Illustrator :: Text Loses Sentence Structure
Sep 5, 2012Why does my text lose its sentence structure when I save my file as an ai, PDF, or EPS and then bring that file back into Illustrator? I've set numerous bodies of text using the text box and also without the text box. It doesn't matter. I will bring that same document back into Illustrator and my full sentences will be chopped up. A full line of text, for instance, while keeping its format, will become fragmented once it's been dropped back into Illustrator. It's very frustrating. If I need to add a character to a fragmented sentence, it will shift the part of that sentence over that I'm adjusting, but other parts will not move so now I'm typing a letter over another letter.
I can make a text box and copy all my text, then paste it into that text box and all the sentences become connected again but I lose the formatting in the process. BUT, again, once that document is saved and brought back into AI, the sentences will again be fragmented.

Aug 1, 2012Usually when I type in CS6, it will just be like typing normal. Except all of a sudden when I type. The sentance starts to move backwards and when I put something like a ? or a ! the symbols will go to the beggining of the sentance.

it is putting all punctuation at the start of the sentence.
Example i want to type
What i get is: (exclamation mark at the start of the sentance)
So far I have:
Reinstalled photoshop
Changed the language prefs from East Asian and Middle Eastern (both give the same result)
Trashed all my prefs
Checked other apps (all fine)
Used different typefaces (all act the same)
Photoshop :: Text Command - Displaying 1st Half Of Sentence In Normal Mode
Mar 5, 2005I entered a long sentence in Text Command and only 1st half is being shown. If I click T and select all it shows all the words, but normal select mode only half is being displayed.
Is it masked ?
Its like the other half of the text is invinsible.

Oct 12, 2013I have an ancient version of Paint shop pro X. It worked fine for what I used it for-making note cards and simple stuff with photos. That was all fine until my computer died. OK I had the disc and install on new computer but now all the features do not seem to be working-ability to change color of the fill area etc.
Tried messing with that for a couple of days to see if I could get it to look like it did on the old computer-no such luck.
Now I download free trial of Paint shop Pro 6-great most of what I needed seem to be working and easy to do. But now I want to add picture frames and there is a very limited selection and when I tried to manipulate a previous version of a picture + frame+ texture only on the frame part-now the texture went all over the picture/space.
What gives here? I am very technically challenged and wish I could get my old version to work right and I would be happy. The layers of the new version give me a real headache and don't know that I can figure that out now-didn't need to do that on the old version. I was used to the old way and want that back on the new computer.....
