Aug 13, 2012I am looking for assitance with the VB code to change the text style within a custom table when it is created from a VB standalone program. I am using Inventor 2013 and VB 2010 Express.
I have a customtable that is created within a .idw, and I would like to have the data cells set to "Table_Cells" style that I have created. I cannot find anything in the help file with a sample code to build off.
I figure it's got to be something with oCustomTable.DataTextStyle but beyond that I am lost.This is what I have, and VB is kicking it back in my face.

Error 2 'Public ReadOnly Property StyleType As Inventor.StyleTypeEnum' has no parameters and its return type cannot be indexed.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Adding Plot Style Table Search Path
Mar 25, 2010We have a person in the office that would like to create their own .ctb file that we would like to have them to access but they will also need to access our .ctb files (Standard). We currently restrict access to the .ctb files as they can be alterered leading to problems for everyone printing. Is there a way to create another path so they we can have a locked folder of .ctb files and an unlocked folder for .ctb files.

Jul 17, 2013I am trying to set up a standard text style converter for multiple companies (32 in all). All are using the same style names, but they change the fonts for their preferences.
What I am trying to do is come up with a tool pallete / tool bar macro to change all styles in a drawing to the new fonts they choose.
Here is my string: ^C^C-STYLE;TITLE-1;COMIC SANS MS;;;;;;;
What am I missing so the spaces in the font name are not read as ENTER in the command? I have tried <font here>, 'font here', "font here", <font here>, (font here)
If there is an easier way other than copy and paste into a new template with them defined.
AutoCad 2D :: Multileader Not Sustaining Annotative Style From Tool Palette
Sep 24, 2012Multileader Style that is Annotative, and once it gets drag/dropped on a Tool Palette, the Annotative aspect of the style no longer is enabled when it's activated through the Tool Palette on a fresh drawing? I've looked through all the System Variables related to the Annotative family (that I can think of) and still I'm not seeing the results that I want.
I can insert these into our Client Specific Template for our internal stuff, but we kick off new jobs all the time by producing a quick "test fit" for our client.
These Tool Palettes are networked on an enterprise level so it would be a real bummer if we can't get it to work.
AutoCad :: Load Custom Tool Palette First?
Feb 6, 2012I have created a custom office standards tool palette for the users, and it is properly loaded on all the machines. The issue is that when the 'Tools' button on the ribbon is pressed, it loads to the 'design tools' palette by default. Most user here have the habit of closing the tool menu after use, and reopening it from the menu - which defaults back to the design tools palette instead of the office standards... which is frustrating when jumping back and forth constantly. I assumed there was an easy way to tell them to set the 'standards' as the default, but I can't seem to find this property anywhere.

May 31, 2013I recently got a new drafting job for a chemical plant. The issue that I am having is that they are using AutoCAD 2004. That version came out when I was a freshman in high school and I am lost. I am trying to insert the custom blocks that pertain to our design standards, but I am getting nowhere.
I have the blocks in a separate folder. I am getting to the customize tool palette option, but every time I try and import these files the folders show up empty. Admittedly, I am not the greatest with the complexities of AutoCAD because I picked it up on the job and never had any "official" training; however, it has also been two years since I've had to do this and I am a little rusty... I'd like to think it's just that because they are using decade old software.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Can't Remove Legend Font Style Or Table Style?
Nov 5, 2009There is a font and table style called "Legend" that is automatically generating and can not be purged.
I have looked through all the start up files, all the lisp files and can't find anything that would be creating them!
They appear in any file I open, new or old and even if I open a template file.
I have attached a file that should be empty but you will (or should) see both a font and table style called "Legend".
(FYI I am running AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 as AutoCAD 2010)

AutoCad 2D :: Adding Dynamic Block To Palette?
Jun 12, 2012I am creating dynamic blocks but having a hard time adding them to a pallette correctly. In my block folders from which I create my pallettes all the blocks there are separate exploded drawings which ACAD turns into a block when you input them into your drawing via a pallette. The trouble is that when I save my dynamic blocks in this folder I'm saving it as an already blocked drawing, I assume this is the problem as I have to explode it each time I insert it. Is there way to avoid having to explode each time I insert?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Missing Plot Style Table
Feb 6, 2012Here's my problem: I have a customized plot style table "SK.ctb". I have it saved both in the appropriate folders on my computer and in a shared folder on the network. Usually when I am working in a file and open the plot window, my plot table is available in the list at the upper right "Plot style table (pen assignments)".
Right now I am working in a drawing that was sent to me by another firm. They of course didn't send me their pen assignment tables, not that I really care as I would rather edit the layer colors if necessary, but use my own. The problem is that in the plot window it is only showing their plot styles - none of mine! Theirs are all listed as missing, but I can't get it to even look for the plot tables I usually use.

AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Modify Datalinked Table Style
Mar 2, 2012Using Civil 3D release 2102 on a 64bit Win7 capable Dell Precision, everything up to date.
I have a table created from a datalink using TABLE command. I want to have it use a fill color of 255 in order to mask the objects behind it. I cannot seem to modify the table style, and using fill in Excel doesn't seem to the affect Autocad table.
As you know, when I create a table from a datalink I am not allowed to choose which style.
I don't like using wipeouts to provide a background mask, because they never seem to work when plotting from paper space.
How I can apply fill to the table, or otherwise mask the pbjects behind the table?

Dec 28, 2012I have set up a table style to display the type of structure, top of casting, and invert in and out elevations. I have also added a column to display the depth (rim to sump height). When the structure is a headwall, no depth is needed; however, the table displays this data as "???". Is there a way to only show depths greater than zero within the table editor for rim to sump height?
