View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a 900 x 500 px image in Adobe Illustrator, which overlaps a bit the canvas on the left side.
When I open this file with Corel, it adjusts my graphics so that it's centered on the screen. The AI file is centered on another point. Also, the canvas Corel creates is A4 sized. I always have to resize the canvas and then manually adjust the position of my graphics.
Question: How can I save an AI file so that when I open it at Corel, the position and size of the canvas will be exactly the same?
I have just upgraded to Draw X6 and am having a problem importing multichannel photoshop .dcs or Illustrator .eps (with placed bitmap) files. When importing, the graphic appears upside down. Other oddities in this situation:
-This only happens to rastered images, not vector.
-If I try to flip it right-side-up the image goes blank as if it didn't get a screen refresh. But remains blank even with a manual refresh or zooming in/out, etc.
-In wireframe view it looks correct.
-It prints correctly also
Luckily, I can print the file correctly.
CorelDraw X6 - v16.1.0.843 32 bit
Windows 7 Home Premium - current update 32 bit
i'm work in society who make flags, and we use CVC Pantone of Coreldraw graphics X4.
Now we bought the new version (X5) and it's not the same parameters of colors.
For example :
X4
Pantone 485 CVC
C : 0 / M : 100 / Y: 91 / B : 0
X5
Pantone 485 CVC
C : 0 / M : 93 / Y : 100 / B : 1
How can i import the old parameters of X4 to X5.
Is there anyway to import or edit .dgn files in CorelDraw X3 ?
View 2 Replies View Related I recently started working with X5 and am having a few issues with the importing of palettes.I have created a couple of very large swatch palettes (about 1044 colors) in Photoshop CS4 and Illustrator CS4 that I would like to not have recreate in X5 (each swatch is custom named).
The photoshop swatch palette is saved as an .ACO file. I am able to open the .ACO palette in X5, however, the CMYK values do not match, and the custom name does not transfer.
-As an example, my custom black swatch in the .ACO file is called A1 and its CMYK value is 60, 49, 47, 100. However, when opened in X5 it is only identified by its CMYK value, which has changed to 29, 22, 29, 30 (which is more of a semi-dark grey than a black). In fact, all of the colors look as if they have been desaturated by 50-75% (that's a huge guesstimate on my part).
After struggling with my .ACO palette I thought I would try to import my .AI file.
X5 gives the option to open a palette that was created in Illustrator if the palette itself is saved as an .AI (which can be done directly from the swatch menu in AI. I have tried opening my .AI palette in X5- it allows me to chose the file, however, nothing happens.
I have encountered an error when I imported a prn file to coreldraw x4 in win7.
after i choose that the file be imported as curve this error is showing :
Error: definefont
OFFENDING COMMAND: defineresource
STACK:

/TT15ET00
-dictionary-
This may be a silly question but I cannot find where to import all my custom keyboard shortcuts from X5. Is this doable?

I tried changing the Color Management Settings to Minimal Color Management which is suppose to preserve the original color when opening, importing, and pasting, but that doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View Related we are developing a Website where users can design individual labels and other print materials. Server-sided "PDFlib" creates the PDF files. We would like to import these PDF's into Corel X6.
File: [URL]........
Created with: PDFlib Personalization Server 8.0.4p2 (PHP5/Linux-X86_64)
PDF-Version: 1.6
Compression: FlateDecode/
Fonts: no fonts embedded
In the pdf are vector objects, graphics and text
I can open the PDF easily with Adobe Illustrator, Reader, Adobe Acrobat X Pro and other software.
But if I try to import the PDF into Corel: "Corrupt file"

