View 7 Replies View RelatedI wanted to create an action to determine if the color mode of an image is Lab, and if so, convert it to RGB. But there’s no conditional action test for Lab color mode. The list of conditions that can be tested includes RGB, grayscale, and a couple of other color modes, but not Lab, Can I get it done with scripting?

View 8 Replies View Relatedi'm on a Mac. upgraded from cs3 to cs6. I opened a new Photoshop file and went to do an action that I normally do with this type of file. (I have created my own action.) But Actions is no longer where it used to be — which I think was in the History area, but I'm not sure, I just go by feel. In any case, I can't find anything having to do with Actions. Where is it hiding?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create an alignment for a road I'm drafting but the alignment seems to be scaled differently and I can't find any scale command for alignments. I know that the dimensions of the model space are correct but the alignment dimensions are scaled down by a factor of 12 (I'm assuming it converted my feet to inches).
Ex: say my road is 100 Ft long and when I measure it in Model (using the AREA--> OBJECT command on my centerline of the road) it measures to 100 Ft but when I create an alignment for it the alignment tells me the road is only 8.33 Ft.
I can't find my Command Line Window. It somehow became undocked and is no where to be found on my screen. It does not appear to be floating anywhere. I've gone through all my display settings; however it says that it should be there and show 3 lines of commands.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and thats when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit load actions and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldnt find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just dont run.
Im a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.
Im having a little trouble of late understanding how to undertake an action/ command if nil
what i do know id the following:
(setq TESTvar(findfile "acad.lsp"))(alert TESTvar)
this gives me the path of the acad.lsp, that is provided it actually exists, however because the acad.lsp is not compulsory it may indeed not exist meaning that the command prompt would return the NIL value instead of the pathname.
based upon that I would like to create a new acad.lsp file if not found by autocad.

When I issue the Wblock Command I can not find the Dialog box to select objects and file location... This happens in the Layer Dialog when I try to change the color of a layer, the Color Dialog box can not be found. When I use the Block command the dialog box pops up, so I can see it.

My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI like to put my actions somewhere special on my hardrive, not in apps folder.
Now, in past, when I saved actions CS2 would "remember" where this folder was, making real easy to save.
Lately, it keep defaulting to save as in the app folder-- even though I did navigate to my special area on last save as.

View 1 Replies View Relatedhow to embed hyperlinks or other ways to use conditional branching in a Lightroom slideshow? I have Lightroom 4.3 and do not see anyway to use this method. PowerPoint allows embedding hyperlinks in slides that take you to another set of slides that can expand on the slide in the main slide show. I would like to use this for a rather extensive picture slide show.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUp until now, we have been entering room names for scheduling manually. I would like to be able to create a psd, whereby the room name is the space style name - *UNLESS* - a value has been entered in any of the manual room name properties. I am sure I can do this with a formula property but I am having trouble wrapping my head around it.
I have 3 manual property definitions in my PSD: (the names corelate to the position in the room tag)
Name_Manual_Top
Name_Manual_Mid
Name_Manual
Additionally I have one which concentates these 3 for the schedules:
Name_Manual_Sched
So I need something that says:
*if* NAME_MANUAL_TOP *or* NAME_MANUAL_MID *or* NAME_MANUAL *=nil*, *then* NAME_MANUAL *and* NAME_MANUAL_SCHEDULE = SPACETYLE *else* this is where I am having trouble - the else is that I want it to act like it always does - if there is data in one of the manual properties
I have done some lisp programming, but not any VBA (but willing to learn)

I want there to be 3 choices (i.e. 1=Air, 2=Water, 3=Gas).
If the user tries to enter any value other than the 3 values specified (whether by typing or pulldown), a message comes up stating they cant do that. The names for the systems have been simplifed for this example but the spelling is critical to the external database. I have tried but but I keep getting the follwoing is not a valid family parameter: X. X because thats the first conditional value.
I am working on implementing Chad Studer's techniques from his presentation at Autodesk University for corridors with conditional subassemblies at the driveways. Basically I created a corridor with two driveways for a test run. When I select the corridor and look at the object viewer, there are several lines going to who knows where at both driveways. But a look at the properties of the finished grade surface generated doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. I had the conditional subassembly look for a polyline on layer "driveway." It appears that there may be a gap in the corridor at each end of the pollyline. I've attached the drawing file.
