and my hour glass ticks away. Can not start the program/open a file. Force quit trigger shows "Photoshop not responding".
Reboot my MaC did not sort this. Checked with CC and the PS is up to date.
I'm trying to download a free trial of photoshop. Once I've downloaded the photoshop app in the creative cloud, how do I open the software on my computer?? I've tried clicking on the app, but nothing is working!
I have just installed Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard on my new MacBook Pro. I have activated it. However when i start Version Cue CS3 and check for updates i get the message "No Internet connection. Please check your Internet settings and /or firewall. Waiting for connection...". I have turned off my firewall and the antivirus program and I still cannot get it to work.
I also cannot start Photoshop CS3. When I open the application a blank window titled "Adobe Design Suit Standard CS3" appears as well as Photoshop toolbars which I cannot select. All the options on the toolbar is greyed out and I cannot select any of them. I have to force quit the application.
I've been using PS7 for a few years and have never had this problem. All of a sudden, when I try to type text it's not showing up on the screen. I can see the text I've typed in the Layers palette but not on the page. I've rebooted and have no viruses. I'm running Win XP Pro if that info is needed. I have a feeling I've accidentally hit a command button or something that's caused this.
Downloaded the on-line trial version of Revit LT 2014. I want to open/convert old .dwg files I have on my PC to play around with, but since it's an on-line version, I don't know how to get those files into the cloud.
I just got the new Canon 70D and I went to photoshop to edit my picture (I just got the cloud version today) and it won't open my files... I went to the help files and does not even support my camera.
Do other people have an issue in Photoshop Elements 12 with it not consistently saving photos in version sets? someties it works correctly and somethimes it doesn't and it also bumps me out stating it is a new photo. i do have it configured to always save in version sets and to not notify me with new photos?
My Basic GPU features were working flawless with Photoshop version 13.0 After I update to version 13.1 for CC members all my GPU features stop working. Is there a form to set my Photoshop version 13.1 in order to use my GPU features or there is a huge difference between versions that doesn't allow me to use the GPU features?
I have a Mac running OS X version 10.7.5. I have Photoshop Elements 8 and 9 installed. They work fine. I also have Photoshop CS5.1 installed. It worked fine for a number of months until yesterday. Now, it will not open. I re-installed from the disk, and went throught the whole process, and it said "Done". However when I double-click the icon I get the spinning color wheel for a second or two, and the icon blinks, but nothing opens. I restarted my machine, but that didn't solve anything - I got the same result.
I dont mind drawings being automatically saved to the cloud, but by default I want to open drawings from the local folders. Is there a way to turn off the prompt asking whether to open a file from the cloud or locally?
I just loaded Elements 11 onto my windows 11 laptop and imported about 15,000 photos. I was really looking forward to using the face recognition for tagging the photos but it does not seem to work. When I click "Mark Face" it always says people analysis is yet to be run and when I click yes to run it, nothing happens. Same thing when I click "Add People+", it just flashing something quickly on the screen and then nothing happens. I have "People Recognition" checked in the view screen and "Analyze Photos for people" checked in my preferences.
I recently got a new laptop with windows 8, it is horrible. Aside from that I was able to install my CS5 , I pinned my 32 bit to the task bar but for some reason whenever I am in bridge and want to open an image (s) it goes to open the 64 bit Photoshop.
our company use Photoshop in combination with PDF-Files. Normally we can open every of our PDFs with Photoshop.
But now we have some PDFs that we can't open with the 64Bit version. If we try it the application crashes. But we are able to open the same files with the 32Bit version of Photoshop. We assume a bug in the 64Bit Version.
How to get the a PDF-Sample-File because i am not allowed to append the file to a public space.
I have been sent a file that when I try to open it, it says I don't have enough Ram. However, I have files far larger than this one (1.01 MB) which all open with no problems.
can my PS6 open files produced in later versions of PS?
I installed Photoshop CS6 - 64 bit, but Bridge keeps opening up photos in my CS5 that is still on my computer. How do I change this so that it will open the photos in Photoshop CS6?
My Lightroom 3 has just stopped working. It was version 3.6 and when I went to use it yesterday it just shutdown on me and threw me back to my desktop. I removed it and reinstalled it but the same thing happens.
