This is a recent development. I publish photos to Flickr, Smugmug, etc., and today, I cannot see any of them in the grid view. They DO show up in the filmstrip, but they don't show up in the grid. So, I cannot select, nor can I publish newly added photos.

New to LR and have just installed LR5 but there is no sign of any "publish services" module in the library mode as described ?

I click authorize and then click authorize again on the permission window and then it just returns to the beginning as not authorized. No internet explorer window even opens? I was able to authorize Facebook without issue and it opened an internet explorer window just fine so I'm unclear why it doesn't happen with Flickr?
I even tried logging into my Flickr account prior to attempting to authorize in Lightroom and still nothing?
Why can´t I publish pictures from Lightroom to Creative Cloud with LR Publish Services?The only reason I bought a Creative Cloud membership was because I assumed it would work seamlessly with Lightroom publish Services..

I have a lot of publish serive folders, how to get these into my new catalog.
I'm using a publish plugin and would like to drag a Collection (title, info and all photos) to the publish services section and have it create the album for me.
in other words, i want to publish (using publish services) a collection As is without having to create a new album and duplicating my efforts.
I am on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine running Lightroom 5. I am having problems running certain Publish Services and also while trying to import from another catalog. On Publish Services - I am able to publish to a remote desktop but not to my own network. I have also been seeing issues with publishing to SmugMug (since before they updated their site).
Similarly, I am trying to merge some catalogs and when I import from another catalog, the process seems to hang about halfway through (I left it running all night long - the catalog is large but not THAT large!). The process did bring in what seems like most files so I wonder what I am missing.
My Publish Services panel is enabled and visible, but it is empty. All Publish Services are invisible. However, it seems they are still there, because from a photo I can "Goto Collection" and select the Published Collection that it's in. In grid view, this takes me to the screen where it shows me Published Photos, Modified Photos, etc. But I cannot create new Published Collections.
I am using Lightroom 5.2 64-bit on Windows 7. This problem only arose recently without any known trigger. I've had this problem before but it went away on it's own after I published from a different catalog.
I work for a distribution company that sells 15+ product lines. For almost every product, they have a photograph. I was asked to set up a system whereby a number of sales representatives could access these photographs in an organized fashion from their own computers. This is how I have set things up: A media computer (backed up onto an external hard drive) has all the raw files. In lightroom I have set up two publish services to hard drive. The export location for these two publish services was an external drive that was accessible throughout the company network. Unfortunately, while I was gone, the external drive was changed over to a cloud-based system. As such, the export location for my publish services no longer exists.
Of course, I could go and re-create the publish services, but unfortunately that would be an incredibly laborious process because each publish service has 10 or so sets with 2-4 levels of folders amounting to several hundred folders that would need to be re-created. Moreover, because of the complexity of the system, I made them all smart-folders with specified attributes, etc. So re-creating all these folders would take a whole lot of time.
So, I was wondering if there is any lightroom wiz out there who knows a work-around for my issue.
Now, I did do some digging already and I came across this article: [URL] which outlines a method for changing the export location! However, as far as I can tell, I would still have to change the export location of each folder manually, which would basically be just as complex and confusing as recreating the publish service anyways. Am I correct in this thinking, or using this method is there a "root" folder than I can change, which will change every other folder?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I go to Edit and choose "Select none", they are deselected for a a few brief seconds and then highlighted again. If I go to another photo, it leaves one of the previous photos selected and also selects the second photo. I've tried restartting Lightroom, restarting Windows 8.1, all to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've seen several adobe tutorials and youtube videos that show moving photos or folders by drag and drop in the library grid view. I cannot get it to work.
Steps:
1. Mousedown on a photo (not the frame) in the grid
2. Drag the mouse to a folder in the "Folder" pane (left of the grid)
3. Mouseup on the destination folder
Results:
Nothing happens. The mouse cursor doesn't change from the arrow. There is no indication I can drag and drop. The photos are not moved.
The photos are stored on a NAS. Of course I can move them around via Windows Explorer, but I want to do this from inside LR4 for obvious reasons. From LR4, I can create new folders, but I still cannot move photos into those folders. I also tried creating a new folder on a local drive. Again, I was able to create the folders, but was not able to move any photos into the folder.
I'm unable to drag a group of photos or even single photos to a publish folder. In this case it's SmugMug. What is the correct method?

I have a FTP publisher that I'm unable to add photos to it in the Publish Services module. I have been able to drag and drop a photo to the service, but, noe I'm unable too. Each time I drag a photo to it ,it won't let me drop the photo. I check the plugin manager and the service is enabled, all settings are correct. I judt don't know and can't find any infomation as to why.

I have ensured that permissions on facebook have been set to public, deleted lightroom uploader on facebook, reauthenticated numerous times, and created a new album. Every time I recieve that error. Most times one or two photos are uploaded, all duplicates of ones that have been previously published.
I am using lightroom 4.1 with OSX 10.6.8
I updated to lightroom 3.6, I no longer have grid view when importing photos.

View 6 Replies View RelatedToday I was browsing through my images library and I noticed that some of the images are dimmed. By dimmed, I mean that they appear desaturated... as though LR4 is trying to tell me something about the image... but I don't know what.
If I click on the image I can edit it. It appears normal when it is the "current image" (bright colors again). But as soon as I make another image the "current image" the other image goes back to the dimmed look.
This is only true for some images.
I was able to re-order images in the grid view just by dragging them. Now I cannot move images.

Just seeing the "this photo has keywords" tag does not work. I need to see the actual keywords, without having to click on each individual photo to see them.

There are also times when I can't select the outer grid photos or can't scroll within the grid. It is almost like the program isn't recognizing that my cursor is hovering over the photo. This doesn't seem to be effecting the selecting of photos in the horizontal strip at the bottom of the page. I'm using a macbook pro; it has the most recent OS.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using LR 4.2 (on Mac) and have been using LR since 2.0. Yesterday all the badges on all my photos disappeared in Grid View. I didn't change any prefernce settings, or update that I am aware of. When I go to View > Grid View Styles> Show Badges, that option is checked, however it is grayed out. On the Mac that usually indicates it is not a viable option.
I've restarted the program but the problem remains. how to bring back badges?
Out of the blue, when I re-import Photoshopped files back into LR3, they fail to appear in Grid View. But they DO APPEAR in the 'Import' screen, grayed out, as normal. So why is LR suddenly not showing them in Grid View.Here's a screenshot of the import window that clearly shows the image that does NOT appear in Grid View. Notice that image# 2012_3_4-Edit.tif resides immediately next to it's original 2012_3_4.tif file. It obviously is part of the catalog, LR knows it's there but it does not appear in the Grid. I really need a solution to this because I've build my workflow around moving files around with LR and this is a major setback for me now.
