I am using Lightroom 3.In the Menu Photo/Edit In.can I set it to open in Elements 10.And will it function as it does with Photoshop CS5. Ie open edit then save back as another version.
I just got photoshop elements 11 and when i try to open a photo with lightroom (4) adjustments, lightroom makes a copy, but then it doesn't show up in Elements (11).
For some reason, I am no longer able to move files over to photoshope from within the Lightroom developments module. The option to "Edit in photoshop" is greyed out.
I just purchased PSE 12. In Lightroom 5, I can set up an Edit in Photoshop Elements preset.
When I try to edit a .dng or .cr2 raw image in PSE from Lr5, the first dialog I get asks if I want to edit a copy with Lr adjustments. Then PSE opens but no file(s) are loaded.
If I open the file directly from PSE 12, it will open (with Lr5 adjustments)... but that's not the point.
getting the Lightroom 5 --> PSE 12 workflow to operate properly?
I wanted to open several images in photoshop. However, because my purpose was to use these images as part of a collage, I was interested that the images would open as DNGs and would not automatically be save as psd's until i actually did a save. However i found that every image opened was saved as a psd automatically. I am using photoshop elemensts10. Is this the reason? I have to delete each and every one otherwise
Why wont elements 10 open with the image inside it, when I choose edit in Elements 10, it opens the software but minus the image, it works fine in cs versions.
I am unable to open PSE 10 when I select "Edit In" with Lightroom 4. I have changed Preferences to PSE Editor. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PSE. I am using a MAC.
Windows Explorer set to open image files with PSE11, but when I double click on image in WE it launches PSE11, but I then need to click on Open tab in PSE11 to get it into work window. PSE10 did not have this problem
I am working with the latest versions of Photoshop, Lightroom & ACR. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the links to Photoshop from Lightroom were all grayed out. for example when I right click on an image and select "Open With," it and all of the rest of the links to Photoshop are grayed out and inaccessable. I have been using Photoshop since v2 ansd Lightroom since v1. My operating system in Win 7.
Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to reestablish the links. I spent about two hours doing that yesterday. when I was done the links were back and functional. I left the compluter on all night to make sure everything was backed up. This morning I opened Lightroom (64bit) and attempted to open an image in Photoshop for editing. All of the links were grayed out again.
I store my new photo files in my own file system (date and order of taking). It is this I want access to not to some new catalogue which Lightroom seems to require. Is there any way to open Lightroom and go to my files without having to create a new catalogue which I do not want or need? Also I have a separate partition for cache for Photoshop CS5 which I also use to finish off my work. Photoshop purges its files when I exit but Lightroom seems to leave files still in there which I then have to delete manually. Am I missing some prefernce which Lightroom will do on closing?
I have both Photoshop CS5 and Elements 7 on my laptop, which uses OS Windows 7 64-bit. Recently I was trying to use CS5 and it keeps freezing on me and giving me an "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working" error. Since CS5 wouldn't work, I tried switching to Elements 7. When I double-clicked the icon, I got nothing but the swirly blue 'wait' circle. It won't open at all unless I try to open a PSD file, then the editor screen pops up for just a moment and I get another "has stopped working" error.
The only thing I've recently installed was an Intuous 5 tablet. Thinking that might be the problem, I tried uninstalling it but not only does the problem still persist, I can't re-install my new tablet because the installation software uses Adobe Projector and I get a, wait for it, "Adobe Projecter has stopped working" error. All my other programs are working fine, it's only the Adobe programs that keep giving me errors. I've tried restarting the computer and uninstalling and re-installing Photoshop. My system is fully updated, as are both programs. The error I get in the event log is this:
I was shown, and have read that to do this I have to right click on the file and select 'Open in Adobe raw' but do not have this option appear when I right click.I am using Elements 11.
I like to open the same RAW a second time on Photoshop 11.
Earlier in the Day it works to open the same file it a second time. I can open the Same Raw twice with different Setting. You know what i mean?
Since a few Minutes, it don't work. I reboot the Computer an Start Photoshop11 again. But i cannot open the same RAW twice. The Camera RAW Tool doesn't start if i like to open the Same file. I also cannot open the Same JPG twice.
I have recently bought a new Nikon D7100 camera . When I try to open some NEF raw files, Photoshop Elements 11 complains my camera is not on the Camerra Raw list. I have tried for hours and hours to see how to fix this ... I have done the usual look at the plug-ins etc - the plug-in states I haev version 7.4 - which according to the blurb means D7100 files should be Ok ... beginning to get a bit pee'd off now with Adobe......
I'm running Windows 8.1 (On a Mac) and just installed Photoshop Elements 12, but the Editor won't open. I already tried holding down the SAC keys to no avail.
I've been using Photoshop Elements 11 for several months with my laptop running Windows 8. All of a sudden today I can't open jpegs. I click "open," navigate to the picture I want to open and nothing happens. I tried holding down, Ctrl, Alt, Shift when starting the editor to reset preferences and that did nothing. I even tried going to Preferences and clicking Reset Preferences on next launch and that also did nothing.
I am aware of the way to open JPGs in the ACR module by being in the Editor, and going to File>Open and changing the file type to RAW. I find this to be terribly inconvenient, however.
Is there any way to open a JPG in RAW from the Organizer where I can actually see the files? With regular Photoshop/Bridge I can just right click in Bridge and open in RAW easily. But I can't seem to find a way to do something similar in PSE11? There has to be an easier way because going to File>Open and trying to figure out what file I need from a huge pile of files is not a very good workflow.
I was just working on something about an hour ago, I know I saved it. But now when I try to open it, a message pops up saying: "could not complete your request becuase the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop." I understand that I should've saved as a jpeg too but is there any way I can get this back, I really don't want my hard work to go to waste and to have to start over! I am using Elements 10.
My PSE11 won't open and I keep getting notices stating that it won't open with my verson of OSX (maverics) It goes on to say I may need to reinstall the application and updates. I have tried all of this and still can't get any results. There aren't any updates.
I might consider going to 12 but Adobe has omitted the Magic Extractor, something I use all the time and can't live without.
