no matter what font do I choose and export my work to PDF and try to open it with latest Adobe Reader I get this messege "Cannot find or creat the font "font name" .... " . I use autocad 2011.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a pdf produced using dwgtopdf I get a warning from Adobe Acrobat that it "cannot find or create the font 'Arial-Black'. Some characters may not display or print correctly".
Looked at the files present within the template when I go to e-transmit and inded, there is no sign of that font, but the title block displays perfectly well.
Checked my fonts folder in control panel and while there is an 'Arial Black', there is no 'Arial-Black'.
Is this a problem within ACAD or Adobe Acrobat. The problem has only appeared over the last few weeks.
I am cleaning up our company standart blocks and there is a font I want purged/deleted, but I keep getting the message that the font is in use.
I have checked the dimension styles, the multileader styles and cannot find it.
Is there a way to find out where it is being used?
I am working on a Global Company Civil 3D template. We had about 10 people initially working on creating it and now I am cleaning it up.
Unfortunately we have a Text Style being used somewhere within our template that we want to get rid of.
Are there any tools or methods to be able to find this Text Style?

I have 26000 mtext that has overridden font inside the property. set to bold and print out look like crap.

I think I have seen an post on the forums about a website where you can upload an image and it will give you a list of possible fonts that are in the uploaded image. I can't find it now.

However, when I go to use this font in Xara Photo & Graphic Designer, it only shows one of the weight (Lavanderia Delicate). I can't find the other 2 fonts in the list anywhere. why the program is not displaying all the fonts in this family? I really need to get a project done quickly that requires one of the weights not displaying.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently updating a LOT, and I mean A LOT of old forms, I have to replace the old Helvetica fonts for a new set we bought recently, and I realised that the Find Font dialog box is no longer "extensible". Is this now a "normal" behavior for Illustrator? Is there a workaround, or a preference somewhere I missed?
If this is a choice from the developers, let me say that removing features IS NOT a good way to go!In the meantime I'll revert to CS5 for that particular batch..If CC is going the same way I.E. removing features instead of improving old ones I'll pass..
Is there a way to 1: Find all instances of a font i.e. Arial in a PSD and change all of those instances to another font i.e. Arial Unicode MS without having to select each individual text box or character that has that font? Maybe a script or a plugin? I am using PS CS 5.5.1 - CS 6.

Edit/ Preferences states that the fonts are to be found in the following directories:
C:UsersHubert.gimp-2.8fonts
C:Program FilesGIMP 2sharegimp2.0fonts (note the '2.0')
The first one is empty, and the second one does not exist.
This problem has been mentioned on the internet, but no answer has yet been stated.
I don't know how to populate those spaces with fonts that can be used by Gimp.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis didn't used to happen, but now whenever I open an Illustrator file, the "Find Font" dialog opens as though the fonts I'm using aren't found. Not sure what it wants me to do because no matter what I try nothing resolves. I simply click the "Done" button and go about my business. And there are no problems. Why is this happening? and why now? My fonts are always loaded before I open the file, the file looks and handles just fine.

I have this text on a notepad and I want to make the same design in Corel Draw X6.
I have a few question. Which is the font used there? I tried looking through all the fonts in Corel and noone was the same. Sites like Whatthefont won't answer me correctly because the letters have white line inside.
My second question is this: I need to make the same design, so the white line should be in the letters. How to make that? Is this a font property or do I need to make it by hand? If it isn't a font property, how can I make it?

I have been using a macro to create PDFs from inventor drawings with the translator for many years now, I started in a new company and it is creating invalid PDF files. So when I try to create the PDF manually by clicking on Save copy As, I am getting this error :

As you can see the font has no name so I can't install any missing font. I found out that this error occurs only in drawings created from the company template wich I believe was created years ago. If I use any other template from inventor everything is ok.

I have created a script file to change some drawing settings. If it's possible to create a button to find the script file and run it. I am running it now by typing SCR then searching for it and selecting open.
I would like to give it to others to use and thought if I can create a one button pick it would be easier for others.
In 2008, one could create some Mtext using a type font named ISOCPEUR and type of line of text. One could then go to the Express Tools/text/explode text function. That would explode the text and one could then manipulate it so that one had a bunch of letters that were polylines. One could then extrude the polylines and either add or subtract them from a solid and create either recessed or proud lettering on a part. That meant you could mark a casting or a molded part just like in the real world.
But in the fully advanced, super dooper, state-of-the-art, fantasmagorical (sp) AutoCAD 2013, if one goes to Express Tools and selects the explode function, the command TXTEXP is not recognized as a valid command.

I'm trying to insert the "greater than or equal" symbol in an MTEXT box. Normally, I just grab the old trusty Character Map utility in Windows to find my symbol and copy/paste into the bext box. The funny thing this time is that it forces the font to be Arial (I'm using Simplex on all my MTEXT objects). Here's something else strange: If I change the font in Character Map to Simplex, there ISN'T a greater than or equal symbol but there IS a less than or equal symbol!
So the next thing I tried was a straight Unicode entry in MTEXT. I first tried "U+2264" for less than or equal and got my nice, simplex symbol but entering "U+2265" still forces an Arial font! Is this simply the way it is or am I missing something here?
I want to create a table with all characters inside a font.I used "%%" to change a number to it's character.but "%%" limited to 999 and for numbers bigger than 999 it doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am creating a layout in Illustrator 13.0.2 on a Mac and trying to use the Eurostile font I purchased at the Adobe font store. When using this font "Create Outlines" is greyed out and nothing I've tried has changed this. However, when I change the font "Create Outlines" returns to a viable selection. This leads me to believe the problem lies with the font. Embedding for this font is listed as "Preview & Print" at the Adobe store - it would seem this should be sufficient. I'm certainly no Illustrator expert but there isn't anything unusual about this document.
