I would like to be able to hide an object within a layer while I'm testing to see if I like it there or not. However, there doesn't seem to be a "eye" icon to do this for objects - only at the layer level. Is there a way to hide an object "within" a layer?
I have a script that runs through multiple modifiers (extrude, Quadify mesh, and Turbo Smooth) on multiple spline objects and I would like to hide these modifiers when I send the file to a friend. In my current script, I convert each object to an editable mesh, which does the trick, but it drastically increases the size of the file.
Is there a more efficient and size saving way to disguise or hide these modifiers in my script?
Is there any way to hide an object for just one frame of animation? Actually, I want to hide it for several-- I'm doing renderings for a game, and at one point I want to render the character's hands without the object he's holding.
But when I hide an object, it hides everywhen. How can I say "this object doesn't appear between frames 17-30?"
I have a 3D model and I have made some views. I put my dimentions on view. For now its OK.Then, I want to change something in my 3D model, and I am using "hide objects" and "unisolate objects" tasks, while doing my changes. In this example I did not change anything, just went to model space, selected all objects and did tasks "hide objects" and then "unisolate objects". Then, when I go back to my layout, all dimentions are wrong. Nothing was changed, but "hide objects" and "unisolate objects" tasks ruined the annotative dimensions.
Does any version of Photoshop Elements or Photoshop support a feature that would let me hide a selected region by blending in the colors and textures around that object?
Traditionally, people will copy and paste parts of a photo on either side of an object that they want to hide, but this usually results in a discrete line in the area of the object and close inspection usually shows the object was covered. I read somewhere that some version of Photoshop has a feature that would try to blend in the surroundings to remove the selected object, which results in a slightly more professional result.
I would like to create a printable document that would allow a text message to be hidden by a red textured top layer until viewed with "decoder" red glasses. Any help in creating this or pointing me in the direction of a sample that could be broken down and the hidden text edited would be appreciated.
Just as of today, as I begin adding objects &/or text to a graphic, absolutely nothing is 'showing up' in the Object Manager under Layer 1. It seems like always in the past, whenever I added a shape or text or curve or anything, a new line would be added under whatever Layer I was working in, detailing the object's properties.
Is there some simple config-setting that I tripped without knowing it?
I used CorelDraw X4 to Open several 48 page PDFs (File, Open, open the PDF.) The PDFs consist of 6 images per page in a grid - no text, nothing fancy. Everything works great, except that in the CDR files that were originally created by openening the PDFs if I drag one of the original photos or any object that I've drawn in CorelDraw on one of the pages to the desktop, it doesn't move to the desktop layer as I'm used to but instead stays on the page layer for the individual page it was dragged from and thus is only visible when the original page is up even though it's outside the page area unless I manually change its layer (I ususually use the desktop as a quick way to move objects between pages faster than using the clipboard.)
This is probably something silly, a setting that I've never used -- how to make it so any object dragged off the page to the desktop area is moved from Page 1 Layer 1 for example to the Desktop Layer so it's visible to all pages, and can then be dragged form the Desktop to Page 2 Layer 1 for example.
If I drag an effect from the target circle of one object to anther in the layer's panel it replaces the effect along with all appearance. But I want just to add the effect. For example, a layer has a drop shadow and a path, round corners. I want to move the drop shadow from the layer to the path so that the path now has the round corners and the drop shadow. To do this I have to open the shadow effect of the layer wright down its parameters, then create a shadow effect for the path with the same parameters which is a lot of work.
We like to put our dimension lines in CorelDraw 5 on separate layers from the objects being dimensioned. This way we can turn the dimensions ON/OFF depending on our needs. Unfortunately, we find that the dimensions for these objects do not move with the objects on the other layer. We have also found that certain edit operations seem to break the link between the objects on one layer and their dimensions on another layer.
How we can maintain our dimension lines on one layer, the objects on another, and prevent the problems described above?
I need to hide the dotted boxes that are now showing in X3 around all paragraph text on maybe 1000 business slides I created 5 to 10 years ago and now want to update.
Changing to artistic text does make the dotted boxes go away but is there a master setting that would make them go away in paragraph text?
Five to ten years ago I created maybe 1000 busness slides in CorelDraw and then moved their images to Powerpoint. Versions used were 11 and X3.
Now when I want to dust them all off and freshen them I find dotted boxes around .
lisp..It work fine but just that i need some minor modificatio to it...At moment, when i activate the lisp, it will automatic select all dimension, leader and multileader to a layer call "DIMENSION"...Anyway i wonder if it is possible to prevent any dimension, leader or multileader in layer "Section" will not be change to layer "Dimension"?
