I'm trying to change the tabs on a paragraph of text but my tab window floats. I need it to be tied to the block of text. At the moment, if I move across the page, the tab window will no longer be above the text I'm trying to edit.

I am having issues with tabs lining up for a current menu project I am working on. Im using paragraph styles and character styles as well. All prices shown have the same styles and sould justify right,but there are odd gaps.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I am working with various pictures in PS, I have like 10 open and every time I go out of photoshop and come back, they have all closed down to the docking window. I have to re-open them again from there, I want to STOP THEM from closing when I go to desktop or somewhere else. I want them to stay afloat. I know I can click Ctrl + mouse and "restore all windows" but that is also a nuisance because it resized my PS window and I have to push up teh layers palette again.
View 18 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday, I copy/paste text from Word to x6 paragraph text box, save, all fine. But when I attempt to edit that text box, entire program crashes each time I try to save a change.
Sometimes I can make a single change -- add a return -- and save before crash. This is a nightmare. I've relied on Corel for years and suddenly a 5 minute job has become impossible to complete after a day and a half of frustration.
I'm using Win7. This problem started at about the time I added a logitech c920 webcam. The logitech software won't work at all with my system. Logitech says the wacom tablet is the problem.
I've uninstalled the logitech AND restored my system to pre-webcam condition (so they say) but the Corel text bug persists.
Illustrator CC, Mac OS 10.8.4 : When pasting text formatted with a Paragraph Style, the style drops off and the text converts to Myriad. I am copying and pasting from/into the same file - even into the same text box.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI converted a DXF file to a Corel Designer file. This DXF file also has some dimensions which turned into paragraph text. This paragraph text is turned by 90 degrees. The font size is rather small, so I increased it by some points. As the paragraph text frames were now too small, I tried to increase their size. However, the text frames always jump back to their original size.
I experimented a little bit and noticed that this is only, if the text is turned by 90 or 270 degrees. If the text frame is not turned or turned by 180 degrees, you can change the size of the text frame. Additionally this problem arises only, if the option "Expand and shrink paragraph text frames to fit text" is activated (in Tools | Options | Workspace | Text). Sometimes some text frames were adapted automatically, when I changed this option. However, I do not know when which text frame was changed.

I am creating a restaurant menu which has a lot of different sized text. Is there a way to mass change the sizes of the fonts all in one go?I'd like to be able to reduce all the lines by 1pt in one go, is there a way to do that?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have photoshop CS6 in a mac os x operative system and when i drag one image from the tabs to make it as a floating window in order to keep that image as a reference for the painting that i am working on, that floating window disappears behind my PS CS6 window like if it was part of another program when i click out of it, why is this happening.
I want to keep that floating window open all the time by the file that i working on.
I'm having a problem with my properties window or floating palette. When I select an object, such as a "line", my properties palette refreshes itself for about 3 seconds. When I hit esc, or deselect the line, it takes another 3 seconds to refresh itself. You can even see the properties palette start at the top and go blank as it travels downward. Very slow process, I can not get anything done. IF I close my properties palette, it does not have the delay, but I can not work without it. When I reboot, it works fine for about 5-6 selections, then jams back up.

1st Bug:Iam using a HP Z6100PS 60in plotter and when Iam using page setup to print something, it keeps using the default print size... For exemple :
Printer default print size : 24x60
I want to print a 80x60 but Photoshop send a 24x60 to the printer... even if I entered 80x60... And the bug is for any sizes...
2nd bug:My Windows 7 64bits Taskbar is at the top of my screen. All the documents iam opening in Photoshop are snapping to the top of the screen... super annoying. But when I place the Win Taskbar at the bottom of the screen, no more bug...
I could do this in earlier versions, but it doesn't seem to work in Photoshop CS-6. How do U reposition a floating dock in CS6 so it is anchored to the upper right edge of the window?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI must have hit some combination of keys which altered my interface because Autocad 2013 is acting slighly differently. I can no longer pick Dtext and change its contents directly but must go into the properties tab and change the text through the properties window. When I pick an object my layers scroll windo no longer identifies the objects layer. And when I right click an object I no longer have access to the same set of command that I used to. For example I used to be able to right click an XREF and have the command xclip available but that and other specific commands are no longer available. I am on a deadline and am not able to figure out what is causing this sudden unexpected change in the interface.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have never been able to use Full Screen Mode / Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar because my Window Tabs disappear.
Until now I have ignored this but I really want to start making the most of my screen space. I don't understand how people can go into full screen mode without tabs of their open documents. It makes the experience completely useless to me and I can't believe I can't find any solutions online. I feel like I am overlooking a simple button somewhere on the screen thinking "surely Adobe would include this!?"

