AutoCAD 2010 :: Inserting Blocks Into Mtext Editor

Is there a way to insert CAD blocks into the Multiline text editor, much like you are able to insert a block into a Table.
I am asking for the sole purpose of Plan Notes. When we lay out Plan Notes originally we place the note bubble next to the line of text it represents. When we have to come back at a later time and edit the mtext, sometimes add a line our users are in a rush and forget to re-align the note bubbles with the text. If there was a way to insert the block into the text editor and have it still be able to edit it.
Is this a feature in 2013?

If it is possible to change the default font used when inserting a symbol in mtext. e.g. the centerline symbol.
At the moment the font used is isocpeur and I would like it to be Romans.

Is there a setting somewhere that keeps the Mtext Editor in the same place? I believe in previous versions if you specified "OldEditor" it would keep the editing box at the same size and same location that you specified. In ACAD 2012, if I change to "Old Editor" I get an error message - see attached.
I have tried MTEXTfixed at 0 or 1 with no luck. I do understand that you can zoom in and out to change the size of the text when editing.I run dual monitors and like to have the mtext editing on the screen without my drawing.

Every so often, and I have not been able to determine common cause, when editing mtext in the default mtext editor the text in the editor will display as some other font - handletter, TXT, whatever - something other than the Romans I typically use. And both the style and the font are set to Romans. When I finish editing, the final text in the drawing is correct, so it is more an annoyance than anything.

I tried to set MSWord 2007 (WinWord.exe) as my mtext editor by setting MTEXTED to the path to the exe file. When I try to create MText. I get an error that MSWord can't find a TMP file in the folder I created to hold my temp and autosave files.

I recorded a macro that inserts a block in top view. It works good but it takes allways the last inserted block, just like the insert command.
I would like to create a few buttons with macros tha insert a predefined block.
For example: I need a button that, when clicked, inserts 'drawing.dwg' in top view AND exploded.

I have a drawing with some annotative blocks. ie Block name "BAR'.
If I insert another drawing (mostly old v2000 files) as a block which also contains blocks named "BAR" (which of course are non-annotative) the Blocks do not show up.
Is there any way to get arround this? Idealy I would like the old file inserted and have the annotion scale of the blocks in the inserted dbg set to the current scale.

Is it just me or do the actions associated with parameters disappear on occasion from the block editor? Sometimes a regen will make them reappear, other times not. Closing/opening the block editor is one way to make them visible again (worked a few times at least).

I'm trying to make a small program in vb.net that creates are laser drawing. So far I was able to create the drawing from a part in inventor. The only left to do is to add the Part Number + description into this drawing. I'm really struggling on this one. I'm currently able to open the drawing and that's all. I've tried many things from examples I found on forums but it's not working. This is a sample of what I have regarding autocad in my program:

Why is this happening?
The dwg was fine, then it crashed while changing from modle space to paper space...
When i recovered the dwg, EVERY MTEXT I try to edit becomes rotated vertically and stays that way when i close the edit box...
I do not recall hitting any buttons or making any keystrokes without my knowing...
Is there a way to get my text back to Horizontal and stay that way?
I tried setting the MTEXTFIXED to: 0, 1 & 2.
NONE of these options changed anything.
I NEED to have this fixed. more importantly, i need to know why this is happening sop that i can take steps to prevent this happening in the future...
I am currently working with the latest CAD available.

I am inserting hyperlinks in an mtext object using the following commands:
1. Within the mtext box, right click and select "insert field"
2. Choose "linked"
3. Choose "Hyperlink"
4. Type in the web address in the box to allow autodesk to load the website
5. Choose "insert link"
6. Modified "text to display"
7. Exit text editor.
When I exit the text editor, the program crashes.

