View 2 RepliesWhen I try to authorize Flickr in the publish services, nothing happens. I click authorize and then click authorize again on the permission window and then it just returns to the beginning as not authorized. No internet explorer window even opens? I was able to authorize Facebook without issue and it opened an internet explorer window just fine so I'm unclear why it doesn't happen with Flickr?
I even tried logging into my Flickr account prior to attempting to authorize in Lightroom and still nothing?
Why can´t I publish pictures from Lightroom to Creative Cloud with LR Publish Services? The only reason I bought a Creative Cloud membership was because I assumed it would work seamlessly with Lightroom publish Services..
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhy doesn't my created collection (not a smart collection) keep the arranged order of photos in that collection when I then ask the Publish Services to pull that collection over to be published? Why should I have to rearrange that collection of photos to the squence or order they are in on the Collections side?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to set up Flickr in Lightroom 4 Publish Services but get an error message when I press "OK, I'll Authorise it" on the Flickr authorisation page. The message is "The address wasn't understood. Firefox dosen't know how to open this address".
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just exported a Lightroom 5 catalog from one hard drive to another. Fine, I got all folders and pictures and settings, but I am missing my publish services (I publish to Google Drive). When exporting the catalog I have marked the top folder "Pictures".
I have a lot of publish serive folders, how to get these into my new catalog.
I'm using a publish plugin and would like to drag a Collection (title, info and all photos) to the publish services section and have it create the album for me.
in other words, i want to publish (using publish services) a collection As is without having to create a new album and duplicating my efforts.
This is a recent development. I publish photos to Flickr, Smugmug, etc., and today, I cannot see any of them in the grid view. They DO show up in the filmstrip, but they don't show up in the grid. So, I cannot select, nor can I publish newly added photos.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine running Lightroom 5. I am having problems running certain Publish Services and also while trying to import from another catalog. On Publish Services - I am able to publish to a remote desktop but not to my own network. I have also been seeing issues with publishing to SmugMug (since before they updated their site).
Similarly, I am trying to merge some catalogs and when I import from another catalog, the process seems to hang about halfway through (I left it running all night long - the catalog is large but not THAT large!). The process did bring in what seems like most files so I wonder what I am missing.
My Publish Services panel is enabled and visible, but it is empty. All Publish Services are invisible. However, it seems they are still there, because from a photo I can "Goto Collection" and select the Published Collection that it's in. In grid view, this takes me to the screen where it shows me Published Photos, Modified Photos, etc. But I cannot create new Published Collections.
I am using Lightroom 5.2 64-bit on Windows 7. This problem only arose recently without any known trigger. I've had this problem before but it went away on it's own after I published from a different catalog.
I work for a distribution company that sells 15+ product lines. For almost every product, they have a photograph. I was asked to set up a system whereby a number of sales representatives could access these photographs in an organized fashion from their own computers. This is how I have set things up: A media computer (backed up onto an external hard drive) has all the raw files. In lightroom I have set up two publish services to hard drive. The export location for these two publish services was an external drive that was accessible throughout the company network. Unfortunately, while I was gone, the external drive was changed over to a cloud-based system. As such, the export location for my publish services no longer exists.
Of course, I could go and re-create the publish services, but unfortunately that would be an incredibly laborious process because each publish service has 10 or so sets with 2-4 levels of folders amounting to several hundred folders that would need to be re-created. Moreover, because of the complexity of the system, I made them all smart-folders with specified attributes, etc. So re-creating all these folders would take a whole lot of time.
So, I was wondering if there is any lightroom wiz out there who knows a work-around for my issue.
Now, I did do some digging already and I came across this article: [URL] which outlines a method for changing the export location! However, as far as I can tell, I would still have to change the export location of each folder manually, which would basically be just as complex and confusing as recreating the publish service anyways. Am I correct in this thinking, or using this method is there a "root" folder than I can change, which will change every other folder?
I have two alignments with profiles, that when I publish either from the layouts, or from SSM, don't show up in the pdf. This includes the labels. If I do a plot of the individual sheets, they show up fine. There are other alignments using the same styles that publish just fine.
I had to repair the shortcuts to these two alignments. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it. Can't see how, since they plot fine. What's maddening is that I published a set of plans before repairing the shortcuts, and they came out fine.
I restored a previous version which required the shortcut repair, and it does the same thing.
How can I sync all the publishing services in one library to my others librarys?
I don't want to set up all publishing services to all my librarys...
I use LR 5 and OS X.
I am having a problem setting up Lightroom 4.3 Publishing Services. Each time I click “OK I’ll Authorise button in Flickr it goes to a blank screen with no completion of the process. After many attempts over the last couple of days, this morning I was able to get error message from flickr that says “Oops! Flickr doesn't recognise the "oauth_token" this application is trying to use.” And goes on to say “You don't really need to know what this means, except that you can't use the application until this problem is fixed. (It's a third-party problem, not a Flickr problem).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a number of photos that are published via multiple services. E.g. Many of my photos I publish to Google+ (Picasa), Flickr and a local Hard Drive folder.