I have updated my windows version of PE 9 to 9.03. However, when I want to move a selection from one pic to another, I need to open both, then go to Window-images-float all in window, and check that option. However, even after updating, the first 5 options in window-images are greyed out. How can I get them active?

I am working on creating various standard sized window elevations using dynamic blocks. Each window elevation needs to have text underneath it that tells you the unit size of the window. While I have successfully created all the various elevations using dynamic blocks I can't figure out how to make the text appear to change with the various window unit sizes. for instance I have a small window that has text underneath showing 1818 (18"wide x 18"high). I need text to change to say 1820, 1824, 1830, etc. I can get the 1818 text to stay centered under the elevation as the window gets wider/higher but that is it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently loaded AutoCAD Architecture 2008 and the menu tabs for File, Edit, Window etc were all missing. They are replaced with a tab that says M-Color 9.5. When i load the program with older files (from this morning) the menu tabs are there but then they disappear. How do i get them back?
Also in addition to that my toolbars are gone, but i can recover those when i have my tool bars.
I removed text from a rectangle and that message keep displaying in that rectangle.

I have drawn the shape, inserted the text as paragraph text, but the text always wants to sit straight. I am so frustrated as I can find a workaround in either Corel or Adobe CS products. I have tried using artistic text in Corel, but have to do it line by line - and this brings other problems, such as I cant justify each line with each other, and sometimes a character jumps up relative to the other characters and the entire paragraph does not taper in...so this is not a solution, apart from the fact it will take me FOREVER to insert line by line....I would like to treat the text as a multiple line paragraph, and follow the shape.
In the last 2 days Corel has decided to start changing Artistic Text to Paragraph Text when I copy & paste it across documents, completely changing the font, size & colour of what I am copying.
I've just done a factory reset & it's still doing it.
I don't recall doing anything that would change a setting.
The text I am copy & pasting are disclaimers that are all set on 1 document & I copy & paste them to a proof as needed.
I am creating a text document with Xara Xtreme Pro 9, and I noticed that I can insert groups into floating text. Great, I can use this for inserting Xara graphics, for example a chart!
However, editing a chart is a pain. When I double click on the group, then the surrounding text disappears, i.e. everything outside of the group. However, that is not sufficient. For example, I would like to be able to define horizontal guides that don't move (relative to the chart) when the chart's position changes relative to the page. Is that somehow possible?
As a workaround, I guess I could put the chart on a separate page at the end of the document, and then insert a live copy into the text.
When I copy properties from one paragraph frame to another, only font and its size is copied, not paragraph settings (spacing before/after paragraph, bullets, indentation etc.). I never had problems with this - it started a couple of days ago (the update??).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using CorelDraw X3 for a while now and whenever I have copied and pasted artistic text is has simply pasted over itself in the same place for me to move wherever I want to.
Yesterday I copied some artistic text and when I hit paste it pasted as paragraph text, in a different size and font and in the center of the page. Have I accidentally and unawares changed a setting?I know I can get around this by duplicating instead of pasting but it is frustrating as it is a feature I use constantly.
I am taking a pdf file into coreldraw home & student X6 to edit and change layout from landscape to portrait. When it opens the paragraphs are either objects or artistic text, so when adjusting the bounding box the text stretches instead of wrapping. I have tried both importing the file as well as opening it. What am I doing wrong?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a text editor window in Illustrator similar to Freehand? I want to be able to edit text without constantly having to zoom in so that I can see the text, then zoom out again to see the whole page.
In Freehand, you could select a Preference that would open a Text Editor window that was consistant in size no matter what the zoom level was. You could opt to show the text in 12pt Helvetica or in the actual font and size. This was enormously useful in organizing and shaping the size of the text.
In Illustrator CS6 - Cloud - there's an annoying box floating above my canvas in the upper left hand corner. It is a transparent fill with a black stroke and a dark outer glow.
I've tried turning off every palette and window view, yet it still appears "above" the canvas window. It goes away when the application loses focus but then returns after the application is brought to the foreground. This has to be a bug?

View 7 Replies View RelatedCan the "Basic Paragraph" style in Paragraph Styles be modified? How is this done?
I can bring up the Paragraph Styles Options diaglog by double clicking "Basic Paragraph" in the Paragraph Styles panel. I can also modify it, for example, by changing the font family. But when I click OK to save it, it creates a new style and leaves "Basic Paragraph" unchanged.
I know that the Basic Paragraph style can be modified in InDesign, but I don't see how to do it in Photoshop.
I know how to insert basic one line text but i dont know how to insert a large paragraph or a page of text?
