I have a simple multi value list variable, but when I try to get the data from the list it loops through the first text in the list return each letter in the word. Example: If the first text in the multivalue list variable is "Hello" when looping through the list I get "H' then "e" then "l" and it never goes to the second item in the list.

However when using the "Anodized Black" appearance, I get a speckled surface when using ray trace, and the part looks like galvanized steel.
I've uploaded an Inventor project into my cloud account. When the drawing is exported from Inventor DWG to DWF, there are strange circles showing up on the base view.

Working on a simple cylinder with a coil runing around the outside of it. For some reason the mesh does not handel the geometry correctlly - can figure our why - any thoguths ? Attaced are pics from the meshing and the model.

Also I seem to have some ghost projections of assembly parts when I do the assembly tutorials.
Like holes and wire frames on strange places on my screen.
I have to zoom in and out randomly and wish for it to go away at some point..

We're using AutoCAD 2010 and the viewport shad plot setting is set to hidden.
I have made a few blocks that contain a few attributes. I have populated the Tag, Prompt, and Value for each block. When I insert the block the value seems to take on a life of its own and populate with text different than what I have entered.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use iLogic Design Copy to copy an assembly and all its associated parts to another directory. The assembly contains content center parts. Inventor warns me that the destination file of one of the CC parts (and 18 others) will be overwritten. When I go ahead and copy anyway, the copying process stops at that specific CC part. The Design Copy Progress dialog box states there is an error copying that CC part. When I close the Design Copy Progress dialog box, Inventor crashes.
The error copying the CC part: I'm allowed to use content center parts in iLogic Design Copied stuff, right? I searched some related topics and I'm under the impression that Inventor keeps the CC parts in its own directory and shouldn't be trying to overwrite them.
I use this all the time. Today out pf the blue, whenI click save for web, it trys to force me to into using gifs and slices....
Any ideas on how to get this back to 'normal'?
Alien's Eye Candy is messing with me. When clicking on any effect, the sub window appears with the effect applied, but all the adjustment sliders read "0". If I adjust any of the sliders, the effect goes away, and I have to exit back to PS. Code:
View 3 Replies View Relatedpress i or select the eye dropper tool, the colour you pick becomes the foreground colour. You can also press alt to select the colour for the background. However somehow this action has been reversed and now i have to press alt to select the foreground colour.
Really annoying as it slows down my workflow when painting. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this, there doesn't seem to be anything in the prefs dealing with this. Also reinstalled ps a week ago which fixed it, but has now happened again!

I am doing a tie rod the issue I have is when the length is between 2.001 and 2.250 we would drill thru all but only tap the ends .750 deep. If the part is 2.000 would would drill and tap thru in one step and not have to rotate the part in the lathe.
How do I get ilogic to understand if my number is between this 2.001 and 2.250 to lengthen the drill length parameter?Or add a mid plane cut? ( trying now code below reflects this try)
Not sure what way I want yet but I just can't seem to find a snippet or code to do this. I tried to add a list in the parameters for it to read but seems to do nothing.

All the tools on my toolbar are working/acting as the eraser tool, ie. attempting to crop erases, using the type tool erases. I've reset the tools and tool presets but the issue still stands. I am not in quick mask, the issue starts immediately when I open Photoshop.
when I changed the brush size and paint it looks bigger/smaller but the cursor itself stays the same width other times as the brush got bigger the circle got bigger now its not so its hard to see where the brush will end up. any idea how I can changed this back ? I already went to preferences and and saw that its in set right just not showing .
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was in the middle of creating something when the text tool stopped working. I will type something and it won't show up but in the layer tool box the name of the layer will change to what I typed. I've tried playing with everything, it doesn't have anything to do with the formatting of the text (font size, spacing, color etc) and it isn't hidden behind any layers or anything.
Closing/restarting doesn't work either and it does this on every new/old image I try to open/create. I haven't changed any settings or anything and I can't figure out why it randomly stopped working.
When importing MXF files they are all playing/acting like one clip. When playing in the preview or dragging to timeline.

This att. doc shows rule for exporting dxf out of drawing. It is working on one sheet just perfect. In multi sheets it save allways with same name. I want to choose from which sheet i need dxf but to be saved by sheet name or model properti name. Is that possible?

I would like to merge all the DWF drawings of the sub assemblies and component parts into the DWF of the main assembly. Is there a method within DWFAddIn that will allow me to merge the files? Is there another way that I can merge the DWF files using the same ilogic rule (one rule to create and merge all DWF's together?)

I´ve found some iLogic code to print a drawing to a PDF document. After some minor modifications it works just fine, but I would like to add some code which allows med to set PDF properties (such as "title", "author", etc.) with values from iProperties. How can I do that? Is it possible? (I'm new to iLogic).
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use simple set of iLogic rules to manage product configuration through the assembly LOD. Assembly is really simple not more then 30-50 parts. Still I manage to crush Inventor fairly often. Some days 5 and more crashes! Several times sent crash report to AutoDesk for no joy. Never got any feedback.
I am just getting an impression that Inventor does not like LOD manipulated with iLogic for some or the other reason.
I am slowly learning about ilogic, and have created parts and assemblies that are run by rules. My next question is, what exactly can ilogic do for drawings? I've looked at the wikihelp, but I am not a natural at programming and I need more than a list of functions with brief descriptions to get me started.

I have been unable to find any code to sort the BOM, there are lots of snippets to sort and modify the Parts list.

I made a 3D model with ilogic to control features to be suppressed or compressed. Because there are lot of features need to do so (need almost 4 to 5 min.) , when I run the rules, it came "Rule timeout" issue as pictures.
I used:
Feature.IsActive (myFeature) = status
to control the feature be suppressed or unsuppressed .
I'm trying to get started with iLogic, but I have no coding background and no VBA experience in Inventor, so I'm looking for a good site or resource that explains iLogic and gives working examples.
