Since downloaded an upgrade trial of LR5.2 (from LR4.3, I believe), the backslash key () is no longer showing me the 'before edits' version of my image. The word "Before" does appear in the top right hand corner, but no changes appear along with this. I am using an english version of LR, with an english keyboard. The shortcut used to work for me in LR4.3! And I used it all the time for toggling back and forth while editing.
I am using lightroom 4 on a Mac with a Microsoft Naturel keyboard, and I am having problems finding the "Backslash" key to toggle between the Before/After preview in the delveoper window. Im using a Danish language keyboard.
Using the backslash shortcut doen not switch between view image before/after in my Dutch version of Lightroom 5. My regional settings are dutch/belgium on a Windows 7
Since I installed LR 4.4 it seems that the before/after view in Develop is broken. no matter which history step I choose for before, I allways see the currently highlighted history step as before and after.
I have recently purchased canon 5d mk3 and have shot in both raw and jpg. On attempting to upload the images through lightroom 4 I get the message that no preview images are available.
I have done some heavy editing on my RAW file with numerous Adjustments Brushes and Spot Removals. Now that I'm done I want to try making a Black And White version using the standard B&W conversion in LR 5.3. Here comes the strange part....the area that I have done all the editing in remains in color while the rest of the shot gets converted to B&W. In other words, LR 5.3 fails to convert to B&W on heavily edited areas!? As you can see in the image the top left area is blue wihle the rest of the image has been converted.
I downloaded the trial version yesterday, but I am not able to use any presets, the default ones or some I downloaded. I put the mouse over them and the image in the navigation bar does not change, nor does the picture change if I click on them. How can I make them work?
sliders move but do not effect image, histogram moves and allowa image to be changed.I have lr5.2, MacBook Pro maverick. How do I get sliders to work again
I have recently installed Lightroom 4.3 on a MacPro, Mountain Lion, 8GB RAM, environment. I kept getting the following error when changing to the "Slideshow" module: 'An error occurred when attempting to change modules'. Application now works well under a new user name. However, I don't want to have to log in under this name every time I want to use Lightroom. How can I find out what's wrong with my own user profile?
I just switch from Lightrooom 2 to Lightroom 5 and also to Photoshop CS-5. When ever I work on an image in Lightroom 5 and make changes and enhancements and when completed, I transfer the images into Photoshop CS-5, my Lightroom 5 changes are NOT transferred into PhotoshopSC-5, why?
I had no trouble with Lightroom 2 to Photoshop 4 but now it is not working.
I'm running Lightroom 4 on a Mac OSX 10.6.8 and using Elements 10 as my external editor. When I right click and select EDIT IN and choose Elements, nothing happens. When setting up Elements as my editor for LR, I'm sure I chose the right folder for Elements. I also tried deleting and restoring the defaults and then setting up Elements again.
I recently bought the new Nikon D7100 and of course it is not supported yet by my Lightroom 3. I opened Lightroom 3 and clicked "Help", the clicked "check for updates" and it said there are no updates available for this software! Which is not true. Why do I have to manually go to Lightroom on-line to check for updates? Why doesn't checking for updates from inside Lightroom 3 work?
When I try to use the adjustment brush by selecting the brush, the sliders shown for the brush change the complete photograph, which I do not want it to do. When I use the brush it makes changes. But, if I make a slider change that I want for the brush it actually changes the complete photograph. It has worked properly in the past. I was able to make a slider change and it would only make changes to the area the brush selected.
We shooted tethered into LR 4.3 using EOS Utility. Every attempt to shoot tethered FROM LR 4.3 has met with failure. I reread all the threads concerning this issue and found none included a solution. Is there one or has this functionality been dismissed? LR 4.3 is running on Macs with OS 10.8.2 and 10.7.5.
What we are trying to do is shoot with 5D Mark IIs tethered with EOS Utility and 5D Mark IIIs tethered with Lightroom at the same time. We have not been succesful getting the Mark IIIs to tether at all. We are trying to avoid using Sneakerware through CF cards and readers. Workflow time is critical.
My Lightroom 5 has virtually stopped working. Starting around the time I installed the 5.3 upgrade, when I click on anything, the program is non- responsive literally for several minutes. sometimes as much as 15 minutes. For example, I'll click "Import", and have yo wait several minutes. Then when it finally responds, I select the folder on the hard drive that has the photos I want. Several more minutes, I select "Move", and wait several more minutes. The whole process for the simple thing I am trying to do can take a half hour.
I have rebooted my machine several times. I have restored the operating system to a time a week ago when I did not have these probalems. I have reverted back to 5.2. I re-installed 5.3.
My develop module is not fully opening. The only items it is allowing me to edit is lens profile correction, vignetting. How to restore the full develop module starting with temperature, contrast, blacks, whites, shadows, etc., all the way down the whole module.
I've read a few similiar discussion threads but none match exactly my prob.I have a collection (within a collection set) of items which have mixed photos that are flagged as picked and/or rated as 2 or 3 stars.
Invoking filters while in the collection - either flagged items or items >+ 2* don't work - it's not just flagged or rated items - no filtering seems to work on my collection.
Lots of other unusual behavior in collections that I can't detail right now, but something is defintely wrong.
When I travel, I need to be able to work on my photos in LR4 on my laptop (Mac) and then transfer back to my desktop when I get home. In Aperture this was simply a matter of copying the App Library back and forth.
My Lightroom 3 has just stopped working. It was version 3.6 and when I went to use it yesterday it just shutdown on me and threw me back to my desktop. I removed it and reinstalled it but the same thing happens.
Just downloaded LR4.1 trial version (upgrading from LR3 to work with raw Canon 5DM3 images) and am unable to use Develop mode. When I select a photo in Library and go to Develop it just says "no photo selected".
