InDesign :: White Default Background Color In PDF File?
Mar 27, 2014
When I export in indesign cs6 pdf file (I made a digital flipbook and I want to upload it on my website) there is a white default color in the background. Is there a way to get rid of this white default color or make it transparent in indesign?
The stroke only shows up when I save the file as a pdf as I zoom in the line gets smaller and smaller but never goes a away. In InDesign and on the PSD file the edges look fine just all white around the "horsefly"
Okay so I'm trying to take the white background off of a picture using the select a color on white, but it takes out a lot or the fur and eyes(it's a picture of a cartoon cat) How can I remove the areas of can from the selection without removing the pieces of cat too.
It's creative commons, so I guess I can post screen shots...
The cat is from [URL]...
A general idea of the selected area
What happens when I take out the selected area
So how can I take the pieces of the cat out of the selected area so when I try to delete the background I don't get an invisible cat?
The instructions say <<< In the Background panel, select the Background Color option and click the color swatch to choose the color. >>> But I can't seem to find any way of changing the background colour from the default, white. ! (I want black.)

In Max 2014 my files are opening with the gradient an the viewport background. How can i change that so the default is the solid color instead of the gradient?
The application background (the color that appears behind the image) should be set to grey, black or a custom color. No matter what is chosen, it is white when changing between images. I have to click on the background space to get it to change back to my selected color. If I again switch pictures, it is white again.
I am running CS5 in Windows 8. It was not an issue on my Windows 7 PC.
I was wondering how do I change the white background color to another color? I do enjoy using Paint.Net very much, it does suit my needs, in fact it's better than the windows paint program, far better!
I recently decided to use LR to catalog all my images (instead of Bridge). I love that PNG is now supported. Ran into one problem...all the snowflake and white frame images are viewed as a white rectangle due to the background white. I know Preview and other "viewers" don't have this issue. ACDSee has a setting to change the background. Can I do this in LR5? If not, is there a link where I can submit for a product enhancement to the Product Management team for a future release of LR?
When I make my text red (standard CMYK red) on a black background, it looks rasterized. (See image below)
I tried using different standard fonts, but result is the same. Aslo when I export it for high quality printing, the resulting pdf document also show the red text somewhat rasterized. (Does not appear smooth red).
I have Pro7 and I am trying to edit a graphic. I want to remove the background color (white), or pop out an image.
In my old program (not xara) I could just click on the area/color, it turn pink and then click finish it would erase. Is that possible with this program?
I have 1 picture with a blue background and a metal steel basin. I would like to remove the background and change the color to white.
Background is a material so it's not all perfectly the same color, very slight different shades of blue in the picture. The tutorials say outline it but this is a circular metal object. I tried using the circle tool but I can't get it exact and there seems to be no way to select a circle.
I just finsihed setting up this new computer. I reloaded AC 2012 LT. I need to reset my settings. I do not rmember how to change that black background to white.
I have 5 layers with white artwork and a black filled layer but make animation sees also the black background end up flashing on and off. Can one have a frame to stay under the animation and stay on at all times ?
Obviously if this was in Flash it would sit on a lower layer and exist for the entire duration of the animation, but I am hoping to avoid keep having to take artwork as png into p shop , create movie clip, etc etc then back to Photoshop to adjust artwork.
just downloaded Paint.net a week ago. I am trying to convert a color logo from it's original design to a white log over a solid background, like the image attached. I need the solid background separate from the logo so I can change the color.
I'm trying to update a part with different colors for various features. My color styles are not available in this file. I can export them from another file, then use the import function to bring it over, but there has to be a way to force this file to find the entire "default" color file.
When using the erasure or erasure background tools, it leaves a checkered background. How can I get the erasure tool to leave a white or color backround?
I'm new to PSE10 and can't figure out layers and/or color. I have a photo with a white background. I want to change the white to a color. I have 4 text layers on photo with no problem. How do I change the white?
