As seen in the attachments, I am trying to crop an image. When I do, a black portion of the old photo still remains. This is for some pamphlets and having this black region around the photo looks odd. How to get rid of these black regions around a photo after cropping?
View 2 RepliesI have a Mac, OSX 10.8.2, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Photoshop CS5. My crop tool worked for years, then all of a sudden when I crop a photo, hit return, the image goes black. I even reinstalled the application.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working on a project where some of the corridors require different daylight slopes. I need to transition between a region with 2:1 slope to a 10:1 slope. My local civ3d support said something about using grading tools to achive that.
What I understood was that my assemblies should not have any daylight sub-assembly and that i should grade the corridor and than add a transition zone between the different gradings. Did I understand correctly?
My road corridor regions can't be stretched using the region grips when 'geometry locking' is on, grip stretch works when i change the locking option to 'station locking', but it used to work fine also with geometry locking on.. It has happened somehow to all my files, so it seems to be caused by some application setting, the corridor regions can be stretched from grips fine on other pc's. (C3d 2013)
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am working on some car parks and am using corridors. There are some area's that consist of seperate regions to tie up corner areas and junctions etc.
I am using link codes to create hatch and would like to use non-solid hatch. But the hatch does not appear to line up properly between regions, as shown on the attached image.

I have 5 intersections in a drawing and i try to update all the intersections regions one after the other with "Update Regions and Rebuild Corridor". The problem is that sending up to date some intersections send other intersections (previously updated) out of date. So i cannot have all my intersections updated. The only way i found to correct this is to "Update regions automatically". but this way i cannot make changes to regions manually.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA digi image, cropped (crop tool), resized (resample), and saved (save as). Everything on 'default' (usual settings for this) or as I would like. Close and re-open, the image shows as the cropped image, but the thumbnail is the original.
I bought a new camera card today, having run out of settings to try. Took a pic, copied over, and it cropped and saved fine. So I went back to those taken yesterday, still full image thumbnail. Took new ones on new card, but full image thumbnails. Recropped the original photo that saved earlier today with cropped thumbnail - the full image is now in its thumbnail.
I am currently trying to combine a color photo frame with a black and white image, but every time I open the frame in "open as layers" the frame turns to black and white as well as the photo. I have no problem when using color photos. Is there a way that I can do this so that my photo frame remains it's original color with the black and white photo inside.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI decided to try at making myself a 3d D20 in AutoCAD 2013 and have run into MANY problems. I have slowly chipped away at them, but I still have one issue, I am having issues turning my 20 regions (faces) into one solid.
Picture below showing the 'shell' made out of regions on the right.
I use Autocad map 3d 2011 to make maps and plans of the city.
Using stylization of lines we have many possibilities, we can do multilines, change thickness etc.
But I can't find how to modificate hatch styles in regions.
Is there any possibility to change scale, thickness of hatch? I am talking about FDO connection.
For example I need to use hatch ANSI 31 o 32, but when I print my map, is almost invisible (attachment).
Is there any possibility to creat and load my own hatch using FDO?
I did some hatches from lines (hatch extruded and exportet as shp) and it gives me possibility to modity hatch as a multiline (as green hatch in attachment). But it has to be any easier way.
What do I do? Everytime I am working in Photoshop my screen flashes black, and the entire image goes black.

System: Dell vostro 200, 2.20GHz Duo, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD (mostly free), Intel G33/G31 Express 128.
ERROR:
No error message displayed
ISSUE:
When cropping a photo, the crop tool highlights the photo correctly, but when the crop is activated it resized the photo to about 1 pixel, no matter how large or small the selection crop was.
Actions took:
I fully installed all the updates, when unsuccessful, I repaired the installation, when that was unsuccessful, I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled Photoshop.
1) Click and hold the rectangule tool until other options appear. Select Rounded Rectangle Tool (or, alternatively, just click this in the options area for the shape tool.
2) Select "make work path" in the options for this tool.
3) Try drawing a rectangle. If you want a wider arc, increase the radius in the options.
4) When you're happy with the radius, draw a rectangle from picture corner to corner. Press space when you are making the rectangle to move it about...
5) Go to Paths (a Tab that's default location is behind Layers on the Layers Palette). Ctrl-Left click the workpath.
6) Select, Inverse (Ctrl-Shift-I)
7) Make a new layer and fill with white (Edit>Fill, or Shift-Backspace).
8) Delete the work path.
However I am not sure how to now crop the photo out of the white surrounding area. Also how do I then apply a thin border to the edges of the photo like a stroke?
I have a photo that I need to change /cut/crop/delete? the bottom right corner so that it curved - other corners can stay at right angle
I am using web designer 6 - can send .xar file if necessary - but would prefer to know what tools to use to get this done the photo sits on 2 rectangles with rounded corners (back- purple, foreground is white) so the photo needs to have the same curve as the rectangles.
How to crop a photo to remove the background? Or do I need to go through several of the general tutorials before I can follow a tutorial on cropping?
I found a bunch of cropping tutorials on YouTube, but they used a lot of advanced (to me) terms and seemed focused on difficult situations.
I have 30-40 photos that are of wooden figures cut on a band saw. They do not have highly irregular edges like hair or fuzz.
I am hoping for a tool that can automatically follow the outline and then let me make any minor adjustments that may be needed.
