View 5 RepliesIn the develop module the edit in dialogue gives me the choices of CS5 which I have, Elements 7 which I have, but NOT Elements 10 which I also have. Is there a way to include this as a choice for editing directly from Lightroom?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was playing around with PS in the Apple store over the weekend and noticed one of the differences in Photoshop on a Mac and PC. On a PC you right click on a tool in the tool palette to get the other choices. You can't do that with a Mac one button mouse. How do you get the other tool choices on a Mac?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm running on LR 5.3, but this problem persisted in LR 5.2. Working in PS CS6 and Camera Raw 8.3. RAWs are NEFs from a Nikon D600.
I can't figure out what happened but suddenly I am not getting prompts when moving from LR to PS to "Edit Original" or "Edit a Copy".
I reset all dialog warnings and nothing. The prompt will appear for TIFFs but not for NEFs.
It's kind of pointless to not be able to choose to edit an original or copy with LR adjustments for a RAW when they are the file types that retain my RAW editing information.
Plus, when I do click on a NEF and choose to edit in PS without the prompt (it will appear with lightroom adjustments, not as original), it will open a second icon for photoshop on my dock, and prompt me to continue trial? I have a version of PS installed with the serial plugged in, and in LR "edit in PS" for a TIFF will open this primary version.
Suddenly I can not longer choose expand, contract, smooth or feather under modify, only border.
View 15 Replies View RelatedWith so many choices, it would be nice to have an option for alphabetically sorting by the extension.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is something I've always wanted, and don't know if it exists. I'd like to somehow place type in an image, and scroll down the font selections to see the font choice change in the image window (not in the font sample area of the Character Window, or Type Menu line). I know you can click on the font to see it change in the image window,
but ideally I'd like to scroll down the font list, or down arrow down it, to see the font quciky change in my image to pick a font.
Is it possible to add another choice on the "open as" when you want to open a photo in Bridge? I have CS6 and CS6cc. How can you access the default?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a big problem with Illustrator and it happens all the time. I have made a pattern and although it works fine I now have no colours in my swatches just the patterns and my line choices for strokes is now limited to one choice. If I open a new doc the default materials are back and line choices. It's obviously a preference somewhere but I haven't the foggiest idea where to find it. It's very frustrating because I can't reset to the defaults and I can't append colours to the swatches or append new strokes to the line choices.

Save For Web offers 5 resampling algorithms (the same 5 as in Image Size, ignoring "Bicubic Automatic", of course) for when the output is being resized.
All choices except "Nearest Neighbor" output an identical image (which is different to all results of Image Size). Although the "Bilinear" output contains the same pixels as the output of the 3 bicubics, its file size is slightly different than their shared file size.
I received specific menu choices for Color Settings from a commercial printer I use. I went to Edit<Color Settings and saved them as a .csf file in User/Library/Applications Support/Adobe/Color/Settings. I named the .csf file after the printer. When I go back into Edit<Color Settings and open the Settings menu I am able to choose the settings I saved from the list of settings. Now I open an image in PhotoShop and go to Edit<Convert to Profile.
In the dialog box I open the Profile menu, but the settings I saved in Edit<Color Setting are not one of the Profile choices. Am I confusing Setting and Profiles? How do I Convert an image file to the setting given me by the printer? I also wanted to proof as per the printer's settings. When I go to View<Proof setup<Custom I can choose Working CMYK Web Coated SWOP 2006 Grade 3 Paper, which is generally the profile this printer is using. But I can't choice my specific color settings saved under the printer's that I previously saved in Edit<Color Settings. In the Proof Setup dialog box when I press the load button I can navigate to the Settings folder where my .csf file is saved, but it is greyed-out so I can't choose it.
Cannot "acquire image" from either my scanner nor camera as the choices are grayed out in Corel DrawX5.
HOWEVER I can acquire them in PhotoPaintX5.
Is this a "glitch" or a built in inconvenience?