Whenever I modify a photo that is published via multiple services, I then have to go into each published folder and manually republish. I was wondering if there was a way to somehow republish an image automatically across all of the services/folders it is published to?
when I trying to publish in single-sheet file. so I type publish on my command bar, then I chose publish to pdf but when i try to click on publish options to set the location where I need to put the pdf files the publish window freeze. same thing when i click on add sheet button.
NOTE: I have this problem especialy when I used AUtoCAD from home. to use AutoCAD from home I made borrow licence.
Using AutoCAD 2013, myself and several other coworkers have encountered an error message when creating a pdf with the publish command. I attached a screen shot of it.
We never experienced this in earlier versions. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it has been recurring more in the past month. I have restarted the computer after receiving the message and then invoked the publish command after restart and it was successful. I'm not going to do this every time I publish, nor do I see the need to turn off background plotting. That just seems like a bandaid fix.
I even tried publishing with different page setups to determine if it would react differently to any page setup, but it doesn't. I attached a view of my publish window, as well.
The issue we have all been experiencing with LR 4 RC2 seems to still be in the release of 4.1
When I try to publish a photo to my flickr photostream I get the following error:
Can't update this collection. And internal error has occurred: A semi colon character was expected.
I find this to be ridiculous. We let the powers that be know of this issue and still nothing seems to have been done. I guess I have to return to the RC1 release just to get my photos uploaded and retain my usability with comments?
when I try to setup and authorize Flickr it ask me to signin to my acct. I sign in then it asks me to allow Flickr to authorize and I say yes then it brings up a blank browser window and nothing happens so I can not get past the authorize section of the publish dialog box
View 8 Replies View RelatedNow that the Revel publishing service is built into Lightroom 4.1, what is happening when I publish a large take of raw files? Does Lightroom first render jpgs, upload the jpgs to Revel and then snyc those back to lightrooms raw files? I don't want addition jpgs in my lightroom catalog, but im ok with having jpg versions of the raw file on Revel.
I would actually like to do this for my entire raw archive. Storing that many fullsize jpgs online for $5.99 a month isnt that bad.
Ability to upload any videos to Facebook via Lightroom's publish?
I go to the Lightroom Publishing Manager, and in the middle it says, "Videos will not be uploaded into this album. Facebook organizes them under "My Videos". OK, but it doesn't have an option for selecting that album.
I have a FTP publisher that I'm unable to add photos to it in the Publish Services module. I have been able to drag and drop a photo to the service, but, noe I'm unable too. Each time I drag a photo to it ,it won't let me drop the photo. I check the plugin manager and the service is enabled, all settings are correct. I judt don't know and can't find any infomation as to why.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been upgrading from LR4 to LR5. Then I imported the LR4 catalog. But no Publish service was following to LR5.
I have used the FLICKR plugin a lot - made more than 80 FLICKR-sets. How to migrate publish services from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5?
I don't often publish to facebook, but in the past I have created several collections under the facebook publish service, each going to its own album of the same name.
However today I decided to add 2 photos to an existing album, but when I click publish they appeared in a new album called "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Photos" instead of the existing album.
Is this a change in the plugin or maybe something facebook has changed?
Is there any way to get it to publish direct to albums again?
I have downloaded and enabled the lightroom plug-in for publishing to iphoto but when I try to use it I get an error: "An internal error has occurred: [string "iPhotoPublishServiceProvider.lua"]:174: assertion failed!"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created a publish service (jf zenfolio) under which using the the jf plugin publish I created varios folders, under which I've dropped different photos to publish.
Now... is there anyway I can tell the publish service to publish / republish everything in one click (instead of having to click on each folder to see if there's anything outstanding?
After upgrading to Lightroom 5, I found an error message in the Publish service pane reporting the Revel module as missing. Is there a new module foreseen for Lr5?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I publish photos from one of my publish services, sometimes they export as 0 kb files and sometimes not. It's pretty random because when I delete the empty files and republish them, some files turn out ok, but other ones are still empty.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I publish to Flickr, I want to use a white watermark for some and others I want to use my black watermark (because the background colors on the photo warrant one or the other, otherwise the watermark will not show). Do I have to publish each photo separately and not in a combined group or is there a way to indicated which photo I want the white watermark on and which I want the black watermark on?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can no longer publish to facebook!
I get the "Photo upload failed, but no error string was returned from Facebook" and "Can’t update this collection. Photo upload failed, but no error string was returned from Facebook."
The plugin diagnostics report is as follows:
**** Error 1
This plug-in’s post-processing task did not finish successfully.
Photo upload failed, but no error string was returned from Facebook.
Now I have searched and searched for answers, which is normally it's a permission problem with facebook. Well it's on fb page, it's set to public and app has a permission of public.
I have removed the app from fb, removed authorisation from lightroom, deleted the prefs file, logged out of fb, tried to publish when all access to fb was logged out etc, etc and still no joy.
It doesn't matter if it's a new album, an existing album, my profile or a page!
Lightroom: 4.3

I'm trying to publish (LR5 current version) to my facebook page (xyzphotography), but it posts to my personal timeline (xyz). They are both under the same account name (xyz). How to publish directly to a "Page"?
