Have a drawing that opens without errors, but when i save the same drawing using "DWG to PDF" the pdf saves and then the pdf opens and states "cannot find or create the font ArialMT some characters may not display or print correctly" and it is corrupted.
Can i replace the missing font in Autocad before plotting it to a pdf to get around

For example, the document I'm working with contains CourierStd and CourierStd-Bold which are not installed on my system. I would like to set Illustrator so that any time a document that contains these fonts is opened, Courier New and Courier New Bold are substituted automatically.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to Autocad LT 2012 I have had difficultly printing from autocad to my plotter. Drawings plot with information missing - in model space and paper space. The lines/polylines are not on hidden layers and all show fine in the plot preview. The parts which are missing/do not print are not consistent either - parts of polylines/objects which makes me think it isnt to do with my line type either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn hiden lines configuration, when I am plotting my drawing, the tangent lines of 3D cylinders (this is a pipes drawing) are missing. I have tried many options to solve that problem: paper plot , pdf plot, high pdf resolution plot, small size drawing plot, changed the thickness of the lines, change the color of the lines, plot with other computers... I did not find any solution and I have to send my drawings to a customer. In any configurations, the lines appears but others disappears. Even in the preview plot, lines are missing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have noticed when using Arial.TTF (Client Required) that when plotting hard copies out, we have discovered that the width of the text line is different than it shows in Autocad. We have done several troubleshooting tests, and are convinced it has something to do with it being a TTF font and different drivers or devices scale the fonts differently. I have scoured the net, but cannot find discussion on this issue.
We have tried:
Plot Style Tables - No effect
Various plotters - Same issue, but different degrees of width change
re-creating drawings - no effect
AutoCAD version - no effect
I have attached a sample file that we have used to test this issue - incase it might have an issue in the file it's self.
To see the biggest difference plot to fit a D+ size using Extents vs Window around the Text only.
I am using autocad 2013 on Mac and plotting to hp designjet 510. Lines are always missing when I print especially medium to thin lines or hidden lines or for example hatch tile lines. I use the plotter also on a pc and there are no problems at all. I changed the thickness of my lines in ctb and still have lines missing. I change percision to 1 and same thing. If I print draft, normal or best I still have problems. I know how to spool and use in built memory on pc but can not find something similar on the mac and dont know if that will work, as i printed same drawings from pc. It seems that when there are close lines together or dense lines in an area, it just skips them.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue plotting or exporting a dwg to pdf. When I have a dwg with a linked excel table and want to plot a layout, everything plots except the excel table. I'm running LT 2012, windows 7 pro (64-bit). I send the same file over to a friend running LT 2011 an he adjust the viewport boundaries slightly and he encounters no problem either plotting or exporting to pdf. I've tried the same with no success. My Adobe Reader is up to date as well.

One of the designers at our office has problems with what I believe is a missing font. We tried to reinstall Inventor but it did not solve the problem. Then we reinstalled the entire machine but the problem came back.What is the name of the font used in Inventors menus?

Am publishing dwgs / saving as .pdfs / Preview looks good, but when I plot, one line of text appears as series of dots and the error msg from Adobe is close to "Cannot find ArialMT font, some text may not format or print correctly...."
My co-workers have no problem publishing these same dwgs from their workstations, however. Also, there are several text objects / boxes in the dwg, and they all print fine 'except' for the one.
Restarting etc., doesn't make any difference. Neither does plotting in Preview or Draft and so on.
is there a way to suppress the "missing shape file"-message.
I believe there was a checkbox to check this every time you open a drawing. I must have checked it, and now autocad always asks for it.
I have recently installed Civil 3D 2013 and was configuring my options to how I have done so for the last few year and when I tried to change the message window font from the default Courier new to Courier I could not find said font. How to get this font or if it has been removed from 2013?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using Extensis Suitcase Fusion 4 trial, and it ended, but when it did now because I can't use it, somehow it must have removed or just had de-activated the photoshop internal system font. All of my panels and menus etc except for the top windows-menus lists, but everything else is missing - blank. I can't do anything in photoshop practically speaking. Cannot see any layer names etc... normal type-tool and fonts loaded show up, but nothing in the program itself. So I can't even enter numerical values for anything. Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, Muse, Bridge, Premiere, After Effects - -- all of these are working just fine.... what is the specific font I need to re-install for Photoshop to display? It is the same font that starts listing when you open the program on the splash logo where it is saying "loading fonts" etc and all that stuff, its just blank..

I went to a download site [URL] and downloaded a Font called BETSY FLANAGAN which appears to be the font I need.

I have linotype and i often type things in and scroll thru to see what font looks best. However, There are are a lot of fonts that are not available to PS cs5. Some of these fonts have Adobe at the design of their manes. They did not exist previous to me installing PS so i figure these are specifically made by Adobe fonts.
So why are these fonts not available in PS? Do i need a better font manager?
I have both Photoshop CS3 and CS5 installed on a Windows 7 64-bit system. Photoshop CS5 has two Helvetica fonts: one TrueType and one Type 1. The TT version only offers italic and bold italic styles. The T1 font offers the full suite of bold, italic, bold italic (or oblique), and medium (or regular). This seems odd, but it's sufficient. Photoshop CS3, on the same computer, only offers me the Helvetica TT font, with just the two styles mentioned above. Why can't CS3 see the T1 Helvetica? Why does the TT Helvetica only show me two styles? In case it's relevant, I believe the Type 1 version is the only one I deliberately installed, and I recently upgraded to a 2010 version of the font made available by Adobe.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've designed a simple graphic in X6 and printed directly to Roland ecosol printer. My black text doesn't show up on the print. I've spent a few hours and a lot of paper trying to figure this out.
The black text that isn't showing up is designed to be on top of a yellow box. When I print as intended, the text doesn't show. However, when I move the text off the box, it is printed and visible. Is it a document setup, color management, or print settings issue? Or none of the above?

I reinstalled font (font name is green on my system) and says it is installed but does not appear in c/window/fonts folder. I restarted my pc after I reinstalled font. What is happening? I went on typekit since I am a cloud subscriber and it does not appear there. THis is their corporate font and it worked before.

I've been trying to edit a certain Corel Draw document. At first it told me I was missing a font. So I closed the Corel Draw and installed the missing font.
But now its not showing the new font in the document. I see the new font in the control panel. And i can type a new text box. But I have 60 pages or so and I dont want to retype all these text boxes.

CGSX5 on i3 PC, Win 7, 6G RAM.
The version that came with X4 worked in XP, but when I upgraded to Windows 7 it wouldn't install Type 1 fonts, and it wouldn't install any missing fonts when a file loaded. I buy Font Expert, though I never got it to work as well as the old FN.
But my new (trial) version of X5 has a version of the utility (v. 6.0.0, build 108) that seems to work just fine both ways. Thats a wonderful. When did this happen? There's a noticeable difference in the versions, according to xplorer2. X4's version:

I can no longer load X4's version; only v. 6.0.0 comes up, so I can't compare. But FN now works properly in X4, too, so Corel must have done something to address this. Cool.
