Feb 23, 2013I was wondering how you might make a custom font fill I want to make a background come through like the american flag does on this image I want to update this logo/font to a higher res.

GIMP :: Fill Selected Background Area With Flame Fill Pattern

I used a heart fill pattern of the right 75% of the picture and the left 75% of the picture is selected overlapping the first fill in the background... I want to fill the selected background area with a flame fill pattern where it overlaps the selected portion of the heart pattern as well as the transparent area... 'overlay' looks better but Gimp is FAILING to fill the transparent areas, it ONLY fills the overlapped heart pattern portion of the selected content!!! I even tried filling the transparent area with 'white' then filling the selected area, but it STILL ONLY wants to overlay fill the heart pattern, it STILL leaves the rest alone!!! it doesn't matter if the background is white or transparent, it leaves that alone and ONLY fills the heart pattern area of selected portion of the image!!!

Jul 18, 2012Is there an option or a workaround that will eliminate the white boarders in a Corel trace? Whenever I do a trace, when I move the trace off the top of the original image, I see a white boarder around each color. Is there any way - when tracing - to tell Corel to use the fill color as the border color for each element of the trace?This would make the trace immediately usable without hand selecting each color cell.

Suddenly , it started making each tile on the large canvas a different color when I apply Fill>Pattern. At first I thought it was a tip or guide to see the repeat edges , but it shows up in print preview too. What did I do and how do I correct it?

Aug 6, 2006I was wondering how to create custom shapes with CS2. At the moment i'm dirtily drawing straight line angles freehand and they look terrible.
How would i, for example, cut the corners a square. Id use the rectangular marquee tool rotated 45 degrees and then cut off the corners like that. But it's not accurate at all and there's no shading to make the line look smooth.

Oct 5, 2012Basically what ive done, is taken a font ive found online and made quite a few changes to it by use of the paint brush, eraser and so on... now i want to save these changes and use this new "font" ive created, and use it in pictures and stuff.
what i would like to know, is how do i save the changes ive made? But i only want the words ive used. I dont want the black background i edited on. I would like to open the file, and just have the words i edited on the new background.

Photoshop :: Font Matching For Custom Logo
Mar 4, 2009I've just taken two decals off my mountain bike, not realizing that the frame had a lacquer coating on top of them. In case you're wondering why I did one and was then stupid enough to repeat my mistake, its one on either side of the frame .
I'm now been left with a large mark were there is no lacquer on either side. I've asked around and found that it can't be neatly covered without a complete respray. I have, however, found a local company who can make custom decals to put over it if I provide them with a design. So I've obtained a copy of Photoshop CS3 and tried to make my name in a similar font to the large manufacturer decal (which is still on the frame). I'm trying to get Chris on one side and Walker on the other with the same dimensions.

Nov 20, 2012We have a 3rd party developing some marketing drawings for us and they are using a font that does not come with AutoCAD OOTB. When we couldn't see the text because of this "unknown" font, they sent us zip file with all the "Gotham-*.otf" files to load on our computers. My concern is probably obvious, that any customer of ours who downloads these drawings from our website will have the same problem with missing fonts. I suppose they could use the substitute font but then we would have no control over what they see.

In my assembly, click "Place From Content Center"
Find "Parker Hydraulic Hose"
When I right click on it, the only selection is "Add to Favorites"
Double click on "Parker Hydraulic Hose"
Go to "Table View" tab
Right click on a row, but there is no "Input" selection.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 :: Custom Font Lists?
Sep 11, 2011Any way to make a custom font menu in coreldraw. By that I mean a shorter font menu that doesnt have all the fonts available on the computer. Ny work PC probably has 2000 or so fonts on it. I really only use 10 or so on a regular basis. It would be awesome if I could have my own custom font list that I could load, and still be able to get to the complete list somehow if I need it. Maybe something like a folder in the font menu?

Mar 7, 2012I'm running on a fairly new Dell Studio laptop computer with Windows 7 Pro as the OS.The font was installed using the normal install font directions.
As stated above the font works fine in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Word.It shows as installed in Corel Draw font menu but will not print when trying to type, the curser just blinks.
I also have 2 desktop computers running Windows XP Pro OS where the font works perfectly in all programs.
Photoshop :: Logo Design Using Picture And Custom Font
Mar 21, 2006I want to create a logo. The word I am creating is going to be Foxx. I want the backside of the F to have a fox's head coming out of it. I want the appearance of the Fox's had to be growing from the back side of the F. I am capable of pulling this off. I am more interested in the techniques that some of you would use to acheive this task.
1.What I would do is find a picture of a fox's face in this case a profile shot.
2.I'd then import that pic and extract the head from the fox (only in the picture PETA )
3.I'd then use my combination of the pen tool, shape tool, and direct selection tool to trace the fox's face.
4.Finally I'd design the F to match the fox's face.
I do not have Illustrator.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Unable To Emboss Stretched Text With Custom Font?
Sep 6, 2013I am engraving a company logo on to the outside of a round tube with a custom font. There are two boxes of text that I am engraving. The first box works just fine with the "Emboss" tool. The second line works fine when the "% Stretch" parameter in the text edit window is left at 100%. When I change the "% Stretch" to 85%, I get the "Self-intersecting loop found in this profile" error message. I get this error message when I try stretching it to 115% as well. I changed the font to a standard font and I was able to emboss the text no matter the "% Stretch" value.
The bottom line is Inventor will not emboss text that has a custom font and a modified stretch percentage. This line of text must be stretched to match the company logo.

Jan 13, 2014I've created a complicated polygon (hundreds of nodes) with the Paths Tool and am trying to fill it. When I select the Bucket Fill Tool, I get a tiny little error message at the bottom that reads: "Cannot modify the pixels of layer groups". Now then, I do have a Layer Group in the Layers tab to collect text items, but this is a Path in the Paths tab (which I thought was separate).
I have tried switching the path from Stroke to Selection, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
In the past, I've used Fireworks (mainly), Photoshop, and Illustrator with varying degrees of success.
