For Adobe GoLive CS, how can I easily keep my navigation bar that is on my home page on other pages in my site? For example I have a button on my home page that is for the contact page. So on my contact page I want my navigation bar still at the top.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just brought Golive through the internet (education prices rule). They sent me the activtion code through email and are posting the software.
I have the trial version but the activation area is greyed out. Is there anyway of activation it or do I need to wait until the box arrives and reinstall the software?
Is anyone using Adobe GoLive or Macromedia Dreamweaver? I'm trying out Adobe's GoLive right now and I haven't looked at DreamWeaver yet. I haven't a clue how to evaluate and decide which software I'd buy and pay for. It would help me a great deal to hear some opinions or thoughts.
I like how GoLive lets me use Photoshop files. Using QuickTime for animation works great. That means I could stop fiddling with some of the rinky dink smil stuff from real. Sometimes GoLive seems to have its own opinion what's what i.e. recognizing my files. I keep forgetting that the thing really likes everything being dragged into it. But that might be windows being ms-centric.
I wonder if software like GoLive is really overkill considering I'm using it for personal use. I guess I like the idea having everything in one place (software) for once and maybe cut down on all that typing. Learning the technology is another reason. Are GoLive and DreamWeaver mostly geared/used for industrial strength production?
I have a navagation bar and I want to make a rollover menu.
Can this be done in PS, or do I have to export it to ImageReady?
I basically just want the text to change color on rollover.
Do I do the text in their different states in PS?

It is simpler to make a navigation bar myself in dreamweaver but I liked this one so I bought it. The file is psd but I need to convert this navigation bar to html and css in dreamweaver so it is functional and you can click on each menu which it takes you to a different page.
this feature works great = to select next layer down/up - option + [ or ]
BUT can you do the below.
1 - is there a way to make this work when the layers are inside a layer folder?
2 - is there a way to make this work if I want to keep another layer on in the background?
3 - if these things are not possible is there a way to program an action to make them work?
I have just installed Production Suite cs6 for Windows 7. I am working in PS and am trying to save files into the favorites like in my windows folder setup. When I save in After Effects CS6 I get that option, but in PS and IL, I do not. Is there a way to change the options in PS to be like in AE? Attached in a photo of AE on the left and PS on the right in their save windows and it looks like PS has just the icons available while AE has a different look altogether. Possibly the “Classic” look.

1. The buttons are not contacting eachother to form a smooth navigation bar. For instance, there would be a half inch gape showing just the background between the HOME and FORUMS buttons. The edges of each image does not contact eachother to form a smooth navigation bar. (Picture added for better understanding.)
2. The image that I sliced up was in the size of 1024x768. Now obviously when a person with 800x800 resolution views it, they will have to scroll. But no matter what size I input, they will either have to scroll, or a 1024x768 viewer, there bar would be to short/small. Is there a strand in dreamweaver that one can type to kind of "autosize" the header depending on the persons resolution?
when i open the lighting filter, the anchor points and the elliptical navigation tools don't appear.is there anywhere on photoshop i can activate to show them.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI'm a 3D artist, and I've been using photoshop for texturing my models for so long. Now that photoshop has improved it's 3D features, It's making my life so easy, but there's a problem(other than the memory consumption).
I have to change my navigation from rotation to panning and zooming by clicking on the buttons on top, and for a long run it would be devastating , and I haven't found a way to assign any shortcuts to them so I can easily and quickly hover around my 3D model to texture and paint it.
I personally Believe that It won't be addressed until CS7 or some other version.
How I get the edges to fold round behind the navigation bar exactly as it is in this picture.
I know how to round corners, but that' not what this is. I know its almost the same as a ribbon, but its not, its folding round behind the background color.

Is there some way of adding links in Web Photo Gallery, or should I just slap some links in with a text editor?
I'm on PS CS4 and an intel iMac. This may seem obvious to others, but I can't figure how the adobe navigation images (here at the top) are made. There seems to be something beyond just a gradient that is more texture oriented.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAll of my navigation menus are completely blacked out with dark grey text on top. Certain menus are completely blacked out and show absolutely nothing. When I mouseover the text becomes a readable grey but it makes actions much more difficult as I have to mouse over every single option.
Are there any solutions to this bug?I have uninstalled/reinstalled, updated ATI drivers, contacted support, etc and have found no solution.I am using purchased Photoshop CS3 & I am running Win 7 x64 w /i5-3570k w/ ATI Sapphire 7950 Here are some screenshots of what happens:

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe people I'm working for wanted a (huge) banner for their website. So far their site actually has fairly decent look. It's very clean and has moderately saturated blues with white text. So this is what I made this for them.
However they wanted me to adjust it, and it ended up looking like this. Is it just me or is the newer design very tacky? I didn't like the hugeness of the first one, and they ended up wanting it even bigger...
I haven't suggested going back to the old one yet because I'm waiting to hear what other people think.
It's just getting frustrating because their instructions through this whole thing have been incoherent. And it ends up in me having to remake something... and the updated version usually looks worse. It's almost like they don't like my designs because they didn't come up with them.
I have a site created in photoshop with image ready. Is there a way to change it so that it loads easier, other than rewriting the entire site. Can it be re-created in another program like Golive?

This is an annoying bug that has existed for many Photoshop versions. Keyboard layout is Icelandic.
I have made a curved shape to be used as a "rounded corner" on a section of a webpage. Background is white and the curved bit is #09b (0:153:187). However, when I use the url ( I called it corner.gif) in the CSS, the image, on the actual page, is a slightly different color: 44:154:181.
How should I have all the various color settings set up - for example, what should I have ticked in View/Proof Setup? I have been trying various things so that the color of the image in Photoshop is the same as when I put it on the page, with no success.
I know its been a while, but I found a Photoshop plug-in site and I wanted the PSG gang (Mark especially) to check out the plug-ins offered on this site and let me know if they are legit or if the kid has ripped them off from somewhere else.
