For years I was using an older version of PS. I am new to CS6 Photoshop. I cannot figure out how to resize a text box. When I chose the box with the text tool, the borders of the box do not show up. To see the border I must hold down the option + command keys. I cannot change the size of the box without scaling the type.
Also, when I click the box with the move tool, I cannot see the border of the text box. I cannot even copy the text box.
I'm trying to finally utilize iLogic and all of its functionality (after using the basic features of inventor for the past 3 or so years) and I was wondering if there was a way to use iLogic (or some other feature for inventor) to resize text in a title block field of an IDW based on the length of the text entered (i.e. if the part's name was "Cam Retainer" the text height would be .12, but if its part name was "Spacer Cam Retainer Bushing" the text height would shrink down to .085 or something) so that it would still fit nicely into the text block?
resize a canvas with 3D text. But want I want to know right now is how would you resize the whole image (make it smaller or bigger) with 3D text?Because when you make the image smaller, the 3D text stays the same size.
My character box says my font is size 12 but when I try to place it on my icon it almost fills it at 100x100.
When I try the same on a different pic, it comes out the right size. This is happening on photoshop and jpg files. As far as I'm aware all settings are the same. I tried reseting the text tool, but it's still the same. This only happens on some files. Is there a option i've ticked by mistake? I've had PS a few monts but not had this before.
I'm fairly new to PS and I wonder if someone could explain this behavior:
I started out with black vector text and a logo in Illustrator. I rasterized it and saved it as an EPS. I opened the EPS in PS 7, specifying dpi of 600 with anti-alias checked. (I'm not quite sure why it then rasterized a file that was already rasterized, but that's another question).
On my screen, it looks great! I zoomed in close and the edges are nice and smooth. However, when I try to resize it to be smaller so I can use it on the web, it falls apart. The edges become very jagged and when I do Save to Web and put it on a web page, it is very fuzzy.
I've resized color images before for the web without this fuzziness. Am I getting this effect because it is black and white? I thought trying to resize it to be a bigger image results in poorer quality, not resizing it to be smaller.
My experience with Photoshop is self-taught. I use Photoshop 7 and am currently using a trial version of Photoshop Elements 12. I found an image of a rounded corner rectangle. I changed the background color to a shade of red (R102 B8 G0), and then created the word BLOG in white. The original image size is 487 x 487 pixels and looks great. When I resize the image to the icon size I want (30 x 30 pixels or 25 x 25 pixels), the red background color bleeds through parts of the text and just doesn’t look as good. What do I need to do to resolve?
I am a molecular biologist trying to use either photoshop or illustrator to label data (I have both programs, 1 may be better than the other for what I need, but I am not sure). The data I want to label are essentially pictures, of varying size, with a resolution of 50pixel/cm (around 127ppi).
The best analogy of the transformations of my data would be a picture of some random object taken next to a ruler. I need to label the ruler, then remove the actual ruler and just leave the labels. I have several of these pictures, and I label them like this individually.
Regarding Gimp version 2.8.2, I'm posting text to a picture, the trouble is when I highlight and try to resize the text it disappears. The text layer is still on top and the eye is still visable, so the text should be visable.. I have tried different fonts and colors and sizes with no success, things I can check to make this work again?
I did just reinstall this version today ( a couple of times ) and that is when the trouble started.
I have some groups of objects (artistic text, polylines etc.) in CorelDraw X5 and want to resize them.
Resizing the groups reduces/enlarges the font size of the artistic text accordingly. However, is there an option of resizing the groups while keeping the font size the same? In the ideal case I'd like the text to appear where it should in the resized figure but at the same font size.
I am creating a restaurant menu which has a lot of different sized text. Is there a way to mass change the sizes of the fonts all in one go?I'd like to be able to reduce all the lines by 1pt in one go, is there a way to do that?
So occasionally, when working on customers files, outlined text becomes warped when resizing or using Pathfinder. For instance, I have "III" written and outlined, but for some reason if I resize this, the middle line become thicker than the other lines. Other text changes as well making it very hard to make the necessary changes to my artwork without ruining the text.
I am doing an animated theme for my girlfriend`s new handset. I have imported a small clip using imageready. The problem I now have is that I only want to use a certain (smaller) part of the picture. I can do this using the select option in every single frame, but isn`t there a way to select the part directly in the gif so that the selection is made in every frame??
how do I make the small black resizing squares appear for example if I create a text element, how do I resize it using the 4 corner black boxes, I can't see them... Or if I copy and paste something into a new image, how do I get the rezizing boxes to appear?
I designed a form in photoshop for somebody. I chose A4 size for the canvas from the preset sizes, but the problem is that I need to send it to the other person to print (I don't have a printer and they don't have photoshop).
I thought I'd save it as an image and send it to them to print out, but the image is huge (image->image size shows the document size as 21*29.7 cm but the pixel dimensions as 2480*3508 px).
My only choices (in the dropdown box), for changing the image size requires me to use either pixels or percent. I'm a bit confused as to why A4 size isn't A4 when you convert it to an image. Please could someone give me some pointers as to how I can change my PSD to an image that is A4 size,
how do I resize an image in a layer by dragging it with the mouse? Can I get it to resize while retaining its original shape? I wanna fit some things together visually and I don't wanna screw around with numbers.
I have drawn a few rectangles but want to make them all exaclty the same size and in certain positions. how do you view/change the height, width, x and y positions? In fireworks, the properties pane at the bottom shows the exact measurements and is easy to change. How is this done in photoshop 7.
Using Photoshop CS6, is there any way to make the up and down motion of control+option+pen ALSO control brush size? I keep making erroneous minute up/down changes to hardness or opacity while resizing left and right.
I am trying to resize a mask in Photshop CS6 and everytime I try to scale it the mask disappears and I cant see what Im doing. Is there a setting that I need to change so that I can see it?screenshots of what is happening when I try & resize.
I have the mask visible in the first screenshot. And the 2nd screenshot shows how it disappears when I try to resize.
This is something that I've been able to do without a problem in the past and now something has happened where it no longer works. When I insert a picture either into a new blank file or onto another picture and then click on the new picture to resize, it appears that the tool sees only the original document and not the photograph that I've just dragged onto it. It does not show the dotted line selection or the resize handles. Also when I try to use the resize menu option in either canvas or image option it changes the whole document and not the new photograph.
