I am working on a banner in illustrator and have added 3 photos which I sized originally in photoshop, however I have placed them onto the banner and now need to resize which I have done, but they are now not evenly sized and on close up they are not in a straight line either. Is there a way to select all 3 for resizing and positioning purposes?
Im not even sure if Illustrator is the program or if i should use Indesign but im trying to create a single folded wedding invitation and be able to print on both sides. i want the invitation to be 14cm x 14cm and like i mentioned open up like a card and print on the front and on in the inside. Can you pleasssseeee direct me to some instructions or tell me which program would be best to do this. Im guessing that since its smaller than an A4 page size then i will need to cut it down after printing. To be able to do this do i need to make the canvas the size of a A4 page and then put my size of the invitation on this??
get a solution on compressing the pdf file which is created by illustrator. The case is, i got a pdf file and then i am using illustrator to edit it and then save as pdf.
After that, i found that the pdf file size is quiet large. Someone know how to make the file become smaller but not using those compress software such as winzip and etc.
I've recently picked up Illustrator CS5, when I save a file (or print) as a PostScript file. My aim is to convert the file to a PDF using Distiller and in the Print dialogue box, the PPD field in past versions says something along the lines of Adobe PDF 8.0. In CS5, I do not have the option to select that from the PPD drop down menu (Nor can I find the file to add to the list). Additionally, I can't make a 'custom sized pdf,' only preset paper sizes. I've had to resort to opening my files in CS3 to convert them to PostScript files. I forsee this becoming a problem once I start diving into some of Illustrator CS5's new features. Â I get the feeling the program didn't install with an Adobe PDF plug-in and I can't seem to find a substitute online that isn't from 1999 (!). Is there a way to get that plug-in file that my copy of CS3 is using into my CS5?
I have a designer that created this beautiful (but complicated) design in illustrator and now we're trying to get it exported to html. The thing is, most of the images that are in tds we want to be background images so that we can put stuff on top of it. So we need the exported html to generate the image size correctly. For example, I don't want
The problem is that illustrator for whatever reason is generating the images slightly too small (I guess to make the image size smaller?), then is stretching them using width and height attributes. As I'm sure you guys are aware of, the background attribute has no way of specifying a width and height.
I'm designing some screens for an retina display iPad and I just want the illustrator document on my 27" thunderbold monitor (at 109 ppi) to have the same physical dimensions as the physical iPad screen (7.75" x 5.81"). Maybe its so obvious that no one talks about how to do it. I do feel a little embarassed that I haven't figured this out.  Regardless of whenther I enter the doucment dimensions in inches or in pixels the resulting document is never the same pysicial size as the iPad's screen. And since Illustrator deals in vectors it doesn't have any notion of PPI that I can use to bring inches and pixels into alignement so that what I see on my monitor is the same physical size as what's in the iPad.  All i want is the AI document displayed on my monitor to be the exact same size as my iPad's screen.Â
When I have an PSD icon set and I want to size a layer to a size that looks good. How do I see the dimentions of that layer so that I can select another layer and make it the same size.
I have tried numerous times to make my paper size and actual plot size the same. My paper size is 24 x 36 but for some reason it rotates the paper and the output is 36 x 36, every time! When I look at it on the preview, it looks correct but then the paper comes out with a foot of paper at the top of the drawing. I've created new page sizes, etc.
lately I've been started working on Illustrator, since I've always loved the vector pen tool in Photoshop, but I've notice something...
let's say I want to work on an A4 page. I start a new PRINT document, and set the A4 size at 300 DPI. If I do that on Photoshop, I'll get a huge white page that at 100% goes way out my screen, but if I start a document with the same size in Illustrator, I get a page that's smaller than my screen (at 100%).
I guess it's normal because those programs might work in different ways, but I'm concerned about it because this way, in Illustrator a 1pt size brush will always be bigger than in Photoshop.
My Plugin does not use global suite references. Instead it acquires and releases suites as required. The problem is with the panel. I want to get the size of the panel when the size is changed (so I can change size of embedded wxpanel accordingly). To get the size, I need to acquire panel suite. However, the SetSizeChangedNotifyProc callback method only provides panelref and no message or anything else. How can I get the suite in this scenario? Â Also this piece of code to embed wxpanel inside aipanel, handle resize etc is going into a dll so that it can be used by multiple plugins. So I do not want to use global suite ptr.