View 2 Replies View RelatedI import dxf file created in CadKey or SolidWorks. I have done this thousands of times but all of a sudden they do not import in the correct orientation x/y plane. They appear to be importing on the edge. I have gone back to old dxf files that have worked perfectly in the past and they no longer import correctly.
Have I, unknowingly, changed some setting on Corel that effects the import of dxf files?
I'm trying to import into Coreldraw X3 files which were emailed to me by an Adobe CS4 user:
[URL]
(they are attached via a wetransfer link because as I found out the file size limit here is 256k and I cannot compress the files down to that size.) After reading several of the threads here, I'm not any smarter. I've tried various settings to import the .pdf, and regardless of which option I choose, I get a file corrupted error - it looks like the pdf version output to from Illustrator is flat out not supported by coreldraw. it opens fine in foxit reader, which tells me it's pdf 1.5 version.the .eps imports as a group of 542 objects but I cannot see any of these objects in the Object Manager docker.
How can i open drawings i made using autoCAD with CorelDRAW? But with keeping the same scale of my original drawings.
By the way i am new to AutoCAD and CorelDRAW
I have PDF map created with latest PDF Creator. Originally it was made with GIS software Geo Media Professional (v6). Document looks good while previewing with Reader. When importing to Photoshop CS5 - looks good to (but raster). But when I'm trying to import it to CorelDrawX5 strange things happens:
Import takes a lot of time After hitting [Enter] file (group name.pdf) origin is about 5000mm;6400mm (width 45720mm, height 45720mm) - so it is definitely far from any page and much much bigger than original - in this case original was 2500mm width and 1067mm height landscape prepared to print on HP DesignJet 800PS 42'' roll hitting F4 - max range warning appears. I was trying to move group somewhere in visible work area using X,Y - strange results - negative position appears after hitting Enter
In CorelDRAW X4 I didn't get such "feature". There is no additional font embedded in document (ARIAL, HELVETICA).
bought a stockphoto EPS and it looks corrupt when i open it. i see there is a code page select option which seems to affect the graphic, but still much corruption when imported.

View 5 Replies View Relatedif I create a new document, say A4, and then import a TIFF photo to that document, the photo appears much larger than my background A4 document. So, do I edit my photo and then export it as a TIFF again, or should I resize my background document from A4 to match the size of my photo before exporting? What I'm asking is that I don't want to lose the original size of my TIFF image, so when I export my image will CD save the TIFF image in it's original size or resize it to that of my created A4 document?
View 1 Replies View RelatedCorelDrawX6 user reporting that she imports a PDF file into CorelDrawX6 (Windows 7 pro, 64-bit system, version is X6 with update 2 and Hot patch applied, Windows OS is fully updated). Taking a pdf file scaling up to full scale, she is not getting the correct measurements. She tested it to see if the same thing happened on another user's computer that is XP Pro XP3 with CorelDraw X5 and it does not have the same issue.
So it may be in CorelDraw X6 (she moved to X6 recently). Also, she said it does not happen consistently. Yesterday this was a problem, today with the same file it appears to be OK.
When I try to import from My Documents, the drop down file format on the right no longer has "ALL FILES" as an option. Therefore, I am unable to import photos, logos, etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLooks like X6 carries over a X5 bug for bitmap import. When importing bitmaps it ignores the dpi metadata and assumes 72 dpi so bitmaps do not retain their correct dimensions. To properly scale a 300 dpi image, for instance, I need to select it and scale it to 72/300*100.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOne of my customers has come to me with a job of engraving and cutting out personalised seat name tags for large football/soccer stadiums upto 75,000 tags. This will envolve engraving seat numbers and details in to a sheet of acrylic 600mm x 600mm in size (each tag is 80mm x 40mm so approx 78 per sheet)
Whilst I can design the template or drawing quite easliy, I can't seem to get the data from the .csv file (each tag will have 3 records in it. SEAT NUMBER, NAME, MESSAGE) in to just one page / template. when I use the print merge function all I can seem to produce is 78 pages of one seat tag each.
I'm sure there must be a way of producing the 78 tag template so I can just import the relivant data, but I'll be a monkeys uncle if I can find it....