The Mtext Editor allows one to change the text highlight color by going through the Text Formatting toolbar, clicking the arrow drop-down menu, and selecting Editor Settings > Text Highlight Color...
This brings up a Select Color dialog box with a single Index Color tab, which lists the default color of 16,62,112 greyed-out in the Color field. In AutoCAD LT 2008, one can select any AutoCAD Color Index (ACI) color from a range of 1-255, including the seven basic color names for colors 1-7. In the full version of AutoCAD 2008 (and possibly other versions of LT?), there are additional tabs for True Color and Color Books, however these tabs are not present in LT. AutoCAD LT limits text highlight colors to ACI colors only, excepting the default color of 16,62,112 as noted above.
My problem stems from changing the text highlight color in a quick experiment: there is no apparent way to restore AutoCAD LT's default text highlight color of 16,62,112, since it is not an ACI color. I can pick a sort-of-close ACI color instead (I'm currently using color 156), but it seems like there should always be a mechanism to restore any variable to its default setting.

We've just started using an attribute in a dynamic block and I'm curious if there is a faster way to edit the text, like how you just click outside the dtext or mtext editor to save and exit. the editor.
We only need to edit the value field, not any of the other attritubes. I really like how the dynamic block is saving us some time, but the outdated editor is really irritating, and it's not always convenient to hit Tab then Enter on the keyboard.
Is there perhaps an alternate editor, or a way I can edit the value text in the mtext editor by default rather than opening up the Enhanced Attribute Editor?

I have an attribute definition and I need to add its value to an mtext. I added it in mtext insert field it is ok, every thinks work fine it is only needs a regen but it is not a problem.
The problem is when my mtext and att in a block regen does not work in model space, I had to enter block and regen. Is there any way to do it without entrance in block editor?
I attached a simple example.

New to using VBA with AutCAD. On my drawing I have to plot some line which I am able to plot using VBA. But when it comes to delete those lines, I have to do it manually. So gave a try to BLOCKS.
When I run the macro, I get following error -Run-time error - 2145320929(802100f)
AutoCAD is unable to service automation request.

One of the values for Y is 0. And the block instead of showing on X,0 it shows at some X,Y value. If you need to see the csv file I can upload it.

I just created a dynamic block for our rev clouds, cause they're annoying to draw.
For some reason when I insert it, it is automatically inserting at 0,0. Why is it doing that? Also, if I put it into a Tool Palette (my boss just discovered these, so I'm creating a whole bunch for the company... those things are AWESOME) and when I use the Tool Palette, it works just fine.
Now, this won't be a problem as long as everyone uses the TP's I'm creating, but we have one Engineer in particular that's a toolbag and doesn't seem to remember to use all the stuff I spend all this time researching and programming.

I use the following code to create blocks in AutoCAD 2013. When the user goes to insert this block, the insert command does not show a preview of the block when moving the mouse to locate it, and it comes in exploded. This was working at one point, but something changed. Is there some setting in AutoCAD or through the API that would cause this behavior?

When inserting certain blocks that were created in the 0 layer, they are not taking on the color of the layer in which I insert them.
Now when I click on the object, it shows up as being on the correct layer but the object is still white, I ran into something like this before, and was able to fix it by going into the Block Editor and setting the layer in there. This only happens on certain blocks.

I believe in our previous AutoCAD 2009 software we could create a block with attributes and save the drawing as a block, either wblock or create block. When inserting this block into another drawing we would get the attribute dialog box appear and complete the required information. Within AutoCAD 2012 we have made a block with attributes, when we insert this drawing into another drawing the block is inserted but no attribute dialog box. If I click on the block I see edit block definition dialog box with the drawing file name of the block and the block name. If I explode the block I then have my block and when clicking the block the attribute dialog box appears. It seems that in AutoCAD 2012 when we create the block and save the drawing and then insert the drawing it becomes a nested block type. Is there a setting I need to switch to prevent this and have the block insert and then click on it to change the attributes as required?

Last week we upgraded to ACA 2013 from ACA 2012.
I am now having issues any time I try to insert a Block into any drawing - I get a Fatal Error.
I have uninstalled & reinstalled this afternoon but I am still having the same issue.
It happens when I am trying to insert blocks from both the Design Centre & also from Tool palettes.
Other users in my office do not have this problem, the only difference between my set-up & theirs is that I have installed the 'AEC Section Display & Tag Scale Hotfix' but I have tried uninstalling this but had the same results.
