AutoCad 2D :: Lines (angled) Move On Zoom In But Remain Static If Selected?

I have just been doing some work for a company and they were using AutoCAD 2009.
One of my tasks involved stretching and moving items from imported drawings over Architectural layouts. Lines drawn on the x and y axis were fine. However, if I zoomed in on angled lines they moved out of view making them difficult to select or position to a snap point. If I selected those lines then they remained in place when I zoomed in.
When I approached the company manager he replied by saying that he would zoom in then zoom out to the point where the lines were correct and in place. I thought that he was either joking or was testing me! It meant I could not do any detailed work - which contradicts the use of Auto CAD.
The question has to consider the fact that the lines were angled and that they remained static when selected. When zooming in and selecting them they were off and running out of the screen view. also note that my colleague at the next desk opened up the file on V2008 and he could zoom in okay. I was also using a wide screen if this matters.
I am having is that when I have a shape layer with multiple shapes and I group that layer with other layers, transforming the group gives unexpected results. Currently what is happening is that all none shape layers are getting transformed uniformly and shape layers only transform uniformly shapes that are selected with the path selection tool. Previously transforming a group ignored shapes that had been selected using the path selection tool and transformed the entire group uniformly.
So for instance I create a shape layer with 3 ellipses and I select one ellipse to work on. After I create three other layers while working and I put all four layers into a group. I transform the group and what happens is that everything in the group except for 2 ellipses are now being transformed.
What is the easiest way to add a radius to two lines that for an obtuse angle? Example: I want to add a 1" Radius to two lines that are at 156 degrees.
I've recently had to export DWG files to PDF and the lines print in black whether they are angled/curved or straight. The problem I'm experiencing is that a number of objects that have been rotated at an angle or lines that are curved appear dark grey on the screen in PDF format. I'm using the DWG to PDF. pc3 with monochrome setting selected. I've checked the Plot Style Table Editor and all colours have been selected to print 'black'; greyscale is 'off' and screening is at 100%. Is this a 'bug' or is there a fix for this problem?

Debian updated GIMP this morning (2.8.2) and I notice that after cropping an image, the crop lines remain on the picture. Is this a bug or a "feature" ?
i am designing a site and i want it to be straight lines instead of curves anyway it seems when draw the lines to the angle that i want they go grey and look rubbish (bitmappy).
Anyway i was wondering if somebody can please tell me how to make the lines smooth at any angle and also how to get them to stay at the orginal colour.
how to make 45 degree angle lines that I want to embed into my background. Well thats easy enough. But I need to make them so that they are seamless so that if a browser window is 600 or 6000 wide the lines will still fill the whole page on the background colour.
I have selected several lines (not pl or spl), just lines, all of which are the same layer and such. I want to be able to select all thirty or forty of the lines using either the select similar (lisp, AC2010) or quick select and return a total length of all of the selected lines. In the properties box it shows as varies.

One feature I liked from Microstation is the ability to select and open an external DGN reference, and then match the view of the parent DGN, called the "EXCHANGE" command. In AutoCAD, you can also select and open an xref, but the DWG opens to the previous saved view, and not to the desired view that matches the layout.
My thought was to experiment with lisp or script and export the "Viewctr", "Viewtwist" and "Viewsize" variables to a text file, then importing the text file and using the "Viewtwist" as my "SNAPANG" value, then "Viewctr" as my "ZOOM, CENTER" value, and finally the "Viewsize" as the "Enter magnification or height:" value.
But, alas, I have no time, and not quite the knowledge to duplicate MicroStation's open-xref-and-zoom-to-view feature. I hesitate using the REFEDIT, which works fine for regular AutoCAD, but not so much for Civil 3D and the objects it creates (labels and other items with data shortcuts).
1) How do I get the ucs Icon (X,Y axis) to not move when I zoom in and out. I want it to be stationary in the bottom left corner as I'm used to seeing it.
2) For some reason I cannot peform the simple task of drawing a line by picking a point and then entering a distance. Ever since I've been drafting with cad I have been able to type "line" in the command line and then am asked to "specify first point" (I do so), and am asked to "specify second point" (which I do). Normally I do this in ortho mode (0, 90, 180 etc.) For example, using 25', I lead the cursor to the right as my "second point", and the line normally shows up 25' to the right. This is not happening now for some reason. After I specify my second point as 25', the command linen states, "point or option keyword required" and does not draw the line. I'm sure the solution is an easy one but I've never seen this happen before.
Is there any way in Illustrator to zoom to selected object (I want to maximize the selected object to the window)? There is the FitArtboard and the FitAll, but a ZoomToSelected.

I have a picture of a cabin on a lake, I want to use this as the flash intro for a website. I would like a mist to cover the picture and then float away, and the water in the lake to "shimmer" or make it look as if it is "moving"...kind of like you were looking at a video clip, not a static picture.
Is this something I would do in any of the creative suite programs? or studio 8 programs? or is it something completely different.
I have tried using the hot grips selection by holding shift, but some of the grips are overlapping and I can only select the top most grip. It is also a slow process because I must click each individual grip that I want to move as a whole. Is there a way of selecting multiple grips at once including grips that are beneath others?
I Posted This problem twice but it doesn't showed in the forum. I don't know why, whatever, My problem is making Array with a circle and a line[same as to radius]. When i use array between them to create 9 more lines, some lines are becomes bigger then the original line. why this happen? I attach a file to be understand clearly. Zoom the intersection point of lines and the circle.
Im trying to move the picture around when i zoom in, in photoshop cs4 but it wont let me. I was tought to hold the spacebar and left click down to move the picture around and it worked on my old computer befor it crashed, then I got a new computer and reinstalled photoshop cs4 and now when i hold the spacebar and click and drag it doesn't move the picture to the spot i want to edit so im having to retouch without being able to zoom in on the area.
I need a program to move some selected text to a line something like as extend command but for text objects!
suppose that there is a horizental line (y=constant) or vertical line (x=constant) and some selected text(or other objects), I want a lisp program that move these selected text (or objects) by their "insertion point" to this line.
in other word, if the selected base line is horizental (y=constant) then property of "Y" of all selected text should change to line's "Y"; and if selected base line is vertical (x=constant) then value of "X" of all selected text should match to line's "X" value.

Having an issue where in a part model with the view set to "wireframe with hidden edges" the edges and hidden edges disappear when you try to zoom in on the part. Actually not working with "wireframe and visible edges only" at any zoom level either.
The edges are there and I know that there are features that should be showing up as hidden.
Running Quadro FX 3800 with the most current drivers, and I only noticed this when switching to IV 2014.
Also running IV Build 222 SP 1
This is making designing very hard as I can't tell anymore where there are instances of features interfering with each other.

Is there way that within a drawing view, hidden lines can be shown for only some of the parts of an assembly, rather than just being a global toggle setting for the whole view? I know that it is possible to hide individual lines, but It would be good to be able to do this on a part basis, as some drawings can have thousands of hidden lines that would need to be selected and turned off.
I'm having trouble with the "extend" function on AutoCAD 2012 (windows). Randomly, the "extend" function will delete the lines I select. I sometimes will have to undo and re-input "extend" three to four times for it work properly.