Resizing objects is a mess in CorelDRAW X6 when objects are outlined with Scale With Object enabled to retain proportions after resizing.
None of the tools dealing with outlines (e.g. Contour or even Outline itself) continue to work properly after resizing the object.
I strongly suggest to recalculate outline property values after resizing if Scale With Object is checked. Don't just do it hidden somewhere internally in the object model by applying a temporary scaling factor. Instead actually recalculate the actual property values if Scale With Object is checked.
CorelDRAW Graphic Suite X6.4 @ Windows 7/Windows 8 - 64 Bit, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012
have to select an object under an artistic media brush object. i try hold down alt key when select the object under the artistic media object but it select the second object
Is there a way to exclude single attributes from being defined in a object style? As example: i want to define an outline that does not change width of the objects, but everything else.
There is a small tick box right of every attribute with help text "None this object attribute is not defined by a custom style" but i can not mark it. My feeling is, that i need to switch on this tick box to get the result i need, but i can not. When i click on it, it just gives me a greyed out "Revert". When i try to make child styles, there is a way to break the connection to parent style with these tick boxes, but no luck.
Trim the master object and the cloned object gets deleted. The master object cannot be directly trimmed, so I grouped it with another object, which seems to enable the shaping tools. check if this behavior exists in X5 also.
I have inserted a clip about the problem. Maybe other users and the Corel staff will check it out.
Occassionally the object properties in my object manager will dissappear and I am unable to bring them back. I have tried toggling all the buttons on the manager, restarting corel, resetting corel to it's default settings and restarting my computer but nothing will bring back the properties. It does not happen on every single file but it happens often enough to be a pain. I have attached a picture of what the object manager looks like.
After I import different files in my working file, it's getting hard to work- RAM(16GB) is getting completely full and its almost unworkable! I checked out Object Manager and found stack with "SVG data" and "Locked SVG data" object there under some basic shapes.
Stack is about from 10000 to 100000... Some times even more, but its not possible to select all them because Corel just stops. What is that- "SVG data" and "Locked SVG data" object and why they are so many there?
It involves right clicking on an object in Corel Draw X6. I had this same issue in X5 too.
My issue is that if I select an object and then right click on that object (I right click on the "X" in the middle of the selected object) it will select the object below the "X." In other words, I can only ever get the right click menu to appear on the object I select if there are no objects below it.
I need to find a way to cut the shape of one object out of another object. In the above photo I need to be able to print the black crosses without the printer printing the white ink under them (you can see where the black ink is not adhering to the white ink very well).
1. find the attached “Rays on Oval.png” file. (Tried attaching .cdr file but the File Size is 400KB.)
2. I would like to Repeat / Duplicate that Black Color on Outer Path of Oval Shape. (Like shown in the Yellow versus Black. The Yellow is a Circle and the Black is from Star Tool)
3. I think the Best Bet would be to Link the Rays to the Outer Path of Oval Shape.
4. I need the Rays and Oval as 2 Different Objects so that I could Change the Color Scheme.
how do i move the object i selected with magic wand to another layer in a different page like i tried but when i tried it didn't let me instead it didn't even move the other layer look for yourself.

I tried doing the same thing this guy did in this video

Skip the video all the way to 1:25 where he moves the object.
I'm currently working on a mock up for a product design, a box container to be precise,And I want one smart object layer to cover both the front and the side, so you can seamlessly design the front and side of the box.
Sadly I haven't found a good way to do this, thought i would be able to with warp but I can't get straight corners with it,
I am running a batch file with a specific action. It has been working fine up until today. I receive the error "The object "layer "add snap"" is not currently available."
How do i copy and move objects from one layer to another?
I have been copying the objects to a new location in the old layer, then move the objects to the new layer, then move the objects back to the original location in the old layer, but this is obviouly an ad hoc solution.
In past versions of PS I've been able to select the object in a layer by hitting control and clicking on the layer. I would get the marching ants and then could use that selection by creating a new layer for it and then manipulate it as I desire. Now it looks like the stroke causes linking to turn on and off.
I very much liked being able to select the object in a layer and used it quite often in my designing. I still want to use it, but how? Does anyone know if this function has been preserved and how do I access it?
I am using AutoCAD 2008 and I have a layer that contains no objects which I cannot delete. If I try I am told there are objects on the layer but I cannot find any at all. I have turned off all other layers to try to find the object I need to delete but there is none. How to manage to get rid of the layer.
