After Effects :: Make Default Option In Settings To Show H.264 Output Module
Mar 10, 2014Currently you have to check a box, and then build a module for H.264 export.
We all get it that you want people to use Media Encoder. But I never use it. It forces me to render a separate file, then re-render that file. I don't need the extra lossless files floating around my machine, and H.264 mp4's looks great coming straight out of after effects.
Since upgrading I've had set up 4 people output workflow. They all went back to making huge MOV files.
Lightroom :: Print Module Output Colorspace?
Dec 18, 2011if the print module sends srgb data to the printer by default?
The reason is I use a rip (it controls the printing) and the input needs to be matched so srgb > srgb this is the setting I have at the moment, but then someone meantion it was prophoto rgb which has me thinking?

Dec 11, 2013I want to take advantage of a FULL SCREEN to see my images.However, the panel with all the controls takes up about 1/6 of the real estate.I know the panel can be auto hidden, but I hate that workflow.
I would love to put the panel on a separate monitor leaving just the image full screen on the other.

Jan 12, 2012I was really hoping that the Quick Develop panel in the Library Module which I sometimes use if there are minor touchups needed to a photo would have been redesigned to more closely resemble and work like the Basic panel in the Develop Module. Certainly sliders instead of those arrow buttons would be a very useful change.

Suggestion was to right click on one of the panels and it should have an option that says basic, in order to get the basic panel back. That is what I did, but what it does is just opens and closes the panels. I don't know how to get my basic panel back.

Jul 18, 2010Today is the first day with Lightroom 3, where I have over 200 photos from an event, that I am walking through each photo. I am in the develop module and I am setting the color label to red or blue. What seems to be constantly (not every time) happening is when I click the color for the label, LR will move to the next photo, but not apply the color label.
As I write this I'm trying it out to notice a pattern. What I see is photo 1, I click on the red label and the photo is labeled red and LR moves to photo 2. I click on the red label and LR does not set any color label and moves to photo 3.
Another thing that happened is I was then at photo 3 and clicked on the blue label. LR did not set the blue label but jumped to photo 4 and put the blue label on that photo
Lightroom :: Copy / Paste Settings In Develop Module Never Works First Time
Mar 12, 2012Only just noticed this one since upgrading from LR4 Beta to LR4. First session developing a few shots taken over the weekend (.CR2 RAW files). When I only have a few shots, all taken in the same environment, I tend to just get the first one right and then Copy the Develop settings, and paste them onto each subsequent shot.
What happens on my 64 bit Windows 7 box - the first time I paste the settings to any shot, I get the task bar appear at the top right, which after a brief time changes to 'task completed' - but no settings have been pasted. If I then paste the settings it works the second time.

Jul 10, 2013I have isolated two issues in AE CC where I can duplicate a failed render with this message:
After Effects error: Rendering error while writing file "xxx". An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)
This happens when opening an AE CS6 project and trying to render a simple comp with only one text layer and a moving mask. It also just happened after my first round trip test with Cinema 4D. I could RAM preview the c4d layer but the output to Quicktime h.264 failed.
I have even tried a full reinstall of AE CC. I have the basic FxFactory Pro plugins and MagicBullet Looks installed, but neither are being used since this is a single 1280x720 comp with a single C4D layer. Plus like I said it failed with the same error in past CS6 files.
I don't know how to force disable a plugin to test that, but I can't see how an unused plugin could cause a render to fail like this.

Lightroom :: 4.3 - Add Copyright Watermarking Image (PNG) To Existing TIFF Files For Website Use
Dec 4, 2013I'm using Lightroom 4.3 to add a copyright watermarking image (png) to existing tiff files for website use. I have several different png files made using Photoshop Elements, with the copyright text set at different transparencies, eg 20/30/40 percent opacity, so that whichever one I use in Lightroom I can always leave the opacity setting in the watermarking dialog at 100% and the images are scaled proportionally to 35%.
The problem is that every time I export the files after setting the watermark position etc, I notice that there is a noticeable loss of both contrast and colour in the newly made tiff files.
Lightroom 4.3, Windows 7, 64-bit.
Photoshop :: Contact Sheet II Has Changed And Is Handled By Bridge / Output Module?
Mar 7, 2012Just upgraded to CS5.1 I see contact sheet II has changed and is handled by Bridge / Output module.I don't like that you can't print directly from Bridge, but have to save as a pdf, then reopen the doc and print from Reader or PS.I can only hope that changes.
I created a custom layout in Bridge, 3.9 inch x3.9 inch at 300ppi. 3 across and 3 down. Made the contact sheet, saved as pdf. Opened in CS5.1Here's the problem. The document which is suposed to be 3.9.x3.9 (square) is actually 3.092 inch x 2.318 inch (not square!).
The reason for the problem is that I drag and drop the contact sheet onto another document template (it has logo, name, etc.) to print. The other document is 4.5" x 4.5" So the contact pdf doesn't fit the template. (This used to work great in CS3 as you didn't have to save the contact sheet as it was created. It was a layered doc which you could drag onto another doc / template.) I can't see any reason the contact sheet would not be the same as created in Bridge / output mod. when opened up in CS5