I am not familiar with photoshop and thought it would be a snap to convert a picture from one size to another, but I can't figure out how to do it...I have an image that is currently 96 X 65 pixels and I wish to have it printed on canvas. The shop where I'm having it printed said it must be at least 500k in order to maintain the integrity of the picture...I havehow to do this, or if can even be done!!
I have CS5. The photos coming out of the camera are 300 dpi and approx 12.8" x 19.2". When I crop the photo to 300 dpi and 8x10 and send it to print, the printer says the photo is too small. It comes across as 72 dip and 8.333" x 6.667". I was expecting photos to come out of the camera with 72 dpi and a huge length x width. I can then crop and print without issue. Is there a photoshop setting that needs to be set? Is there a different work flow I need to use? I shoot with a 5D Mark III.Â
My photo files show in Windows Explorer as "400x400" but load onto photoshop project layers at wildly different pixel dimensions: 80x80 to 675x675; why don't they load at 400x400? (Win 7 64; CS6E)
I usually do photoshop work in an 800 x 600 pixel range. I tried to post a new picture on a website this morning and it came as a 171 x something , tiny little picture that could not be enlarged. How can I increase the size of my pictures? This is my first attempt using the Revel site.
I have some jpeg photos that need to go into PowerPoint presentation. The file size is 2 meg. How to get that down?Would the technique also applyto a pdf? It is 8 meg.
When I import, or drag and drop, photos they are reduced to 400x300 pixels even I chose "Import as original, which was 3445x2584. So, when export the image back as a JPG all I get is the reduced image. how can I keep my original image size?
I was able to batch process multiple files in PE8. Mainly I need to resize Hi-Res photos into web size, keeping the same file name. PE11 shows Batch Process in the file menu but it is grayed out. What can I do to activate that?
I would like to e-mail about 50 photos to someone. I can reduce the size of the photos in "Export," but even if I compress them into an archive file, the file is too big to send. I tried compressing just 10 photos at a time... the archive file is still too large to e-mail. Is there another way to e-mail large groups of photos from Lightroom? I have Lightroom 3.
I am printing a large amount of print packages for a Sports Club. The photos are not printing to the size request. 5x7's 8x10... Very frustrating. What am I missing? I am printing to a Epson Stylus Photo 1400 using Epson paper and ink.
How do I export photos and keep their original size. I do not have the Image Sizing checked but it seems to be resizing my photos anyway. It seems to have started this evening. I exported files fine at file sizes of ex: 5387 kb the original size. Not they are exporting at ex: 478 kb.
I have PaintShop Pro X3 and pretty much all the other programs. I scanned lots of photos (6*4) at a 300 dpi which works out at about 11 meg each photo (i think this was overkill!). However, when i created a slideshow these photos are shown as about one quarter sized. Is there any way i can correct this ? Should i for the future scan at a different dpi ? I want to view the images as a slideshow and am not interested in printing them.
I am trying to print multiple copies of a passport size photo on one sheet of paper. At the moment Elements organisor is only letting me print one copy per sheet of A4 paper, when I could fit in 20 copies on one page if I knew how. how to fit multiplee copies of a custom size image on one sheet?
How can Photoshop CS5 or CS5 be used to make calles of photos, say 6 per page?  Are there templates avaiable for drap and drop?  Can text be added?Â
I have some photos downloaded from some sites... my problem with some of them are small. I want to resize them with CS3 so that when opening them up it will open to the size of my screen just like other photo format u get from your digital camera... oh one thing i just need the real size regardless of any quality it may have affect when zooming it to bigger one.
I am trying to make a logo size of 1500 bye 400 when i go to colour it all in black its ok but when i add text its fine then when i go to add photos to it.keeps going on to double size page
I like to have more than 2 photos in the logo
Do I need to change settings as it was working fine for me before as am trying to make logos for my envision free board.
Is there an ability to archive photos from Lightroom 5 to reduce the size of your catalog? For example, if I have a wedding I shot where I have several hundred photos but I've delivered the final pictures to my client, should I/can I archive these photos out of Lightroom as I'll probably never look at them again but don't want to delete them just in case.Â
