I have a student who is unable to import her .RAF files into LR5, or view them in Bridge (or even in finder for that matter). She is able to open them in PS6 as RAW, but that's it. I've checked for LR5 updates but it says it's up to date. What else could I try?
How can i get adobe to recognize my Fuji Finepix S1 RAW files, Fuji Support tech says it uses same processor as the Fuji Finepix SL1000 that is supported, unless there is another work around that lets adobe products see my raw files from my Fuji Finepix S1
I'm using Lightroom 5.3, Camera Raw 8.3. Yesterday, I was able to import Fujifilm X-E2 files into Lr 5.3. But today (01.01.2014) I get the error message that the files cannot be read.
I've just purchased lightroom 5 and I'm having problems importing my files. I first detected the problem with my CR2 files.
After investigating I found this person with the exact same issue: [URL] ....managed to fix the problem by changing the prefrence file as indicated here: Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5
Now I'm trying to import my RAF files (Fuji x100) and I'm getting the exact same issue.
when connecting a Fuji FinePix SL1000 to LR 5.3, I cant see the preview pics of the .raf files. So it's quite hard to figure out which ones have already been imported or are not worth to be imported. When I connect my EOS 6D I can see the Thumbnails of the .cr2 files. Is there anything that needs to be configured in order to show the previews?
I wish there were camera calibration presets that matched the in camera jpeg settings for Fuji files like there is for Nikon. (They mimic the classic Fuji films.)
I just upgraded to LR 5 and when i import files for a Fuji X100S it just hangs and hangs. I have to kill LR and restart. Files for my canon 5d mkii are no problem, import easily. Is there a patch or an update I am missing? i have version 5.3
When I tried to export several (say 15) Fuji X-Trans files at the same time, I got a "Not Enough Memory" Error. This problem only occurred after after upgrading to Lightroom 4.4. I can now only export a few (3-5) X-Trans files at the same time.
I am using Windows 7 32-bit with 4GB memory, SSD System drive, and Radeon 7700 Graphics card. For Virtual memory, I set "no paging file" on C drive and "system managed size" on another SSD drive.
I have a Fuji X-e1 and the latest update of LR 4.4 running on 10.6.8, 16GB RAM, all OS software up to date.
The problem is my Fuji RAW files don't show the correct lens profile in the Develop module. The only choice available to choose is for Fuji X100 (which I've never owned or shot). The metadata in the Library module is correct for both the lens and camera, and also shows correctly in Bridge.
However, with the same software on a friend's Macbook Pro -- also 10.6.8, LR 4.4, etc. -- the lens profile correctly allows for the X-e1 and 18mm lens auto-correction.
I uninstalled LR on the desktop using an uninstaller called Zap It, downloaded 4.4, reinstalled and still the same 'error'.
I have a Fuji XE-1 camera and was pleased to see that this camera is listed as supported in ACR 7.4. However when I installed ACR 7.4 I cold not find the profile for my Fuji XE-1 in either Lightrrom 4 (or 5 Beta) or Photoshop CS6. I can find a profile for my old camera a Fuji X100 but not the new one.. I also use the standard Kit lens with this camera, the 18-55mm OIS F2.8-4 lens and it is not lsted either. Am I doing something wrong as I look for it under camera profiles. Is their a way to load them into ACR from an external website or are they "baked into" ACR 7.4?
I am using an iMac withg the latest version of Photoshop CS6, Lightroom 4 and OSX 10.8.3
I am importing raw files from the X100S, converting them to DNG files, and they come out at around 55Mbytes per picture. When the quicker startup info and the Raw file is included in the DNG file, the size goes up to around 70Mbytes.
Specific environment: OS X latest version 10.8.4, iMac about 3yrs old.
I keep hearing conflicting reports about how Lightroom handles lens corrections for the Fuji X100s. Some say you need to use the X100 profile while others say that Lightroom applies the corrections automatically, behind the scenes, based on info embedded in the raw file itself and that selecting the X100 profile would only "double up" on the corrections. Others have said that there is no X100s profile yet but NOT to use the X100 profile because it might make things worse since the sensor has changed and the new X-Trans sensor and lens combination would likely need different corrections than the old one.
I just unpacked my x-pro1 w/ 35mm lens. I am still reading through the manual and trying to learn the ins and out of this amazing camera. I set up the unit to take raw + L-jpg files. When I tried to import them from the card into LR the program didn't see the files. So I then copied the files to a folder on the desktop and tried again w/ no luck. I finally split the raw files from the jpgs put them in seperate folders and was able to import the jpgs into lightroom. I am storing the raw files in a safe and sound place until Adobe writes the code for the x-pro-1 raw files then I will import them on mass.
I have just bough a Fuji F770 EXR camera. I took few pictures in RAW + JPG and RAW onluy mode in low light. Some part of the RAW (RAF) file rendering show completely desaturated areas using the Rendering 2012 and 2010.Ex: a green shirt and an orange shoes appear grey.
This does not happen if I set LR to use the 2002 engine. Of Course this engine shows less details and more color noise. Is there any way I can send the sample RAF file so that an engineer so that he can have a look at it?
Looking forward to this update because i use a Fuji X pro 1 and I had read that lightroom 4.4 now supports this camera and sensor.
However after updating all I get in the Lens adjustment under Fuji is the Fuji x100 which has been their for some time. The exif info is showing the correct camera and lens used etc.
I have tried uninstalling and then manually removing any left over files and folders with no luck.
Do i have to install support for this camera as an addon?
Also if i look in the lightroom folder Camera profiles/camera it only lists Canon, Nikon and Sony
I am currently using a Nikon D7100 and recording my photos in the Raw/NEF-RAW format. Recently, whenever I am uploading my photos to Lightroom 5, my photos are changing to .dng files rather than staying in the NEF file. When I go and look back at my previous imports from the past few times, they are in NEF and NOT in .dng. Why is this doing this and how do I turn this feature off so that my files remain the same going from my camera to my computer through importation.
I just upgraded to a 5D and LR4.. when I import the files load as CR2 files, not DNG files. When the files import it takes 4 files to find them. It also will not recognize the file names in the library. How do I fix this to import like it did in LR 3??
Today I went to LR4 and tried to import RAW CR2 files into the program using the usual import process which is pretty automatic. I also asked that copies be saved as DNG files. No matter what I tried, I got an error message saying that the files could not be imported. I use a Canon 5D Mark III. The only difference in today's shoot was that I used and HDSC card instead of a CF card. No other obvious changes. Clearly, this is a serious concern. What amI missing?
How can I make Lightroom import only RAW and not JPG files? (Some camera's require you to save a JPG next to a RAW to generate the best preview on the camera LCD).
I am suddenly unable to import photo files from my computer directory into LR 4.3. I have imported thousands of photos previously, but now I get an error message "Could not copy a file to the requested location". I have seen comments elsewhere on forums which says that to solve this the "Destination" has to be set to "Pictures". I can't find anywhere to select "Pictures" in the Destination menu.
LR is now totally useless to me. How can you get to talk to an expert at Adobe? I just get sent round in circles and end up back on the forum every time!! This is urgent!
25/02/13 Solved this myself. Found after clicking on the arrow at the top right, I got a pull-down menu of recently used destination paths, and by ticking the one which showed "My Lightroom Photos/ Pictures" all was well. (My Lightroom Photos is my directory in which I keep all my photos).
Lightroom 2.7 won't import raw files from folder. After I choose files and click they come up as a white file that says (preview not available for this image ) and I can't go any further. Have no trouble importing JPEGS.
