Is there a way to remove the background mask from one label that has a style that calls for a mask? The way I've handled it was to create a Child of that style that has no mask.
View 6 RepliesI wish i could plot label styles (pipe network labels, point labels, etc.) that contain background mask with the line merge setting ON. Mleaders with background mask plot fine with line merge on, but any intelligent object style containing a background mask will not 'mask' when plotting with line merge on.

I have no problems creating contour labels for my surface (whether using single, multiple, or multiple at interval options). I have set my contour labeling defaults to not display the contour label line, as well as set Label Mask Type to Contour Line Only. Under contour label style under Layout>Border>Background Mask, this is set to True.

I have some sample lines that will be plotted on top of an aerial photo, and the black box background looks terrible. I'd like to turn it off. I found the contour label background fine and I switched those to False without much of a problem, but I can't seem to locate the ones for the sample lines.

I'm fairly new to C3D and im having a few teething problems with section view display
1 - How to I remove the bottom label on the vertical axis (label 25.00 on the image below).
2 - How can I get only the start and end labels offset away from the line?
3 - Can I change the size of this title (SCALE 1:200) to be different from the CHAINAGE 10.00m title?
4 - My band sets are labeling grade breaks every 2m. Why does my grade breaks show at 2.24m/5.44m etc I would expect this to be 2/4/6/8/10/12/14m or is there a way I can change this so that they only label to major grade changes (i.e. the bottom of slopes).
The label associated to a grading point when is moved when is moved changes its size automatically and a leader appears. After this happen no control over the grading point and its associate label. refer to the image below.

I attempt to savecurrentmaptoautocad thinking that the Text Mask will come across as a HATCH Patterm but nothing is coming across when I open the DWG file. I have been through all the options to try and get the mask to appear in the new DWG file to no avail
View 6 Replies View RelatedC3D 2013. We have profile line labels, some of which get manually edited (for example, change the "<[Tangent grade(FP|P2|RN|AP|GC|UN|SD|OF)]>" to a static number such as 0.29%).
However, if you CTRL+Click and select one of these labels and change the style of that one label, then the manual edits are lost and the label reverts back to the default string.
Is there any way to turn this behavior off?
Is there a way to "Edit Label Text" in a Parcel area label? Similar to the way you can edit it in other styles.

how to manipulate the size of the wipeout for a text mask.
Simply selecting the masked text in C3D 2011 provided pick boxes at the four corners of the wipeout, making it very easy to manipulate the size of the wipeout box. I'm hoping to do the same in C3D 2012, but the wipeout seems to be treated like a block and lacks the pick boxes.A system variable maybe?
My boss wants everything plotted with lines merge, however, all of my parcel labels will not plot with the text masked. The mask plots fine when it is set to lines overwrite.

How to remove the view label text which is attached to a detail boundary? I know that if you double click ont he etxt you can manually delete it from the format text window but I want edit the default setting so that it doesnt appear on creation.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI keep getting the words "Label Text" being placed at 0,0 every time I insert a profile view into my drawing. Is there a simple way to change something in the settings to either not display this at all or sontrol how/where it is displayed? It is annoying when you do a zoom extents being you now get 2 small dots on screen, 1 being the actualy drawing at the correct utm cooridnates and the other being this piece of text down at 0,0.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have applied a client's style to the alignment to show PI's. In this case we have 2 alignments close to each other (NB & SB of road). PI's close to each other will then overlap. What I would like to do is apply a style that will have the line and text go exactly in the opposite direction. I am trying to avoid dragging the text as that seems to bring up several more issues. I am looking for whatwhere to change within the style editor to make this happen.

For example, I'd like to be able to pick on the node of a feature line or 3D polyline (or any object really) and have a label placed that displays the elevation of the object at the point where it was picked. This could appear similar to the surface spot elevation label, but instead of getting it's elevation from a surface, it would come from the object where picked.
Alternatively, any way to create a label style, perhaps using the Note label, to display something like this? I don't even care if it is dynamic or not, static would be fine. However, I do need it to scale innovatively . Tool Pac has a feature that does this, but the label is just a polyline and text that is not annotative.

The City of Dallas wants the lable to call out the Offset distance and direction over the elevation (example "30.0' LT."). Since zero has not offset direction the label reads "0.0' T." at the center point. Is there a way to include an if/then statement in the label style to remove the hard coded text?
