Mudbox :: Different Displacement Map Displayed On The Model?
Oct 12, 2012I'm sculpting a portrait work and after generating the displacement map, the map itself automatically is displayed in the model. This is actually the second time I'm experienced this.
How can I disable this auto function without having to turn off the layer in the layer tab each and everytime mudbox generates the displacement map.

Mudbox :: Get 2014 Over 2013?
Jun 17, 2013I've been using mudbox 2013 on my machine for the past year. Mostly for texture painting. I tried installing 2014 but it doesn't work on opensuse 12.3. Is there any reason to go to mudbox 2014? I mostly just use it for texture painting, tried sculpting with it but I felt I was better off using playdough.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Parameters Manager Can't Be Displayed
Jul 2, 2013With Windows version of AutoCAD2013, I can't find the Dialog box of Parameters Manager (See the First Picture below) from Block Editor Tab in Manage panel (the Second Picture below.) When I pick the Parameters Manager tool, I could see something happened in a blink of an eye, and disappeared. I tried the line command by typing PARAMETERS, but to no avail. I clicked Parametriic from the menu bar, and then Parameters Manager for selection, but with the same result. I just can't display it.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Unable To Render Still Camera View That Shows Lighting And Shadows
Aug 21, 2013I'm creating 3D architectural models; primarily interior views. I use the ANIPATH command quite frequently and I'm good there.
However, I have not been able to render a still camera view that shows the lighting and resultant shadows. Whenever I attempt to render a still from a particular camera; I set it to realistic. It shows the 3D objects with materials; however not the lighting.
I've been using ACAD for about 15 years now, and consider my skill level upper-intermediate.
So far, the only successful still renderings I've been able to do are those directly associated with the typical ortho views: i.e., NE, NW, SE, SW, front, back, etc. But no avail on rendering from the camera point of view.

Annotation scale option is displayed only in the model and viewport mode but not in the lay out mode (attached)!
Based on what annotative objects living on the lay out but neither in the model (or viewport) are re-sized? At this mode, there is no option to choose the annotation scale?
On other words, how to choose the annotation scale in the lay out mode?
Photoshop :: Text Not Displayed
Mar 8, 2008I am trying to add text to a background for a poster with a photo. I can add type to the photo but when I type in the white background I only see a line that expands with each letter as I type but no text is visible. However in the layer panel the text is visible.

I was trying to follow a DVD tutorial last night from the 'digital photo' UK photography magazine and at one point needed to have two windows displayed - one a new blank canvas and the other with the the photo that was being manipulated. However when I followed the instructions as shown on the DVD, my new blank canvas opened ontop.

Feb 22, 2012The picture I've attached to this post is 180 dpi.However, Gimp says the ppi of the image is 300 (Gimp also used this information display the printed size, so it should be "dpi", but this is not my problem).
I fully understand the difference between dpi and ppi.My question is: From where is this information coming from?
My default image resolution in Gimp is 96 ppi (under Preferences > Default image > Advanced option).

VideoStudio :: X6 - Screen Sizes (Displayed On TV)
Aug 25, 2013Is it possible to see in Videostudio X6 the screen size like it would be displayed on tv? In X6 for example edited a video and saved it in Divx (6)- 704 * 398 its 1.7.
In VIdeostudio it is displayed full screen no black borders but on the tv there are borders top and bottom. Some have borders left and ride. Normally my tv fits every video to full screen so no black borders are displayed only when the movie has a 2:35 format.
When i set the video properties for the project in X6 in non square pixels then 2 black borders are displayed in the preview screen but they are on that video left and right not top and bottom.
I would like to know to avoid the black borders and display full screen on tv but if that is not possible with the formats of the video then displayed in Videostudio as it would on my widescreen tv.
I have learned that if i do a math on the video size like: 704 / 398 = 1.7 then i can see that the video is full screen on the tv .
When the outcomr of the math is 1.3 or 1.4 then it is a 4:3 video so not displaying full screen i thought to learn.
AutoCad 2D :: Why Linetypes Are Displayed Different In Each Version
Apr 11, 2012I've been running both AutoCAD 2009 and 2010 for the last year almost - and I had noticed that the linetypes (specifically HIDDEN) are displayed differently in each version. The linetypes are not symmetrical in 2010.

I noted this a few weeks back on prior use on a different computer running a version of MacOS. A third at that time did display these image files completely. I believe that was CS4 but will check on Monday. I will test with other EPS files from other programs.

Premiere Pro :: No Video Displayed During Playback
Apr 1, 2014I was watching through footage and choose a handful of clips ... my video worked fine. Then Friday I came back to start putting everything together and the clips "went blank," The audio could be heard and played back in real time, but the video displays as a black screen or a green screen. I tried rendering, but it said it would take 2+ hours to render the 1 minute of clips I had in my timeline. Even the sections that did end up rendering just showed a blank red screen. Clips are .MTS (which I've used in every project previously with no problem) shot with a Panaconic HMC-150.
I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 on Windows 8, 64-bit operating system
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU - 920 @ 2.67 GHz
12.0 GB of RAM
The thing that gets me is that this has worked for months, even worked with these clips a few days ago, and now it seems like everything just vanished.

Sep 5, 2013Offline help for Photoshop is zero. Somehow the "i Adobe Help" shows almost no offline help documents; I seem to remember there being more than presently, re "Creative Cloud".
Online help can't be accessed using the top right-hand button.I just wandered around in the maze of web pages, found an invitation to a online live "chat", logged in with my email address and password for another of countless times, filled out a form including my full postal address...then waited from five people in front to...have a chat with someone who could only talk about installations, hadn't a clue about what I had written in the form, said my version of Photoshop was too old to qualify for online chat...anyway, despite the pleasantness of the person the encounter and website system added up to further evidence that Adobe "help" is unprofessional, a waste of time, low cost...And the bug to gety started by Ctrl+Alt+Shift should have been fixed months ago.
I used to have to log in as Administrator, to make Photoshop go; now at least I can have other software running, by the Ctrl++ working (did not work, originally); but now, not having help....don't like it.I am connected to the Internet. The whole time Photoshop claimed I was not, email was being picked up and at one stage I was having an online chat, also getting the same error when testing the "help" button.
I'll be going back to upgrading a big variety of alternatives to Adobe software. I thought having so many, from so many other providers, would be more expensive and less effective than learning the Adobe equivalents; I now believe I was wrong. The bugs don't get fixed and the "help" is a disasterous waste of time.the phone, earlier this year; now I can't find the numbers to phone! Also, the bugs took hours of time that would have been better spent learning the software.Adobe software is used by professionals; whom I believe have better things to do than spend hours because of bugs better suited to Beta/whatever editions. Having the latest version, in a "cloud", means getting the latest bugs first.
