View 1 Replies View Relatedsetting up presets for making adjustments to more than one image, I keep hearing about doing that by way of the "quick develop" panel, but I don't like that panel... its a bit too basic or something... I don't like making settings where I can't see a bit more about what I'm doing.
Is there a way to create presets when in the Develope mode? I don't see any clues on the the basic panel, but hopefully I'm missing something. Is there not a way to record the settings I've made inside the basic panel into a preset?
I upgraded to LR4 from LR3. After opening LR4 I realized that the Develop/Basic menu sliders are identical to LR3, i.e., Exposure, Recovery, Fill Light, Blacks, Contrast, Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using macs running mountain lion. I've updated two computers to Lightroom 4.2. One shows the new form for the basic panel of the develop module, e.g., including the brightness slider. The other installation reverted to the Lightroom 3 panel, and I can't find a preference that affects this.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI went to develop a photo yesterday, and suddenly noticed the Develop "Basic" column (has Treatment: Color, B/W, then White Balance, then Presence...all the stuff between toNE CUrVE and Crop/Red eye, etc. I can't imagine what I accidently hit to make this disappear, but I have once again tried Lr Help, touched everywhere on the screen and can't seem to restore this part of develop. It happened once before when I lost the "Regions" on the tone curve. All I had to do was click the little box to the right, and it got restored. I don't see anything like this for the Basic section, tho'.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recenlty upgraded from Lightroom 3 to Lightroom 5.3 with no problems. However, now after 3 weeks of use, my entire 'basic' panel in Develop has disappeared. I no longer have Wb tool, or any sliders for temp, tint, exposure, black, white, shadows, clarity, etc. If I am going to lose a panel, I don't want it to be this one!
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis may be related to other imported catalog bugs, but does not seem to be quite the same. In Lightroom 4, with an upgraded Lightroom 3 catalog:
1. Select a photo in Library mode.
2. Click on Develop to go to Develop mode
Screen shows "No photo selected". I cannot edit photos in Develop mode.
I can see and edit photos that are found in smart collections, but not photos that are simply in my collections from 2012, 2011, etc. folders
Cannot open basic panel while in the develop module.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was editing a photo in Lightroom 5 the other day, and I thought I hit something, but all of a sudden the basic panel was missing. Suggestion was to right click on one of the panels and it should have an option that says basic, in order to get the basic panel back. That is what I did, but what it does is just opens and closes the panels. I don't know how to get my basic panel back.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have opened LR5 and found ALL the pictures have lost development settings that cost me hours of work.when I open a folder in the Catalog the pictures are first shown for a couple of seconds with the edits (for example BW) than as originally imported. All the development settings are gone and can't be found anymore. The history is empty. The last thing I did when I last used LR was a backup.I opened the backup Catalog, but also this one doesn't show any edit.Is there any way to recover.
I am honestly tempted by throw this software to the waste bin.
I have lost all changes that I made in the develop module. Most of these photos where stacked with the raw copy on top of the jpeg. Then I had picked the ones I liked and make changes to them in the develop module. Then I and changed them to DNG. This was over two weeks ago and I think I was trying to put them in to a collection. Now all I see is the originals as they appeared on the day they where imported.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLR 5.3, Develop module - I seem to have lost all my options under Camera Calibrate. All I have now is Camera Standard and Matrix, where I used to have a slew of options. I'm still using the same camera and lenses, which are known to Adobe, processing RAW files.
View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter my internal HDD became full with over 30,000 DNGs, I moved all my photos along with the catalogue to my external drive. Now when I open LR, not only do I have to reimport the catalogue every time, but all my develop settings are gone! Hundreds of hours down the drain. Why has this happened, and is there any way I can retrieve them? I'm using v3.4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedNot all the time, but there are times when i am working on an image, generally after I've been working on it in Photoshop. Once it comes back into light room and I want to do just about anything to it everything goes dark and comes back with the adjustment I just made. Does this when I move the slider or make any adjustment to the image whatsoever.
