I am creating a brochure for my company using X4. The brochure is 8 1/2 by 11 and the color goes all the way to the edges. When I print I get a 1/4 border all around the brochure. I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of it.
View 7 RepliesI have made a new layer in my brochure document and have set the swatch fill to black with 30% opacity and a red stroke, yet as soon as click on the document with my blob brush, the fill menu gets a red line (no fill) and I get a red dot which is the stroke?

I am trying to setup an 8.5 X11 sheet on landscape to do a brochure but I cannot add any bleed lines on user defined presets.
When I go to layout>page setup>guidelines>presets>user defined presets. It only gives me the options for margins and # of columns and the distance apart.....but no bleed area
The only way I can add bleed to the layout is when I go to layout>page setup>size (bleed .125")>guidelines>presets>corel presets> check three column newsletter and check bleed area. But then I cannot adjust the distance apart during setup.
How to recover a brochure that I created. Now I can view it in the preview but whenever I try and open the file it stops about 30% - 40% through opening and then crashes Corel and shuts the program down. Now I have tried to import the file as well but the same thing happens. I don't want to have to redraw the entire brochure. The file is about 186MB.

I just got a contract to design a brochure. Haven't done that many before. I need to create a pack shell. In essence two A4 sheets with a spine and on the inside two flaps (left and right) in which material can be slid in. Thing is I don't know how to go about representing the flaps so that a printer would be able to work off my designs.

Now these web sites are in 72dpi, but i need them to be put on a brochure that is 300dpi.
Will i have to re-create them again to a res of 300dpi, or are there any other tricks i can use with the 72dpi images that will acheive good results.?

we use CorelDraw for all our design and day-to-day artwork requirements, and for preparing artwork for our laser engraving machinery. We have recently upgraded to X6 and have found problems exporting to .plt.
First we noticed that a page border surrounding artwork, where we use the page border for positioning, and the art to engrave, the page border would export, but anything inside it would not. So we tried all the obvious workarounds - grouping etc, but found that the only way to get it all across was to combine the artwork.
Now we are noting that anywhere there is artwork surrounded by a closed curve - eg a rectangular block with a phone number reversed out - the art that is surrounded (eg the phone number) will not export if un-grouped or grouped, it has to be combined into one object.
The paragraph text always shows a black dashed border (or red, when part of the text is not shown). Sometimes it is very difficult to evaluate a design/layout, when the borders are shown. So I searched an option to hide this border, but did not find any. How to hide this border?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using Photopaint 12 for years. This seems like it should be very simple to do, but I've never found a really quick way.
All I want to do is put a single colour 1 or 2 pixel border around a load of images. I don't mind if it is inside or outside the existing image size (the choice would be nice).
I know I can simply draw an unfilled rectangle, but it's easy to drag the shape outside the edges of the image, or to end up a few pixels in, and it's quite time consuming doing it manually.
I have opened an image that was created with adobe illustrator. In this image there is a white border around the page. This causes that when i place an object on the edge of the page I only see the part of the object that is on the page. I like this very much.
But when I start a new project, the white border isn't there. How i can switch this ting on?