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
Have no choices in the camera calibration tab inside camera raw plugin. Use CS3 and Raw 4.6. Are choices only available in later version or PS? Also in Raw preferences choice for camera serial number and also setting as defaults. Where to enter serial number etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAm using LR 2 on Version 7, 64 bit machine, and, when right clicking an image file, cannot select CS5 as editing software. In fact, all choices are "grayed" out as being non-selectable, including Edit in Other Application. Used to be able to do it, but not
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow I can setup Lightroom 3.6 to edit in CS5 where all my Actions and Plug-In software is located.
I have CS6 installed on my Win 7 operating computer so Lightroom 3.6 automatically defers to CS6 which I have not setup and transfered my actions and plug-in.
If I export a photo, then make edits and want to save them, should I export them again? It looks like when I export a photo a 2nd time, then I get an additional photo on my hard drive. This is not really want I'm trying to do - I'm just trying to save it as an edited copy.
I think this contributed to some of the problems I was having with getting too many photos, then discarding the "extras" - that apparently was a bad, bad thing to do, but I'm still not quite sure how to handle this.
I can have one photo in multiple collections and edit them differently. Right now if I edit in one collection the photo will change in all the collections. For example I want a collection with just Black and White pictures, but I want to still have the same pictures in color in a different collection. This is in LR3.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I edit and save a file in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom. After I save and return to LR4.2 in Windows Explorer it puts the TIFF in the same directory next to the original RAW file as it should, however in the Library module it gets a different entry. So I end up with the same directory listing with the photocount 1 next to it. It also doesn't show up in the main directory where all the other files are, it's not next to the originel RAW.
I can do "show parent folder" until the point I get to the root directory which then gives me an error message which says.
I don´t know why, but suddenly there seems to be no way, I can get edit in PS with LR adjustments. There used to be an options box in LR when selecting "edit in Photoshop". Now I get no options, and my adjustments from LR does not show in PS. I have tried both the tiff and PSD setting in preferences/external editing, but no luck. I have also used the "Reset Warnings" in LR, hoping this would bring back the external edit dialog box, but no luck.
as I have a lot of urgent work to do, and I go back and forth between LR and PS a lot.
Mac OS 10.8.5
Photoshop CS6 13.0.5 x64
Camera Raw 8.2.094
Lightroom 5.2
It still errors out saying lightroom can't prepare the file, worked fine with all my random applications (Nik, Portraiture, etc.) in 3. Updated all I can figure to, reinstalled, used the CS Cleaner Tool, etc. No dice.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased Lightroom 4 and tried to edit in Elements 10. I got the same error message that has become popular on many forums. I purchased Lightroom 4 with the intent of editing in Elements so this is very frustrating. Also, what is RC2 that I have seen referred to on many posts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I decided I would try to use Lightroom to edit my latest photo shoot instead of Aperture just to test it out. If I imported all of my pictures as .CR2 files, are the photos I'm editing the RAW photos or the JPG photos? I do all of my shoots in RAW+JPG, and I don't know which files I'm editing in LR. In Aperture it's easy to tell because the RAW and JPG files show up separate but this isn't the case in LR. If I go into "Metadata" for the photos it lists the file name as "IMG_xxxx.CR2," but it also lists "JPG" under "Sidecar Files." I don't know if that means I'm editing the JPG or if that's just telling me that the JPG exists in the CR2 file.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am about to upgrade to LR 5. Currently I use LR4.4 which uses Camera RAW 7.4. LR5 uses Camera RAW 8.2. Will I be able to edit RAW files in LR5 and still continue to edit the resultant files in Photoshop CS5 without using a DNG conversion?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter deleting a Smart Collection in Lightroom 3.6, the option to Edit Collection that was previously in the context menu is gone. Double-clicking the Collection Name will not bring up the Edit Dialog either. I tried removing the preferences and letting Lightroom create a new one but that didn't fix it either. Not sure what else to try.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn addition to Lightroom 4.4, I have both Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop C6 on my main computer. When I am in lightroom and I want to export to HDR using photoshop Lightroom alwas defaults to Photoshop CS6. Is there any way to make lightroom default to Photoshop CS5 for HDR merging. Or is there any way to change the default to Lightroom CS5.
